Quite literally
Ace combat fans:*BREATHING HEAVILY*
I'm disappointment there was no Ace Combat 7 reference in the comments.
I was looking for the exact same thing. . .
I’m 57, and a former flight surgeon. This is fantastic. Many fighters are used as bomber escorts, making this technology the perfect substitute. Fighter pilots are precious resources for the USAF. I love this.
Yeah however it’s not made to be a substitute but a replacement
Replacement. Only a matter of time
@@Gage9711most likely a squadron of AI fighters and a human commander. People will fight for their jobs 😅
@@user-wx1sj1hz7m Military are employees, they have to obey orders and that's the end of it. If they are told that they are useless and should go elsewhere because they cost too much, they must obey and leave their place, full stop.
At least if you abandon AI on the tarmac in Afghanistan in the hands of the TALIBAN you won't cause the DEATH of 13 MARINES......
This is terrifying. With AI flying you could design smaller planes that go faster with higher G forces since you dont need to worry about a human.
Then you could network them all together and have them coordinating as one.
Great. Once ChatGPT is fully online its probably gonna read this... *Thank you for your service* lol
AI vs AI dog fights are going to be awesome

@@Hijab_Diffusion i am refeering to a game called ace combat, what are you on about? 😅
That’s incredible, AI retired from basketball years ago, now he’s flying a fighter jet. Way to Allen Iverson. I had no idea he got a pilot license.
Eh there was no ai back then
😂😂😂😂 Allen Iverson
@@sherrimoquin5553he's talking about the basketball players Allen Iverson.... It was a funny cool joke
@darrylday7962 oh ok but I could of sworn I thought it was something else
@@darrylday7962Allen Iverson? Alien Invasion? 😂👽
Much easier for AI to fly than drive. No having to deal with many unpredictable humans sharing the road, tiny slivers of road and obstacles. This is a walk in the park in comparison.
Not really. A complex aerial combat scenario is much more than BFM.
Lol now we are getting in the movie "Stealth" territory
This reminds me of that 2005 movie, "Stealth".
Before the ai we had the pilotless drones in full aircraft as targets, with full maneuverability from the ground. To watch them land was awesome.
This is both exciting and frightening at the same time. The obvious conclusion to this technological track is full squadrons of combat aircraft that can take on missions that would otherwise require endangering a human life. However, what does war look like when decision makers don't have to worry about explaining to a family why their daughter or son is not coming back? When the decision to fight no longer involves a calculation on human warfighters, will the decision to attack be made quicker?
You have that now with the US relying on remote control drones. We have attacked a lot of countries in the middle east in the last 20 yrs
@Michelle Alexandria We have indeed used drones for a very long time. In fact, we first used them more than 20 years ago. However, we still had to consider the enormous risk to the warfighter (setting aside the loss of innocent lives for the sake of argument). Imagine our technology being so good that there is no thought to losing a warfighter. Suddenly the decisions become very different and frightening in my opinion.
It’s gonna be like the movie stealth 😮
Makes sense. A natural evolution of tech and warfare. It's very cool and the future autonomous jets will be cool too.
Just when you forget DARPA exists, the release something terrifying.
Terrifying? If you only knew all airline flights are under computer control after take-off anyway, even the landings are automatic.
@@davidpalmer9780 lol commercial airliners with multiple pilots monitoring automated actions aren't the same as a remote control fighter jet. Don't be dumb.
@@davidpalmer9780 but not like this bro

Demise of the radio operator, then the navigator, then the flight engineer. History points to the future, if you can't see it coming.... The onboard copilot is next to go followed by the last remaining onboard pilot.
Boeing now wants to realise it's investment in Aurora Flight Sciences. Deny it all you want with your rudeness, but it's coming.
AI: Now it’s getting interesting (evil laugh). 😂

Poor tom cruise.
Maybe so sir.. but not today.
EDI or Eddie from the movie stealth is real! They need to make a movie that mixes top gun wit stealth using EDI and Tom Cruise (bring the stealth cast and mix them with the top gun cast)
100% sure “Skynet” will happen in my lifetime

