Dude, that blue looks so pretty on this Cruze. I got one too and am modifying it too. I've already done the complete 2.5-inch stainless steel downpipe and exhaust with two smaller dampers, thermotape on the exhaust in the engine bay and turbine hot box, cold air intake just like yours, K&N dual flow filter, Gas Pedal to choose which one the kind of acceleration I desire. Just missing a stg2 remap, maybe stg3 if I find someone who does it here in Brazil. Beautiful car, I wanted mine in that color too, but in Brazil we are satisfied with what arrives here, Top!
I messed with my girlfriends 2017 Cruze 😂 *_I did a little trick where I took apart the glove box, flipped it upside down so that the air filter is open. Basically I acts like a cold air intake using the stock air filter system 😂 plus it makes the turbo noises louder which I love! I'll definitely invest in a real cold air intake soon._*

Alright dude. I watched your video like 103 times to prep myself and installed my K&N today. Took me all of maybe 9 minutes. I like it. The woosh is loud but the rice rocket throaty sound I can do without. Its only been on for an hour and im so so about it.

You will hear an odd gurgle noise upon idle ( It's kinda off and on... might only be mine but not sure) Only assuming it's due to the removal of stock sound dampened air box. Other than that it does have a nice whoosh sound. Every so often I will get a blow off noise.

Bro i just installed this. 4 mins ago. I cant find the Pressure Valve that connects the intake to the engine. That small black box. Where do i get it??? Also a knob on a hose broke i need 2 replace.
That sounds really good. Have you thought about doing a stage 1 or 2 tune. I had a 03 Saab 2.0t I made a DYi short ram it sounded ok with a stage 2 tune, but yours sounds better odd.

I just change my air filter to my 2019 and I got it from Honda. Used. I put 15 k and changed my filter. Same shit bunch of trash 🗑 I had to take the tray off easily comes off and washed it. I thought it was just me tripping but now I’m watching this and I’m like wtf how’s all that trash go in there. But also Honda broke my filter I was lose 🤦🏽♂️. Thanks for the vid. Ur cool 😎
Hey man I have the same car. The only thing holding me back right now is the CEL. Have you thrown one since the install? I don't want that light on. This isnt a ghetto rice rocket so ill just not get that if it'll be on. Also will this void my warrantee? I purchased an extended from the Chevy dealer after some issues I've ran into.
I haven't ever done drop in filters, I always do intakes... So I can't say much except it for sure won't make near as good sounds cause you still have all the factory silencers and such in the intake...

Yes you said any ideas... My idea is you installed it wrong... You car wasn't backfiring, now you installed it and it is.... Common sense kinda just tells the story...
@@backwoodzcustomz1549 I barely used it for 1 week, then i got annoyed by the intake sound when you ride at 1500-2000 RPM's when throttle body not opening fully, it does annoying sound. Ended up using K&N drop-in air filter, happy with it now.

I dont believe they have a fuel filter. Also mine is under warranty so i dont want to void it.

That's just a Cruze thing... Not intake related... Use high octane when it's hot out... Makes it much better...

whats your fuel before and after the install. I have a 18 and i get 35/55 and had it up 65. As long as you do about 55.
I put it on less than a week of having it. I get 40 mpg on a tank.

The hose you took off the case of the OEM box, where did it run to? I’m having trouble with my fuel economy and I think this might be an issue.
The bottom? It was a drain.
Bet you have a boost leak. Cruzes get boost leaks in a number of places and wont throw the chicken light immediately.
10k later still no boost leak..

I havent thrown a code, nor should it throw a code. It says on the website it wont void a warranty.

AEM gives 10 HP
Both are really Great Intakes
Add 15hp then breaks transmission!!!
Guys put well over double the power it makes stock, through a stock auto trans and it holds up fine...
