Glad it worked, but at 4:38 you actually installed the rubber grommet backwards, the taper is made to pull it to center in the ceramic opening while the flat side would meet your washer, flat. Take care.

This install was performed precisely as per the manufacturers instructions. The drain is centered and there are no leaks. This was done correctly. Thanks for sharing your opinion though🙏

Does the new steel piece come in different lengths, of would you need to cut it to fit into the P-trap?

I’ve only ever seen them I one size fits all. If it were too long then yes indeed you would have to cut it down. Just make sure you file the edge down so you don’t get a buildup. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe

senseless to have an overflow when you cant put a stopper in it to hold water

You are correct. However I’m not going to replace the whole sink. I was only having issues with the drain and stopper. Hair and slime likes to build up in the stopper style drains and I was pulling it apart every few months to pull the clumps out. I like This style of drain. Because it’s clog free. I only replace the parts I need to. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
