Him and Charles Wesley were mightly used by God as the Lord remember the prayers made by their mother Susanna. I believe people like John Wesley and many others are what made America so very blessed by God. It became a nation of Christians and that every nation every tongue and every tribe could hear the gospel here and be safe. We protected the Jews during the Holocaust as many of them came here and the natives who lived here became Christian. And that is why this country has been so blessed. But now, liberalism has crept in and evil is accepted as good so I don't see the blessing lasting much longer

The only thing i found lacking in Wesley is he kept only nine of the ten commandments. He disregarded the fourth commandment. He pioneered selective obedience to the law saying it is part of the ceremonial law yet the nine are not. How can one commandment be considered ceremonial yet the nine are not? my take!

The only thing i found lacking in Wesley is he kept only nine of the ten commandments. He disregarded the fourth commandment. He pioneered selective obedience to the law saying it is part of the ceremonial law yet the nine are not. How can one commandment be considered ceremonial yet the nine are not? my take!
Thank you for sharing your perspective on John Wesley's teachings related to the Ten Commandments. I can understand your viewpoint that Wesley may have been inconsistent in adhering to the Fourth Commandment regarding the Sabbath day, while upholding the other nine commandments. Clearly, Wesley was not perfect, and we are highlighting some of his positive achievements here.

John Wesley saved nothing, it was God through him that did the work. Give the glory to God. As jesus said "without me you can do nothing."

A point of order. George Whitfield the greatest Methodist Calvinist was mightily used in that revival. Wesley said he led myriads to Christ.
Why did John Wesley determine his faith when he went to Georgia on whether society in Georgia accepted him instead of his relationship with God.

Yes. As a Methodist pastor in the USA, I have to say while this video is very informative on the life of John Wesley, it is also surprisingly anti-French. It's very unfortunate that this video links anti-French sentiments to John Wesley, the religious reformer.
