I think thats why there was that eye shift from side to side..he knows he's lying and he feels awful about hiding that fact since now he knows Papy is hiding something which is completely out of character from him. He's been through many timelines so this must be a complete curve ball and he doesn't know how to handle.

For what’s its worth. It’s true that sans might not be able to remember timelines, he does remember small details of it and predicts reset through having deja vu of doing certain events before, while also looking at the expression of the player or flowey, seeing that they’ve done this before. So he might only remember little details of it, there’s a chance he’s aware of what flowey did.
Plus, if you remember during the fight with flowey, sans said “what? You still haven’t beaten this guy yet?” That might be hinted that sans indeed beaten flowey before, which also might be a hint that he remembers small details of the genocide routes flowey committed
HanHanPlayz in game, it’s established by sans that he’s practically given up trying to go back to the surface, or whatever progress that he makes because he knows that eventually, everything will reset. That shows that He can’t remember timelines, after resets, but he does predicts them. If it happened in game, then it’s canon. Toby doesn’t have to necessarily say it himself that it is. those game details are enough proof as is. Plus, he does have knowledge of timelines and the SAVE function as well, hence why he’s so aware of these things in the first place.
Good lord Papyrus' voice actor is insane. Honestly every voice actor is insane, everything conveys so much emotion that I can barely begin to describe it. This is a masterpiece
Subtly manipulative until they have you where they want you or you disagree in which case they turn on the abuse. Making you feel trapped in the toxicity and their toxic-ness begins to seep into you like a plague spreading from one to the other.

We all knew that Flowey was a sadistic evil tart, but this comic really drives that point in even further with a freaking electric drill. Love this. All the characters are consistent with their in canon appearances, the art directions is great, and the voice acting is top-notch. Props to the creator.
I like how Flowey is actually like how he is the game. Like in other Undertale stuff they tend to take certain aspects of him and make that his whole personality (like his anger is used to just make him some grump, while other times his false friendliness is toned down and he's just plain not even trying to hide it evil). Here he is still keeps that full Faux Affability even when threatening or attacking Papyrus, and his anger only sometimes gets the better of him, though his sadistic side is always still noticeable. Honestly a terrifying character

He would most certainly NOT burst into tears if papyrus spared him like that. He would burst into anger and be confused, like in video.
This perfectly symbolizes a toxic relationship. “Of course not, silly goose, your my friend after all :)” , “good boy” and “your so honest papyrus, I’ve always liked that about you.” in that horrible, condescending voice. The amount of manipulation and gaslighting never fails to make me sick to my stomach.
Yeah so Im not asking much here. Lets just turn that flower into nothing but a burnt pile of ash not even useful for fertelizer or sell its barley alive decapitated head to the humans to play around with. Thats all im saying.

This is probably one of the best interpretations of flowey I’ve ever seen. Perfect representation of feeling absolutely no regret or consequence for anything and everything he does. I’m in love with this timeline
I like the comic book aspect, whenever shit gets intense. Like when flowey and papyrus battle! Or when papyrus.. yells at his brother.. or when papyrus gets his arm ripped off.. golly gee this is sadder then I thought!
They really emphasized the horror of the situation, how he breaks his own values in order to protect those he cares about (Lying, attacking the Dog couple). It really shows how abusers can manipulate even confident and highly intelligent people with their toxicity. Plus, the voice acting just feels so natural, better than some high budget films even. I hope this AU isn't forgotten, or abandoned like the others, it deserves some serious recognition!

G.O.D Viole well, according to my knowledge, flowey can’t reset without a soul. And he’s a soulless being, so it’s not possible, unless he absorbs a soul or something. I could be wrong though.

I like how the art style changes depending on the tone of the scene. Whenever everything is tense, the lines get messy and thick, and the images are doused in red. That’s a very clever way to display action on a flat screen.
Surprisingly Toriel could easily beat the entire Underground but the thing for her is she is just like papyrus when it comes to humans but if she honestly used her full power she would be yeeting more than just flowey at that point

The most brutal UT comic I've ever seen... The characters still all work quite well despite being more adult themed, but this was very far from what I ever expected. While I doubt Flowey was meant to be that strong, the situation both worked and left a lasting impression. Though the two main characters act different than usual, they don't feel truly out of character. In fact, their altered relationship parallels aspects of real issues very well, and that's somehow special. Fun Fact: Papyrus in game is the only monster whose bullets will bring you to 1 hp specifically. Toriel herself cannot demonstrate that level of magical control.

