- Batman and Superman are two of the most iconic superheroes, not just in DC Comics but across all fictional media, including characters from the Marvel Comics Universe or the MCU. DCAU adaptations, such as those in the Justice League featuring The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern, offer some of the best dynamics between the 'World's Finest' put to screen. Batman & Robin and the rest of the Batfamily definitely present the best team-ups, but Batman/Superman also offer great value. 'Superman/Batman: Public Enemies' and 'Superman/Batman: Apocalypse' feature characters like Supergirl, Darkseid, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luthor. The DCEU and Zack Snyder fumbled in their depiction of Henry Cavill's Superman and Ben Affleck's Batman, as shown in 'Batman vs. Superman' and 'Zack Snyder's Justice League'. One can hope that James Gunn's DCU will offer a proper Superman in the upcoming film and a great Batman in 'The Brave and the Bold'. 'Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League' provided only slight glimpses of what the 'World's Finest' dynamic could have been after Batman Arkham Knight.

Seeing Clark and Bruce be friends who deeply care for and respect each other will always be more fun than seeing them aa enemies.
Bruce needed a friend around HIS age. Not just children following his lead, or a father figure like Alfred.
Clark was probably one of his first real friends after his parent's death, along with Harvey Dent, but we know how that turned out.
100% correct. It's top tier entertainment, and frankly, it just makes sence. There are no two more principled characters in DC than Superman and Batman, and their distinct personalities give so much room for good writers to have fun with.

World's Finest is probably the hardest name for a duo ever.
The relationship between Bruce and Clark at the beginning of Young Justice were Clark talks to Bruce about Superboy was fantastic, and how Bruce told him tjat he should kindle a relationship with Connor is important. The fact that Clark went straight to Bruce with his cobcern and talking about it over lunch is what i want for the DC movies now.
Also, Death in the Family where one of the scenarios is Bruce reminiscing on the events of Under The Red Hood to Clark.

I love idea of that these two icons have each other as their respective favorite superhero. They operate so differently yet respect each other immensly and even at times wish they had aspects that the other has. Superman/Batman World's Finest is still the best example of how to have Supes and Bats meet and not start as friends but gain mutual respect. While Public Enemies is the perfect example of their friendship as a duo. BvS was embarrassing.
And WB decided that in their first live action movie together, they should fight to the death and Superman should be killed off. They deserved to fail and lose money.

Batman and Superman are the best duo in DC. That's why they're called the World's Finest. The Batman Superman animated movies were definitely some of their best movies with them working together. While the World's Finest is a great duo, I think that they are even better with Wonder Woman as the DC Trinity. I honestly hope there's a follow-up video on how great the DC Trinity is.

I like the idea of having Superman not liking Batman when they first meet because of their differences and having a small fight or two but then having to work together to fight off a bigger problem. Then learning to adapt to each others style. Their teamwork like in worlds finest was amazing. After about a year or 2 is when they form the Justice league with other heroes. The only BvS we should see is in Injustice

DC has some of the best friendships/duos in the genre. Bats/Supes, Dick/Wally, Hal/Barry or Ollie, even Harley and Ivy when it's done well. Heck, even those who don't get along with each other like Guy Gardner and Batman is fun. One of the reasons Justice League International is one of my favorite runs as it was full of some well realized dynamics, as well as introducing my favorite dynamic in comics period - Booster Gold and Blue Beetle.
I love their animated movies so much.
Superman animated series, Justice League series, JLU, Pubic Enemies and Apocalypse were some of the best moments. I hope to see that dynamic in the DCU. It’s really, really needed.

Whenever I see anything that involves Batman and Superman together, it just brings a smile to my face because they’re the bestest of friends. Their polar opposite personalities yet their idealistic nature and linear agreements towards justice is just pure perfection. Superman and Batman: Public Enemies is a perfect example of their relationship. Basically every DC animated content is just perfection. Even with their very minor flaws, it just adds to the masterpiece that you’re gonna be watching. Love DC always 🤘 😈 🖤

Given how Superman Legacy will give us a young clark kent around 25 ish and how Brave and the Bold will give us a Batman who should be in his mid 40s cause of Damian Wayne robin, I am interested to see how the age difference plays a role in the dynamic. Ik that Bruce has always been older than Clarke but the age difference is quite significant. It may lead to a best friend/mentor dynamic like Anakin and Obi wan, except instead this time, both learn from each other and are literal and absolute best friends.
I love to see them give us the World's Finest movie in the DCU, where we see this new universe's take on Batman and Superman and show how the two of them met and how they interact with each other as good friends who may argue at times but still won't let anything tear them apart and act almost like brothers. Given how successful the current World's Finest comics are I say why no make this idea into a reality in James Gunn's DCU
seeing batman and superman fight in the dark knight returns back in the day worked because it was a novelty. they had always been friends so to flip the script was new back then. Now its been done to death and i just want to get back to them being buddies.

As good as they are together I think we don't have a good point of comparison due to them being DCs safe bet. So we mostly get to see them in adaptations and nobody else working together.

Man, thanks for reminding me just how good Batman/Superman: Public Enemies and Apocalspe were. I've seen those two movies more times than any other DC movie. World's finest Batman and Superman is peak: these two characters play so well off each other. We need more of this, tired of seeing Batman and Superman as mere coleagues or - even worse - enemies. It's as if The Dark Knight Returns has made people think that this is the only way for these two to be depicted together when at the time, it was an anomaly, not the norm.

The best part of Public Enemies, the comic, was when Batman told Superman he should've called instead of ahowing up outta nowhere, Superman replied he's faster than a phone call. They should have added this discussion in the movie.

I prefer Batman and Superman as the Iconic World’s Finest in the comics. Looking back at BVS today, I really didn’t like the part where they clash at each other and I know the DCU will reshape the World’s Finest. Besides, it would be a lot of fun to see Battinson team up with David Corenswet’s Superman despite the rules Matt Reeves and James Gunn were already clear on to make Robert Pattinson’s Batman co-exist with the new DCU.

I think the reason why this duo isn't more beloved is that DC makes them enemies far too often.
Yeah even with other iconic duos like Cap/Iron Man or Spider-man/Human Torch you have that occasional time where they are against each other but Superman and Batman are 50% of the time the best of buddies and the other 50% Batman wants to stab in the back Superman at the first occasion.
I think the problem is that writers took far too much inspiration from the Frank Miller/Mike Barr version of Batman: a paranoid asshole that has no problem indulging in violence and sees anyone near him as a threat/pawn to use for his own gain.
