here's my opinion on Mariah doing Idol. First, I agreed with her husband that she was to successful for the show. Then years later, after watching many of her videos here on youtube I concluded there is no one better for that show. She is the consummate talent and her discography covers everything. American Idol always needed mentors. The contestants didn't know what they were doing each week, and it shows. Because it was never about the contestants. Look at the people were the so called "faves" to win and runners up. Only a few have made it, out of how many people over the course of nearly 15 years. Side note, I would have loved to see Prince and Mariah on that panel, the shade would be real. Would have been worth watching that struggle ass show that should have ended more than 10 years ago, and not recently.

One thing I love about Mariah is that’s she’s so real and humble and I love how she claims her black side and have so much of a appreciation for it. Even tho her dad wasn’t in her life she didn’t let that stop her from embracing and loving her black side. Matter fact she claim that more than her white side
