The B.A.T.S. was one of the toys in the summer of 1986 that I absolutely had to have. Unlike a lot of my peers, my G.I.Joe collecting didn't really get going until 1986. I still have every part of it, minus the broken piece between the legs.
Still one of the coolest figures in the line. The B.A.T. and the Eels were my favorite Cobra figures when I was a kid. Nice review, and cool backstory about the origin of the chest sticker.
Just grabbed two classified BATS in “the wild.” Loved these as a kid and still have my original one I got on Christmas morning along with the Night Raven. Thanks for another great video
I wish I still had my vintage B.A.T., and also wish I could get at least one Classified B.A.T.; so far I have only managed to grab Classified Destro (03) and Classified Snake Eyes (02).
Hopefully the new BATS will be delivered to a store near you soon. Been looking for them everywhere in Vegas and finally two popped up at Target so keep hunting
I remember being thrilled with the release of the toy but also disappointed that the B.A T figure didn't match the same color scheme as the cartoon B.A.T. That backpack and accessories were so unique.
Great video as always good neighbor to the North. I only have a 25th anniversary B.A.T. but it's missing 2 arm accessories. On a good note I found a vintage AWE Striker dated 1985 on it in great shape for $40 at a local shop.
Even as a 7 year old I knew that nobody getting shot in a GI Joe cartoon was a little silly but realized why they couldn't do it. Having the B.A.T.S. around was a great idea that I don't know why they didn't do sooner.
The 2nd season episode My Favorite Things had a BAT stranded after a mission and I thought it was going to follow a story line showing the BAT becoming self-realized, but nope. Missed opportunity there.
Hey good brother. Again an awesome and super indept review of one of Cobras coolest figures of the ARAH toyline. Loved this figure as a kid and still love it as an adult collector. For me nothing beats the vintage figure. I bought the Classified figure just because I love the vintage figure so much (dont collect the Classified line😉). I preordered the super 7 version as well just to have a Sunbow versiion in the collection. But it will never beat my vintage one. Thanks for the great work you do for the community and the amazing content you create. Yo Joe
I always remember thinking that the BATs were actually very creepy. They were essentially like zombies. Mindless masses that would just keep going forward, blow chunks and pieces off of them…and they would still just go forward. Remember they would kick them out of aircraft in the Animated Series and they would hit the ground and keep moving with spears and objects piercing their chest areas…and I remember when the Bioannhihilator was tearing through them, no urgency, they just kept pursuing Slipstream and Stratoviper. They were an element of horror in the Cobra army, and of course a Machination of Dr. Mindbender.
il always remember that crazy b.a.t in my favourite things and his rivalry with wetsuit. far from being mindless he had a sheer determination to have frogs legs for breakfast
I wonder if they got close to doing robotic android trooper (R.A.Ts). Not a figure I had as a kid. Only sort of troop I had was a Viper. He either got treated like an individual character or got shot a lot to get up and act like another viper coming through. This was one I wanted though.
A very cool figure I like the first version black and yellow I have 2 of them but not complete hope toncomplete them or at least find one complete. Bats and Eels and Snowserpents are my favorite figs Great video
To be fair, for a special forces unit, the Joes weren't exactly dead-eye's either. 😏 Oohhh, 80's... you brought us so many thing's: neon colors; synth-pop/New Wave music; coming-of-age, group of friends adventures (The Goonies, Monster Squad, Stand By Me, etc); and shootouts that merely resulted in flesh wounds... if any wound at all- unless you needed to shoot a wire/rope/chain, or a helicoptor out of the air with a handgun. 😆 Hit a target center-mass from 20 feet? Impossible! Shoot the rope that has the netting with your friends trapped in it, from 50 feet, with chaos erupting all around you? Hold my beer... 🤣
00:43. Why are you specifying that it's an original from 1986? Are there reproductions of the B.A.T. that I'm not aware of? Are there reproductions of it in 3'3 quarter inch scale that I'm not aware of? Where can I fine these reproductions?
My Carded 1986 B.A.T is one of my fave pieces of my G.I. Joe collection.

That chest sticker/hologram still holds up. Super cool!

Love the B.A.T.s! Great looking figure, and accessories. Thanks for the review!! Nerdmasté
Always like the backs I have a couple of them they were always fun to play with when I was a kid I would always have to talk
wow i remember having this figure totally forgot about this one
B.A.T.S. were the Ford Pinto of Cobra troops.
Outstanding! Thank you so much for doing this!!!!
Thanks Bobby, glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video! Keep them coming!
Cool classic toy

i always thought it was the same bat we saw through the episode just getting repaired each time and getting more and more annoyed

So much for being safe, sarge just tore off the tumbler's roof

My brother had one. I thought they were cool. A much more streamlined option than the SNAKE armor or the Joe's PAC RATs lol.

Bats and Eels and Snowserpents are my favorite figs
Great video
Who missed more shots Cobra infantry or Imperial Stromtroopers?
Did either ever hit anything?
To be fair, for a special forces unit, the Joes weren't exactly dead-eye's either. 😏

Thank you.
I'd love to see a custom BAT with Roboto theme and vice versa for Roboto.
I see roboto with the little hand I think of the guy in scary movie

Bats are prone to burst in flame kinda remind me of the Canyonaro 😂😂😂
I always thought that machine gun attachment was a club.
Just got the python patrol recolor of the classified Cobra B.A.T. today
Got another one
Namaste Nerdmaste 😊👍
3:30 Roboto be like, “Look at me, with this tiny doll hand! I’m a short fingered vulgarian! I’m Donald Trump!” 😂
He Man is hanging from a cliff and Roboto (wearing B.A.T hand) is above shouting 'ya got to reach for my strong hand'
Would you be able to do a transformers 86 review... what comes out what is coming out, etc.
Gonna feel stupid for asking this, but what did that silver gun go to?
It look like the B.A.T was driving Optimus 😁
I thought that too!
just wanna say great videos!
also.. anyone else watching the old cartoons for free on TUBI? they also got MASK LoL
Neat.
Sroggs from Q2 lol
❤️💯💯💯✅🔥🔥🔥🔥
I know the animators had to love some guys they could do horrible things to that you just couldn't do to a human in action cartoons.
I got ideas for videos there’s 1. ROBOTIX or 2. Jayce and the wheeled warriors
