Yes Jacob can sing I was blown away when I first got into thorhill back in 2021 then checked their music out last year and man thornhill is the best band you should check Cherry Jacob's side project if your into indie pop.
Dude, right? I feel like if I attempted that I would never get it right. I bet he has phenomenal hearing. What a gifted singer, like a modern Jeff Buckley. Which is amazing
@@hodfranko8027 Jacob has said in an interview that Jeff Buckley is his big influence and inspiration in music along with Elvis and Gwen Stefani from No Doubt.
listen to their whole premier album called the dark pool, this is a masterpiece. They recently changed their style to a muse/deftones kind of style and will release a new album on june
@@hik.horticultures There's a lot of Buckley vibes on a lot of early Muses vocals, probably that coming through. Seems less so with Thornhill but tbf the tone of his highs particularly in that last chorus aren't a million miles from Buckley's at the end of the track Grace Post Heroine drop Edit: Ok Heroine has a fair amount of Jeff Buckley does metal-core vibes! And its bangin!
I'm a very big muse fan and a very picky one at that. I started off not really feeling the cover but boy am I glad I stayed. This man's vocal range is absolutely perfect for a muse cover and those lovely Djenty guitars make for a really fun new spin on one of my all time favourite songs. That drumming is sweet af too. These guys might have a new fan :)
I've been a Muse fan for years and i clicked on this cover just from mere curiosity and holy shit! I love how this cover makes the song so much bigger. The drums, the guitar tone, the voice, i can't explain it but i'm sold. I will definitely hear more from this band
Yes Jacob is very Talented I got to meet him twice and I got a picture with him he's so sweet and down to earth guy you should check out his supergroup if your into indie pop called Cherry I highly Recommended Call me by my name it's such a very beautiful song and Jacob directs the music video too.
Jacob is the prince of vocals you should check out the collaborations he has done one with void of vision called year of the rat (redux) and vatic elegy too also he has a side project called cherry if your into indie pop it's very different from the metal side.
It makes perfect sense to cover Muse, not so much because of their sound, but like any young band, especially those in the wider musical world considered "genre" bands, to grow their audience. They suddenly have national radio exposure, with the potential to reach so many outside the metalcore scene, so why not give them something the audience at least recognises. I can guarantee more new fans from this, and more people listening to their full catalogue for the first time, than if they had played something unknown outside the scene. Crossovers like this can only bring more people to them and bands like them so well done guys, great cover, great work. Looking forward to your upcoming tour.
Oh my god... OH MY GOD!!!!! I am SOOO GLAD i clicked on this video because i have been binge watching a lot of Muse live performances and music videos so i guess that's why this cover version got recommended to me but Hot damn he absolutely KILLS it!!! Truly amazing vocals. Did NOT expect that at all bruh😳
Northlane, Thornhill and Polaris are literally my favorite bands in the scene. Void of Vision is actually coming on too. Aussie metal hits so different.
Ohmyfuckinggod I heard this in edit audio compilations and scoured the entire internet for it it’s so worth it OHMYGOD I feel like I just experienced a divine revelation 10/10
I went back to listen to the original and somehow after hearing this it was...not enough. This is such a muscular version of the song while keeping all the sexy bits.
Those drums sound so good. Big ups to the sound engineer on this mix. Also, are those p-90's!? I don't think I've ever seen P-90's used on a 7 string, amazing!
@@PepeSilvia22 That makes sense. Classy looking set too! The one in the pink strat is interesting as well. A bobbin cover I don't think I've ever seen. More like a Humbucker bobbin and tape than a P-90 hard plastic cover.
they look exactly like my gibson p94 pickup which is a black and gold p90 in a humbucker size. i cant imagine getting them being p90s for 7 string but probably humbuckers that look a bit vintage. if p90 pickup in there, wow!

Yes Jacob can sing I was blown away when I first got into thorhill back in 2021 then checked their music out last year and man thornhill is the best band you should check Cherry Jacob's side project if your into indie pop.
This was so dope.I love how he built up the vocals, started lower then went OFF in the high range. Gives it so much texture.

Bit of a stretch on the Jeff Buckley influence.

This was a monster effort on vocals matching Matt Bellamy on vocals is no easy task.
And he failed…

belting and falsetto are two different styles. that being said I think this version has more vocal merit. I mean everyone can do falsetto....

Yes Jacob at his finest.
I love how INTO IT the singer gets by the end. I was worried they would have no spark but they ramped it up nicely

This interpretation making it more physical and groovy as well as it being more bass heavy is amazing.
God damn! Those high notes are amazing and especially with all the vocal clarity! I'm super jealous
Excellent cover, and highlights how incredible Muse are to do this with only 3 people.
Muse Tribute Album? UNFD you've got two tracks now, one from Erra and one from Thornhill so why not a coupla more then ayee? 😎
Imagine Loathe doing Starlight 😳

This is the best Muse cover ever ! Jacob's vocal range fits so well with this one. And the result is totally in Thornhill's vibe : sexy as f*ck 😁
ERRA did a reasonable job of Stockholm Syndrome recently but the vocals aren't on this level.
I would agree Jacob is in my top 10 favorite male vocalist of all time and he’s my man crush Monday every day.
