This is really easy to build a DIY pergola.
Most of the time we used two tools, a drill and a hand saw because we are off the grid.

I think it is awesome that you made this with few tools and no mixing concrete. I would like to make something like this. I remember my mother making a bbq pit of some sort with a tire rim and coals...her bbq chicken tasted great! When I see you guys out there, I imagine you all bbqing. Take care Robert (and Alex).

The length of the three pallets is 3.6 m or 11.8 feet, the width of the four pallets is 3.2 m or 10.4 feet And a height of 2.5 m or 8.2 feet

It’s not about the foundations, it’s about what’s allowed and what’s not. We can’t use concrete, no heavy machinery on this plot. We don't build houses, we are building a simple deck with a pergola so that Alex will have shade in the summer.
