My favorite is torque tuned and light dash motor,because they are running wus..wus..with minimun worry of klontang..also both are tamiya friendly like my moto "run fast dont crash" 😄😄😄

@@melvinsantiago6227 melvin santiago pro series don't have hyper dash 3. They only got Hyper Dash Pro and Mach Dash Pro for high level motor. I found some people using HD3 (Hyper Dash 3 for single shaft) to mention HDP (HD Pro). It's confusing 😁 Anyway, can use both. Depends on the layout and your machine setup.
Kebetulan liat feed ini jadi mau nanya, kalau turbo dash, touch dash, dan zen tuned masing2 masuk kategori apa ya? Btw saya sudah nyoba beda akselerasi antara torque tuned dan rev tuned. Rev tuned akselerasinya kecil banget jadi pas start lambat. Kalau torque tuned torsinya besar, kadang bannya spin atau slip di tempat pas start.
I need your advice on what can be done to avoid pinion gears loose/slipping on the motor especially on the double shaft motors. Other than replacing the pinion gear is there any other solution besides glue?

@@roscoechannel thanks!! I bought the Torque Tuned 2 and indeed their reported torque is very good on uphills. But are not good for trains, because they increase the speed too much, causing most trains to derail at the bends.

I've never used that one, but I've used Plasma Dash a long time ago. I was a beginner back then so I didn't know much about the characteristic. But I think you don't need to buy it. The other motor such as Sprint, Hyper and Power is already enough to give your car a blistering speed.
Yes. Most of the layout around my place are kind of technical. So using Ultra Dash or Plasma Dash will increase the chance of the car getting coursed out due to overspeed. 😫
i have an ultradaah motor, it relatively new but it pulsates after i soak it in silicone oil and sewing machine oil.. does cleaning it solves the problem?
I'm not sure about that. U shouldn't soak it with sewing machine oil to begin with, it'll mess up ur motor. U gotta use a contact cleaner + lubricant. Imo.
Haven't compared them. But Ultra is definitely on a different category than sprint and power. Ultra is not allowed in official Tamiya Mini 4WD races in Japan.

I'm thinking of buying the Power-Dash for good acceleration. Also, I've read somewhere that the Ultra-Dash motor isn't good for long term use? It would be really helpful to know. Thank you!
Hello. I've never played RC before, so I don't know which one is better. I guess you should try power dash. Ultra dash is on a whole different level due to its high rpm specs (this motor also can't be used on official mini 4wd races). About ultra dash lifespan, I guess it depends on the frequency and the duration of the motor usage. I hope this info can answer your question. Thanks for coming to my channel.

@@kreiyt28 I didn't notice a significant difference about battery consumption while using Power Dash or other motors. Probably because most of the layout were not that long. I've never done any research for it so I can't answer your question. I usually use neo champ batteries for my Mini 4WD machines. It's listed as 1.2V 900mah AA type battery, but the actual voltage can go up to 1.4-1.5V based on the reading on the charger.
No data regarding the exact difference. Based on some racers testimonials, the 2018 carbon is a bit hard compared to the regular one. It can produce great performance but the durability is kinda bad. I personally don't like using the 2018 or the other yearly HDP. I prefer the regular HDP. But u can check my HDP break in video to see how it runs.

If im not mistaken double shafts are much powerful than single shafts plus if you're joining a competition you cannot fight single shafts with double shafts and vice-versa. You have to understand what category you will be joining in and build your tamiya around it :)
Wrong. Single shaft can also beat double shaft. That's why in Japan Cup or any race in Japan doesn't divide the class between single shaft and double shaft. But, it's correct that double shaft motor got more torque.

I guess it's for playing at home for kids. Because it has an automatic off mechanism to avoid potential dangerous condition for kids such as heat build up on the motor when it the car got stuck
@roscoe channel @john ong in my car, jet dash can achieve 48 km/h and ultra dash is about 50 km/h. Jet dash has higher torque than ultra dash, but they perform similarly. Jet dash is also banned in official races because it is a discontinued item. I think jet dash is categorized as a higher version of power dash.
I think I only tried that motor once when I just got back to this hobby. I don't think that motor is needed. The speed of the Sprint, Hyper and Power Dash motor are more than enough.
Plasma dash is the most powerful motor tamiya ever made for mini 4wd. It is banned in tamiya sanctioned races. But you can still use it in private races...

It depends on the race event. But Jcup, GP, Spring, Summer, Autumn, World Challenge, Asia challenge none of them allow Ultra Dash motor to be used. If you're talking about private races, then of course it's allowed. 😄

For me, Super 2. Easy to be used. I used 4:1 gear ratio. Not using S2 anymore tho. I'm more into double shaft machine. 😁

If it's too old then u just need to buy a new one. It's a lot more easier. I don't have any idea how to repair a broken motor.

I guess it's for playing at home for kids. Because it has an automatic off mechanism to avoid potential dangerous condition for kids such as heat build up on the motor when it the car got stuck

I never touch Jet Dash. Not even once. Got no info about it.
@roscoe channel @john ong in my car, jet dash can achieve 48 km/h and ultra dash is about 50 km/h. Jet dash has higher torque than ultra dash, but they perform similarly. Jet dash is also banned in official races because it is a discontinued item. I think jet dash is categorized as a higher version of power dash.

Yes, for a technical layout in Tuned class, Torque Tuned is definitely my favorite motor. You just need to break in the motor in the right way.

I think I only tried that motor once when I just got back to this hobby. I don't think that motor is needed. The speed of the Sprint, Hyper and Power Dash motor are more than enough.
Plasma dash is the most powerful motor tamiya ever made for mini 4wd. It is banned in tamiya sanctioned races. But you can still use it in private races...

-Balanced speed & power: Hyper Dash

Besar rpm tergantung juga dari cara break in motor. Tapi karakteristik dasarnya demikian.

But Jcup, GP, Spring, Summer, Autumn, World Challenge, Asia challenge none of them allow Ultra Dash motor to be used.
If you're talking about private races, then of course it's allowed. 😄
