    One of the best toys ever made. The young daughter of my mum’s friend broke a couple of the rotors, around 1991. And I’m still not over it ...

    Today I recovered my 1986 Tomahawk. Some parts are missing (like the back door or one of the covers of the tail). But the hours of fun I had back then will be doubled now by my son.

    Igor Ivanovich Sikorsky was a Russian-American aviation pioneer in both helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Hama's use of the name Sikorsky/Sikorski is a tribute to him. Now you know! :D

    I remember waking up the morning of my 6th birthday to find this behemoth sitting on the kitchen table. My parents had actually assembled it and made a half-hearted attempt to put some wrapping paper around it! This was probably my most memorable b-day gift, the thing was larger than life when I was a kid! Many hours spent transporting Joes around my backyard, trying to shoot down my neighbors Nightraven. And of course, I very promptly lost Lift-Ticket's microphone somewhere on one of those daring raids in my neighbors yard... Great video and thanks for the dose of nostalgia!

    I use the Ghost Hawk Lift-Ticket for my Eagle Hawk (Tomahawk) as well. I renamed the Lift-Ticket that came with the Eagle Hawk, Bullseye and had him pilot the Ghost Hawk.

    Great vid!! Laughed hard at the Terror Drome getting lit up. I love both versions , this was one of the most versatile G.I Joe vehicles ever made. It was in almost every battle as a kid..and adult.. I could imagine. Your videos are just as good if not better than watching the old cartoon for the first time. Thanks Again!!

    I missed out on the Tomahawk back in 1986. I did pick up the Eagle Hawk in 2013, to make up for missing out the earlier toy. Since I already owned a Ghost Hawk, I put the included Lift Ticket action figure in the pilot's seat right away. As a long time G.I. Joe fan, this vehicle was always a favorite of mine in both the cartoon and the comic book series. Feels great to finally own one.

    My brother got this at Christmas when we were kids, I didn't. I literally shed a couple of tears cause I wanted it. They got me the Havoc instead as my "big" gift. I liked real military looking vehicles and I loved helo's. Even as an adult, I never was able to win a tomahawk, getting snipped on ebay constantly for them. I finally gave up when I got a newer huge chopper for the joes. Its KINDA like the tomahawk but with a trigger that turns the blades and seating for 3 up front and two doors that open on the sides. Kinda looks like the Russian Hind a lil bit. I can't think of its name, but I finally got my BIG chopper.

  • @bostonrailfan2427
    @bostonrailfan2427 3 года назад +1

    it looks like it could be a real military vehicle because it’s a combination of two! it’s a mix of a Blackhawk helicopter and Chinook helicopter
    reason for the Blackhawk vs. sea knight is simple: size, side doors, and cockpit shape
    Lift Ticket was like Wild Bill, Ace, and Slipstream: flying an important plot device. as the designated Tomahawk pilot and being a versatile vehicle it required him to appear frequently even if he’s not getting many lines. it’s why he’s in the movie as well

    Yeah the G.I Joe Tomahawk was the pride of my collection about 1988. I even took it too school one day for show and tell, carried it all the way half an hour down a main road. Gave it too my lil brother when I was 11 or 12 and he wrecked it R.I.P... I still have the pilot lift ticket somewhere. Great vid btw man..

      Thanks! Could take quite a while to do one full episode though....might limit me to only 6 videos a year! Plus they'd get taken down for sure for using entire audio tracks of episodes. The short clips are protected under fair use law.

    • @jasonvoorheesthethird
      @jasonvoorheesthethird 6 лет назад

      Michael Mercy maybe not using full audio from the cartoons, but something original from you would be even better instead...you are very talented and i would love to see something like that from you, im sure the vast majority of your fans think the same...maybe make a pole to know how many people are interested in that?
      Its just a suggestion, you are clearly one of the best at this, and it would be absolutely amazing to have you making full episodes like this, that would be incredible and im sure it would bring you a lot of new subs
      Anyway, like you probable already know, i really enjoy your work and like many others, i would love to see even more of it outside of your reviews
      I hope it becomes a reality someday! Cheers! :)

    I never owned the Dragonfly. I scooped this and Night Raven after a very lucrative lawn mowing weekend. Loved that chopper! I don’t have that one anymore. I did buy the Eaglehawk when it became available. I’m not sure why the 25th Anniversary line never yielded a re-release of a Dragonfly. But I enjoyed this and the Fangs.

    Omg, double MM! The t-hawk is my absolute fav joe/cobra vehicle of all time. It didnt see quite as much air-time as the jets, tanks, & awe-strikers, but as a little girl i really loved helicopters. I think because in my city even being black, we didnt see copters and think automatically 'its the po-po's, run..lol'; everybody thought 'wow, those guys are saving someone'. We had/have alot of LifeLight helicopters here in Houston, we still always think of a life being saved by paramedics. All thats to say i still love me some copters, joe or transformer lol. (& Yes Springer is my 2nd favorite post-movie autobot, MAGNUS IS MY KING of season 3! Which makes his brother Optimus, my transformer Jesus) The tommahawk was on the 1st vehicle on my must have list, thanks to your inspiring videos i got that stand off ebay too, along w/ a skyhawk, and 2 firebat stands, oh and one for Destro's whatchamacallit hover thingy lol. THANKS SO MUCH 4 FEATURING MY FAVORITE AIR VEHICLE BROTHER, good luck & Gods healing upon you for your wounded wing.
