They are a strong people with a rich heritage i have all the hope in the world for these children
That's great, but that is about all these kids have is your hope, because they darned sure haven't got any of their own.
Heartbreaking....I have always looked at Native people with lot of respect since childhood. The traditionnal way of living they had was so respectful. They are beautiful people.
Omg her father passed that just made me cry
Being part native american this shit hits hard! My heart feels for these kids, so much pride in their culture but acknowledging the downfall and steering away from the clutch. I hope they follow their dreams and lead successful lives, my heart hurts for the father who was trying to come up but lost his life to the clutch ❤️
Native American tribes have embraced Islamic teachings. In apostasy (Christianity) by the Spanish colonizers. Already devoted to Allah. Why not return to know tauhid. KNOWING ALLAH 'AZZA WA JALLA By Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab When asked: Who is your God? Then say: My God is Allah who has guarded me and guarded the universe with all the blessings He has bestowed. besides Him. Allah says in the Quran Surah Thaha : 14 'Indeed, I am Allah, there is no god but Me, so worship Me and pray to remember Me.
these babies deserve everything. it breaks my heart
I love ❤ to see Native American children POWWOW dancing they look so cute and happy it sometimes reminds me of me when I was their age young and innocent may God bless them always. 😅😂😊

The second genocide. Get those liquor stores out of there. Teach the next generation. Not to use drugs and why not to. Education is key. Lakota forever... Lakota free.

Not that they shouldn’t do drugs, because curiosity will always come back, teach em what they used to be taught what drugs really are and when and why to use them

😢 my fellow brothers & sisters…. Keep your faith and keep fighting for your family….. im 45 lost both my parents, a brother & a sister…by cirrhosis…. But I’m fighting for my kids….it gives me a purpose….to see them graduate when the time comes….. keep praying 🙏🏾 for strength 😊
Made me cry. It's sad that so many of our people are that lost. This is a reason as to why I'm working towards my goal career. To start helping our people as soon as I can in any way I can. I hope that little girl is and her family are doing alright now.
no one has the right to your freedom and no one has the right to silence your beautiful souls!!! respect. love you.
OMG...that is heartbreaking.
This is another great example that OUR Tribal Ways will not fade......For I am of half Mexican/Cherokee background. We are proud Native People. Our Ancestral scars are deep and we still stand strong as One Native Nation! I pray everyday for Pine Ridge Reservation.....Our Great Chiefs such as Red Cloud, Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Chief Joseph......many more great Chiefs of our past.....have not found peace in the next journey knowing that their Native people still suffer today in many different aspects. I find my peace at Pow Wows where we gather and continue our proud dances and ceremony. For those who doubt us, for those who still carry a European colonized mind set......we are Earthly people, we are strong and we shall remain. Erase the hate, do not judge us or portray us as savages, respect our Earthly ways. Come to our gatherings so we can show you who we are!
I pray for the happiness of these people. Remember smart people learn from their own mistakes. Wise people learn from the mistakes of others. God will give you his glory if u trust him. I love you.
That little girl is a doll. How can we as a people turn our backs on these precious children?
My Brother was found dead recently in a motel room. Autopsy results came back as alcoholism and kidney failure. We knew he was a raging alcoholic all in one year he lost his home his brand new truck his job as a manager on the siding site for construction. Blame himself for my other brother's death and it was his fault but he didn't need to drink himself to death. He had forgotten he only had one kidney.. as he had lost it as a child from blunt-force trauma on a coffee table. And with that one kidney that was remaining it wasn't enough the battle that alcoholism. It's breaks my heart that he died alone in that hotel room we tried calling him and he wouldn't answer to nobody. So when they mentioned that he had died we right away assumed it was suicide. Poor guy was down on his luck he had just gotten his third DUI and was heading for major jail time and he had just gotten out of prison 10 years earlier for murder. Now this. May God Rest His weary soul. I love you Bro . please give our other Brother a hug for me.. Rest easy.. I love you and mom Loves you and misses you..

