    I'm very new to the hobby and this is one of the best videos I've seen, the explanations are so good and everything is illustrated as you build this and put it together, I will be watching a lot more of your videos and hopefully help make my car a lot faster

    If I change the damper setting to front and rear instead middle and rear would that will be ok? Or middle and rear is the best setup for beginners?

    For the gear bearing, I see that you are using the Gear Bearing Set while some people suggest using AO 520; what are their difference?

  • @richardjoseph2496

    the heavier the kit('cause of screws) .. will it make the car faster or slower? ...
    faster : 'cause it push the chassis down so the air will flow easier?
    slower : it's heavy what else? ...
    so what do you think? can help me with this one?

    Great video Mad Tang! One question:
    Will the Phantom Blade body fit the MA chassis?

  • @maasurino
    @maasurino 5 лет назад

    Is there anyway you can straighten the shaft on your own? Buying the packs and finding bent shafts is a waste of good money

    • @MadTangmini4wd
      @MadTangmini4wd  5 лет назад

      the best way~ use 72mm hollow shaft! 70% of hollow shaft are 100% straight! Unfortunately , the reinforce shaft only 5-10% are straight!

    First of all nice video and very informative. I played this back in the late 80's in the philippines where i live. Now that i live in US parts are hard to find. HobbytownUSA the closest hobby shop in my place didn't carry everything and will not get anymore even if i order.
    So where did you get all those parts. I need carbon FRP's at least 3 of each for AR, MS and RS. I also need rollers prefferably black in color at leat 20 pieces or 10 pairs. And also the AO ball bearings for 10 car setup. And i also need a racing circuit but would buy it later. Please help!!! Thank you.

      Local Hobby you can go which have parts available is TQRCRACING.COM, located at Chino Hill, California.
      Second , the Marukai Artesia Store, locate at Gardena California. Third, Ultimate Hobbies, located at Orange, California.
      and also in Bay area of California, you can go to Midas Collection located at SF california. By the way , only TQRCRACING has online shop you can purchase online. Or you can buy from EBay outside of USA.

      Mad Tang Thanks for the info. I was so excited to see all the parts that i want listed in TQracing. Sad to say all that wanted was sold out. Really wanted the carbon plates and the 19mm rollers but it's all sold out. So i guess my best net is just go to the stores you listed. Couple of questions. Do they carry all the the parts that i wanted specially the carbon plates and the rollers and second i'm from Fresno so the closest will be the midas collection which is in SF, so the have plenty of inventory on all the parts i listed?

    • @MadTangmini4wd
      @MadTangmini4wd  9 лет назад +1

      Mas Bayu o.k. what size of roller to use on the setting, it is really depend on track layout... if you use 15475. it is fine. but if the track have a lot of wave section, you better use 19mm

    • @masbayuo.k.1006

      Mad Tang i see .. so itwill better if i make rollers setting later( after see the track).. 15475 13mm Ball Bearing Set II

    6 years later and I discover a cheaper hack: Buy the Basic Tune Up Set for your Chasis then buy the Upgrade parts. It saves you some money because you wont have to buy the basics because it's already provided by the basic tune up parts.

    • @MadTangmini4wd

      they are same~ 15347 is a bundle pack with 520 ball bearing~ the 15390 is just individual package of florin gear shaft~
      The video I am just giving you a sample you can take a look at~~ I don't wanna open my new package because I need to save all the sample package for other videos

    Do you recommend the aluminum wheels on the AR chassis? Or generally speaking

    • @MadTangmini4wd
      @MadTangmini4wd  9 лет назад

      Aluminum wheel , first disadvantage~ take off slow~ too heavy, re-acceleration slow. advantage: Long distance top speed faster, less rebound

    you need brake on the front,.. because of the ramp Lol

    • @MadTangmini4wd
      @MadTangmini4wd  8 лет назад

      +dj minions de spicable Brake on front will cause head down first, which is real bad for jump (it's like you driving fast and give a very heavy emergency brake, you still need acceleration on the jump due to after landing, it will cause you second acceleration slow) More pro setup today at mini 4wd, it is front need less brake, just sliding on front, to give more smooth entry the ramp or bank or slope, and use rear brake as help for slow down and preventing over lifting on front head. Front brake is not necessary in today;s mini 4wd, because we need more better setup on control the jump position. The front brake in some track layout will work, but most of semi speed, and speed tech track will not work at all.. thanks for your comment.
