Hello, I’m Gary Kent, and I’m in Jerusalem, filming a new series of programs for ‘The Incredible Journey.’ We were actually supposed to film these programs last year and had made plans to commence filming in October. But on the 7th October, just two days before we were to fly to Israel, the militant Palestinian group, Hamas, launched a deadly terror attack against Israel and war broke out. We had to cancel our flights and filming plans.
Six months later, as things began to settle down, we consulted our agents, colleagues and church leaders in Israel, and after careful consideration decided to pick up our Israel filming plans and travel to Jerusalem. We were careful to ensure we took all precautions to avoid unnecessary risks.
However, it didn’t take long after getting here to be reminded of just how volatile and unpredictable the Middle East can be. On our first Saturday night Iran launched an aerial attack on Israel. The attack included 170 drones and 30 cruise missiles, none of which entered Israeli territory, and at least 110 ballistic missiles. Sirens blared here in Jerusalem and there were a few explosions as missiles were intercepted over Temple Mount. Israel, the US and their allies intercepted most of the missiles and drones. In fact, some 99% of the incoming barrage was intercepted either outside Israeli airspace or over the country itself.
Since then, things have settled down here and in a sense, life has returned to normal for most people. We have continued with our filming. We plan to film 10 new programs here in Israel. They cover a broad spectrum of topics, including, Jesus, the Bible, Bible Characters, Bible Prophecy, Archaeology and Ancient History. Watching missiles flying over Jerusalem is a sobering reminder that this is a time for us to pray for peace and an end to war. It is time for us to pray for those who are suffering and grieving. It is time for us to pray that the One who is the Prince of Peace will move the hearts of leaders toward peace, and that Jesus will come soon to put an end to all strife.

Heavenly Father, We weep for the peoples of the Holy Land, and pray for peace. In particular, We pray for the safety of all civilians - whether residents, or hostages, or tourists and pilgrims - and we pray for a cessation of violence. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

I was in Israel early this year Feb. 6th to Feb 20th volunteering with Livnot , helping to rebuild after attacks . We saw the Nova music massacre site & what remained of the Sederot police station that was attacked . We also helped with the red heifers .We did feel safe .