I hope that little girl is doing okay ❤️
These kids are Soo cute, beautiful little girls
that deserve every opportunity to thrive and be happy ♥️♥️
I'm crying right now😟😟This breaks my ❤
My heart is breaking. White man has a lot to answer for. They did the same in my country, dispossessed it's people from their land, their language, their culture, fed them poor quality food and introduced alcohol and desperation. It's a system of defilement that colonisation replicated across the globe. So so sad to see such beautiful people suffering so much. I want to help, but have no idea how to do that.
Ishi Lala thanks for having that big heart you are a nice person ...
Selma Cat TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS!!!! EXCUSES DO NOT .....BRING YOU OUT OF DESPERATION .....NOR DOES...ALCOHOL!!!!
The only answer is prayer😎
The white men in power at the time of colonization had a lot to answer for, but they're long dead.
U think it's the white man when we have to stop that blame. And start fighting this and getting this out to where are people cant get it. Take a good look around and see that many stores are owned by arabs. How many races now live I'm this country and are thriving making a good living. Blaming the white man today is an excuse that we been using. Open your eyes and u will see the truth. I been around I meet many people. I also have had threats my cousin was beat for holding a sign that said native lives matter. He spent 2 weeks in the hospital. Because of a sign that said native lives matter. And I guess some black men did not like that. When I speak out I am called many racist names. And i been told by a black man that said we thought u people done killed yourselves off. I was told how are ancestors killed the real natives of this land off. That they was black and how they are now rising up and are going to take back their lands. Keep blaming the white man I would have agree with u long ago. Now we have a real racist man that's about to be president. Along with harris both have a history of racism. Look what trump was doing for black people. But they wanted government money more. If he fought for us I know a lot would have been done for us. And if he had gotten those 4 more years we would all be talking positive. But we can thank all the lefts and riot's and etc. Black people living better then us. Because they receive more help by the white man. Now our boarders will be flooded with the biggest gangs and the worst drug dealer's. All that will sweep across this country. And when we speak we now speak to one another with anger.
Big Love from Denmark
Sweet baby! I hope they all get all they deserve. This makes me so sad.
If you are doing a story like this, it is essential that you also speak of the legacy of inter-generational trauma that the people have inherited. The US has not even begun to address the history of colonization. Until that begins, harmful behaviors will continue.
Diane Owen 😂😂😂
Diane Owen respect
they almost do discuss it when the woman trying to help says indians are below low and it has taken generations etc ..that is what she is talking about and it is too bad they did not have her delve deeper
Lmfao of course their behaviour has nothing to do with them. Its always other peoples fault.
Lost Wanderer yeah, you fucking dumbass. They were forced to the most infertile, worst land after being killed in droves. Now, the government gives them liquor licenses and gun licenses very easily to continue the cycle of suffering. Educate yourself and try to develop some empathy
I cried. That's sad, knowing my sister is of native American descent, its hard to earn a living, its even hard to live. Godbless his family and my prayers are forever with the "19" + family members.
does that not make you native also?

That Little native girl chante was so adorable! I hope and pray she has a better upbringing then her parents! Take the liquor stores out, that’s a no brainer! Put Grocery stores, without alcohol, libraries, etc, etc. Positive things that will help them to progress!!, this pisses me off because my grandpa was First Nations!
LiSa MaRiE it’s Shawntay she is my cousin and he’s my uncle I was so Close to him and this happened I mourn for him everyday
It's generational PTSD from the trauma my ancestors caused in the name of their families thriving. It was so wrong the way they were treated. I wish there were a solution.
Respect
You say that like there's not a solution. Of course there is a solution, it's just a bunch of little ones all put together. It's a dangerous idea to feed people the notion that it's helpless or hopeless, because that's when people say fuck it and stop trying, or give up. I look forward to the day when everyone is doing so well that people are like "nah, they never had it so bad" because they just can't believe that's how it used to be. Mark my words, it'll happen.
GENERATIONAL...YES...THEY WANT TO SIT ON THEIR ASS AND GET A CHECK...EVERY MONTH...GET YOUR ASS OUT AND WORK...HAVE RESPECT FOR YOURSELF!!! EXCUSES...EXCUSES...BULL!! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF!!!!! NO SYMPATHY!!!
@@tigersteele9552 They can't leave the rez because the U.S government will take their land. How are they going to work when there is no jobs? How stupid are you? Do you not know Native and European history? Your on their land so you need to learn some fucking respect

Raw/Natural Cannabis (Kaneh-Bosem) is a huge part of the American culture. That’s why American Indians are known worldwide for possessing it. It is not bad or harmful to health unless chemicals are added to it. It is a medicinal plant 🌱.
I pray the Great Spirit surrounds the family with healing dew for the transition of their relative.

Incredible, I donate all house hold goods, and computers, etc to One Nation Walking Together. They take care of the reservations on Pine Ridge and Rose reservations. The best cause to help out as you can see in this wonderful docu-series.
Alcohol happen to Montagnard indigenous today too before Vietnamese not settle in our land we drink alcohol just socialize ceremony, Wedding day but not like today people drinking alcohol so crazy many people lost their life.
His soul is watching her.
Banning booze isn't gonna do squat. Us pale faces tried prohibition a century ago. Spoiler- it didn't work. Anyone who wanted to drink was able to get booze no problem and it helped spawn modern organized crime. Ya'll have got to start teaching your people from infancy to stay off booze and drugs and put pressure on those who do- shame, ostracize, whatever you gotta do. Simply banning booze on the reservation isn't gonna cut it.
From Celtic to tribes of Native America to tribes in Africa like the Dogon tribe. They (the government)want them gone
That's a sad sad way..I would like to do something about it..can I move to be close and help ??

Excuse me, Diane Sawyer? Alcohol isn't the problem. It's the go to. WHY?🌈😎
The liquor store owners are so predatory and disgusting. They know what they're doing.
I come from a long line of alcoholics, I enjoy cold beer but I still get up, do my job, pay my bills, chill with my boys. These people, the majority, are beyond help, just look at their faces, hundreds of years of eating dirt.
So sad honestly unbelievable...

rude and not progressive to display the indigenous issues but not address the colonial context that caused those issues.
Sadly a lot of the Natives here are addicted to way more than alcohol. There is a good treatment center here for them though. It’s called New Day. Also, my daughter dances every year at Pow-Wow. The beautiful regalia, drumming, and dancing is a sight to behold.
Pray this is spiritual oppression
