Wildlife Photography. Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep Rut. No, this is not brotherly love. The rut is not just about the dramatic head butting. There is a lot of quiet drama going on. In between the butting energy bursts, rams engage in subtle intimidation such as: leaning on, leaning into, kicking, shoving or blocking movement of an opponent. Be sure to watch lambs playing on the cliff face at the end of this video.