y’know, when I looked up “papyrus and flowey” on yt today, I expected something angsty, probably involves some minor torture and/or manipulation. This comic portrays a toxic friendship and the stress and fear it causes in a realistic way that still feels at home within undertale. Your dub takes what is already there and heightens it to the kind of story I keep coming back to. Amazing job 💙💙💙
This has to be the first comic I've seen where sans isn't edgy and Papyrus isn't a dumb cinnamon roll and the characters are actually how Toby wrote/made them

I might be late, but I love this! I like how flowey doesn’t include how he was bringing Chara’s body to rest on their favorite flowers, how he’s the kings son, all of that! It’s amazing! This is great banter! Seriously....
I love the way flowey’s words feel like they could actually be used to manipulate somebody. And the art is amazing too! I love the rough linart during serious moments. The background music is great. The voice acting was perfect! I love everything about this!
Honestly, looking back on this, if the comic was finished, this would've been one of the most iconic Undertale comic dubs to date. It's visualization of FIABLC is outstanding and the story is condensed but to a point where it isn't just breezing through. It's fascinating how the original story took the idea of Flowey's manipulation and see what he would do with it, but in this readaptation, he is truly given the lighting of an expertly classed antagonist, to the point where he can even be looked at as a protagonist. If anyone wants to know the ending to this story and hasn't looked at the inspiration behind A Thorn in My Side, the original story is called Flowey is a bad life coach, posted of AO3.
DUUUUDE this has got to be the best comic dub ive ever seen not only is the scrolling and word reveal smooth and the sound effects are spectacular i personally love the creaking wood sound of flowey the most, the music is really intense as well and props to the author this is a great comic good word usage sounds exactly like what flowey, and papyrus would say 10/10!!!
This is the best, the writer clearly has a really good grasp on these characters, and the voice acting is great as well. Wish part 5 was out already. (please tell me this series has an ending)

They really emphasized the horror of the situation, how he breaks his own values in order to protect those he cares about (Lying, attacking the Dog couple). It really shows how abusers can manipulate even confident and highly intelligent people with their toxicity. Plus, the voice acting just feels so natural, better than some high budget films even. I hope this AU isn't forgotten, or abandoned like the others, it deserves some serious recognition!

I like how the art style changes depending on the tone of the scene. Whenever everything is tense, the lines get messy and thick, and the images are doused in red. That’s a very clever way to display action on a flat screen.

The most brutal UT comic I've ever seen... The characters still all work quite well despite being more adult themed, but this was very far from what I ever expected. While I doubt Flowey was meant to be that strong, the situation both worked and left a lasting impression. Though the two main characters act different than usual, they don't feel truly out of character. In fact, their altered relationship parallels aspects of real issues very well, and that's somehow special.
Fun Fact: Papyrus in game is the only monster whose bullets will bring you to 1 hp specifically. Toriel herself cannot demonstrate that level of magical control.

Because of this 106 wouldn't be able to bring gaster to his pocket dimension, giving gaster the upper hand. After 106 fails to bring gaster to his pocket dimension all gaster would need to do is blast 106 a few times considering the blasters are like mini eye-on cannons.
@Pacicide Jane even so, theres still no way 106 would be able to really harm gaster. So it'd either end in a stalemate or gaster would win.
This comic portrays a toxic friendship and the stress and fear it causes in a realistic way that still feels at home within undertale. Your dub takes what is already there and heightens it to the kind of story I keep coming back to. Amazing job 💙💙💙

I love the way flowey’s words feel like they could actually be used to manipulate somebody. And the art is amazing too! I love the rough linart during serious moments. The background music is great. The voice acting was perfect! I love everything about this!
Honestly, looking back on this, if the comic was finished, this would've been one of the most iconic Undertale comic dubs to date. It's visualization of FIABLC is outstanding and the story is condensed but to a point where it isn't just breezing through. It's fascinating how the original story took the idea of Flowey's manipulation and see what he would do with it, but in this readaptation, he is truly given the lighting of an expertly classed antagonist, to the point where he can even be looked at as a protagonist. If anyone wants to know the ending to this story and hasn't looked at the inspiration behind A Thorn in My Side, the original story is called Flowey is a bad life coach, posted of AO3.

DUUUUDE this has got to be the best comic dub ive ever seen not only is the scrolling and word reveal smooth and the sound effects are spectacular i personally love the creaking wood sound of flowey the most, the music is really intense as well and props to the author this is a great comic good word usage sounds exactly like what flowey, and papyrus would say 10/10!!!
It's good, but I've seen better like Casino Cups, or if your talking about undertale comics, it's probably gonna be Handplates or a thought.
If you like this, you might like handplates! I'd recommend it!
