Lovely old truck you have there Joel, Earl is 5 years younger than me but he looks more healthier than I do🤒😆it will be interesting to see what you do with it🙏👍John UK
That was the last of the early 318 V-8 engines. Years ago I rebuilt one. T-18 transmission with a grammy first gear. 3-finger borg and beck pressure plate which had a habit of chatter. Good truck and my buddy now has a 392 hemi in it.
That’s awesome! So far I’d been driving him daily and it’s been a great experience! Not going to win any races but it gets the job done and runs really well! I’d love to do a 4bt eventually or put it on a Dakota chassis. We will see how it shakes out!
@@olie_olie_paintz The dizzy has points if I remember correctly. I wish I could find a 2 bbl carb from one to put on my Isuzu Trooper to get rid of the junk TBI. Keep an eye out for broken leaf springs with heavy loads. We pulled a 3-horse trailer and I would have to double-clutch to get into first gear without stopping on a hill.
I’m a lifted truck kind of guy. Drive out in the woods in places normal vehicles can’t go. What you’re doing sounds good though. At least you’ll be using it.
Sweet old trucks are very Kool!

I’ve got two 4wd Toyotas for that! A 03 sequoia and 07 tundra so one lowered old guy should fit nicely! 🍻
@@olie_olie_paintz nice! I have a 86 4Runner, 85 pick up, and 17 rav 4 limited.
Gross.
