Thank you so much, you made it look so easy. The minute I finished your video instruction I went and took mine out and replaced it. I'm a 64 year old woman if I can do it anyone can. Just take your time don't be in a hurry. Thank you again.
This was a perfect video. I had already taken off the faucet but couldn't figure out how to do the drain. I'm a female in my mid-70s and it was so easy. To do everything from beginning to end it took me 45 minutes. I have two more to do and they'll each take less than 30 minutes and I will have saved myself $300!! Thanks fo much for this video.
I have watched a lot of your automotive repair videos and you have such a great way of explaining things. And now I stumble across you in plumbing. Plumbing is sooo much easier! haha Thanks for making these videos. 😀
Thank you for watching both my channels. I hope you subscribed. Give the choice I would prefer to work with home repairs instead of cars.Lol Happy Holidays.
Thank you for your video! I replaced mine for the first time! I looked at multiple videos, and yours was the most in depth! Much appreciated for your help, keep up the good work!
Thanks for the video. I successfully replaced mine after years of putting off buying a whole new sink because I thought that was what I needed to do. Great pace of explaining!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us! I was able to re-putty the drain flange and put the whole thing back together again thanks to your helpful video.
this covers it all in a thorough, easy to understand format. i am very grateful for your instructions and the time spent to produce it and help others.
thank you for the video. I'm wrestling with replacing a 1970's BR sink drain (and fixtures)... your vid got me close enough to defeat the old skook design.
Wonderful video and instructions with very clear steps to take to where anybody can understand! Thank you for sharing this wealth of information and keep your wonderful videos coming! Truly very helpful and a money savor! Gid bless you and take care! 😊
Thank you so much for the great video. I am getting ready to replace my pop up drain. Your detail presentation is excellent. Was happy to observe the direction of the gaskets when assembling the nuts. I will be watching your channel. Bill
Only thing I do differently is to add pipe dope on threads where rubber gasket, washer and nut go. Not convinced the rubber seal will always squeeze to the root of the threads
Thank you for the video! I was trying to donit myself but the old drain halo on the top won't unscrew...there is cement. I tried to remove it and use the pliers but won't even move. Any recommendation?
Some drain fixtures come with a rubber seal for the drain cap(the piece that the drain neck screws up into), would we put the putty between the seal and cap or under the seal to still be pulled against the drain?
Bought a Jaclo brass and stainless pop-up drain similar to yours. Not much change back from a hunnert dollars. But instructions? No. Not a damn thing. Your video got me there.
What did you use to 14:19 is that the same thread lock you put on the metal sink drain the same that you used on the PVC? Wasnt sure if there was a specific one to use when connecting metal to PVC
I think I figured it out. Didn’t have the “piece up on the top” screwed on far enough. VERY IMPORTANT!!!!. OMG. I have taken this apart and put it back together so many times……..
How much would u charge to change the r Toilet and the pedestal sink and also shower doors and the shower faucets and fresh paint ? Just asking because I wouldn’t know how to charge ???
I was SOOO upset that I had to replace my drain! So ordered from Home Depot and decided to take a crack at it, turning on your video. Did I happen to mention I'm a chick? Anyway, I digress. I just wanted to tell you that my frustration with my sink vanished when I began laughing at your cat inspecting your work, his/her tail in the camera's eye! Kitty says "You did a meow-velous job!" TOO FUNNY! Thanks!
Thank you for your input and for watching. You should see when i'm working and the cat and my dogs all come to see what I'm doing. I hope your replacement of the drain went ok.
My sink drain still leaks. What am I doing wrong???? I bought a new assembly so new washer. It leaks under at the rubber washer. Am I screwing the nut on too hard?
All the videos fail to show the other side of the P-trap that do not use screw connectors and have been glued into place. A replacement video showing that is what I need.
Can’t just use any kind of plumbers dope or putty on PVC or ABS it will deteriorate the plastic after awhile. There are specialized sealers to be used on plastic pipe threads that are also good for metal threads, available at big box stores like Home Depot. You may have to cut the vertical portion if too long, should go at least 1” into the P-trap. This video uses an extension on the vertical, something that is usually sold separately. I’m not a plumber just a DIY guy.
Wish you would have clarification placements on the washers.. you know the rubber seals. There are so many types of styles. Wish you had a few examples. Remember, this is viewed in many Countries and States. Just saying.. 👋🏽😊🇹🇹

Where the bottom gasket (just above the brass nut) goes into the bottom of sink from underneath, any need for silicon and sealant there?

I have a popup stopper. When I try to take the tailpiece off, the whole flange inside the sink turns. How do I take the pipes off?
Is there a beveled gasket on the pivot arm ball? AIs gasket at the nut or at pipe?
I don't think that the pivot arm has a gasket.

I'm not seeing any info, including on the product, about how long to let the thread sealer to cure. Thoughts?
You can use it right away. There is no cure time.

My sink drain still leaks. What am I doing wrong???? I bought a new assembly so new washer. It leaks under at the rubber washer. Am I screwing the nut on too hard?
Be sure “piece on top” is screwed on tight! Very important!!!!
great review
Instead of using thread locker along all the threads, is it safe to go with Teflon tape instead?
Yes, I too prefer Teflon tape.
How come my stopper jiggles and tilts in the open position? I have no leaks and it works but its annoying.
Thanks for your video. Very helpful.
