I love Mariah Carey with all my heart, but i think she's been doing yo-yo dieting since last year. Like, she was thinner at the onset of "The Elusive Chaneteuse Show" tour, but near the end, she did looked heavier. And not so long ago, she was looking relatively svelte in Jamaica; But now it looks like she's gain all the few pounds she shed yet again. She's beautiful regardless, but if i may speak in total honesty, if she wants another explosive comeback, aside from creating great songs of course, it would really help a lot if she'd bring back the "Touch My Body" Mimi. And maybe a new stylist. The clothes she's wearing is not helping her in her current weight. Again, i'm not hating. All the things i've said are coming from a place of love because i'm rooting for her. I want 2015 to be her year. Just like how 10 years ago, 2005 was her year.

kixxumass Sadly, no recording (live or studio) of "We're Not Making Love Anymore" by Michael Bolton and Mariah Carey exists. Only a photo of them performing it does. It was supposed to be included in the "Emotions" album, but due to schedule conflicts, it did not materialize. So it ended up in Michael Bolton's album with him doing a duet with Patti Labelle.
It's been a few months^
I just hope this new album won't take four more years to come out lol

If your not allowed to post the entire song then why post it at all? It just doesn't make sense to me.... sorry to be harsh at you but some people may watch this and think 'So Mariah wastes half the time droning on her speech, sings a tiny bit of Hero and walks off stage' very inspiring.....

Her tone was on point..the voice is still clearly there she just needed to work on her add-libs and vocal runs they were a little off and some of the key changes but all in all she did good

She talked ramblingly for about 3 minutes, sang for a little over one minute, and perhaps half of that was out of tune. Yes, she has nothing left to prove. Yes, she is a legend. Yes, she is an icon. That being said, better renditions of "Hero" are being performed in grade schools, karaoke bars, on talent shows and by RUclips users all across the globe. It's painful to watch.

She doesnt sound bad at all. What i notice is that she's trying out a different singing technique...... One where she uses her lower register and runs. Maybe after all these years of belting and singing super high she just wants to relax a bit. But its not polished and honestly when she sings the words ON KEY it sounded better....it sounded like how it was supposed to sound. My advice to her would be to keep practicing her runs and singing low. But her voice is nowhere near gone or destroyed. She's just aging and trying to adjust.

Ppl its so simple, as we age sorry ; but, true our voice change due to growth, air, environment ect...even the musical instruments can be off! Studio music is different there perfection can be attain. so be gentle. When it comes to a vocalist and remember their best is always at heart for the listener.