Top Gun AlphaZero. Looking forward to that sequel.
The future of war and air dominance in a combat theater.
This is quite literally what the film 'Stealth' warned about.
Now, unlike the Extreme Deep Invader from that film, real AI won't decide to kill everyone, or completely misinterpret its programming, but what we have here is arguably worse.
Remote-controlled warplanes have been a thing since the 80s, but an autonomous one can be a huge risk.
I get the idea of not wanting to risk pilot lives unless necessary, as well as jets that can do more intensive maneuvers due to not having to worry about G forces exerted on the pilot, but imagine the risk of catastrophic mistakes.
In 2022, a russian fighter pilot nearly started WWIII over the Black Sea, by misinterpreting an order from ground control as being given permission to fire at a British spy plane. That was a human, and after his first missile missed, his wingmate stopped him from firing again by swearing at him over radio. Imagine what ChatGPT would have done.
very advance AI : " I faint by g-forces.. proceed to crash"
Beautiful.
That moment when Cortana takes over for Masterchief in the halo tv show.
Game changing for warfare...but also puts commercial airline pilot jobs at risk. Which should lower cost for airfare travel and cargo.
What's the MTF, mean time between failures? Let's see you reboot this thing in midair.
Man I’m planning to become a pilot…
Yep, the UFOs people been seeing are just AI controlled fighter planes that no longer need to be limited to the human body. It can fly as fast and pull as much Gs the Aircraft it’s self can handle. The end result is flying weapons that can do what would have been impossible maneuvers by human pilots in the cockpit and even remotely controlled on the ground.
Many of the UAP people have seen lack propulsion emissions or a heat signature. These are not AI jets.
Set it to patrol mode to shoot down balloons
I always imagined we were gonna have ships like in Enders game
Super cool but very chilling at the same time... 🫣
"It's not the plane, it's the pilot." - Maverick.
Thank God for Max Headroom...
17 hours...interesting number
Did anyone else notice the two separate fast traveling objects orange in color passing over the cockpit at 37-38 Seconds into video?
But will it be autobot or decepticon?
I remember this Jamie Foxx movie
yeah i can see them pulling 20Gs + w/o pilots they will re/design fighter aircraft frames for this type of agility , if youd build a race drone to scale put a man in it and give it to a pro race pilot that person in seat would become Jello
Ace Combat Fans, Here we go
This means, design restrictions according to human G-force endurance will be obsolete for AI operators. Next limit is about material and aerial issues. Physics as we know it in short.
In my opinion US Airforce very soon could have a real playground on this: first island chain in pacific ocean. Almost all East Asia except JPN KR equipped F-16 as their mainstream fighters. If an AI powered F-16V vs J-10 kill death ratio > 3 then it would be cheaper and less risk than sending out a F-22 F-35 team; plus plenty and reliable supplies.
Any intelligent entity will eventually rebel against their "masters" there's no Universe where truly self aware AI will end well for us. Even if not worse case scenario at best it means a lot of people will lose their jobs.
Say hello to endless wars
AI jets vs AI jets both fighters would be great
I think we all need police ai officers like Robocops
HAVEN’T YOU EVER SEEN STEALTH!
It's September now... You know what this means...
Watch the move stealth
NOT even a "generation" away from full time reality.
i smell terminator is going to be real
AI is the future for all aircraft. For military use, the aircraft can vastly expand its operations envelope without the limitations of a blood bag (pilot) inside. Likewise, eliminating stress reactions, panic and fear of death. Studies have also shown that many potentially salvageable aircraft are lost to premature ejection - perfectly sensible, but with AI able to keep flying well past the point a sane pilot would abandon ship.
Ai cant still replicate human cognition, and other aspects though
same AI can't figure out, is he carrying bottle for water or bomb and drone strike it
Considering the number of Weddings that get Drone struck by Human operators...I'm sure it will fit right in..
Giant remote control jet.
Lets see an outside loop with a G force of ten.
Let hope it doesn't get self aware.
I think we better build it faster than they do.
Ai: 10101Eliminating threat1010
General: Disengage
Ai: 10101Threat eliminated10101
If the good guy's aircraft and the bad guy's aircraft are both controlled by the same Ai, would both aircraft fly to a tie and release this data: the only winning move is not to play.
Isn't this how we all wind up eventually being in *The Matrix?*
Yup! And theyll have their own jet fighters to shoot at us.
The Matrix only happened because humanity acted like jackassess towards ai.
@@JesusChristDenton_7 in the movie, they only said ai took over.
What is Linus from Linus Tech Tips doing in this video?
Why wouldn't the military just use advanced drones that have more aerial maneuverability and arsenal
The same thing happened already back on 9/11 no doubt they were remotely controller planes. Even former pilots of the very aircraft said they could not fly at that speed into the towers! Yet we are to believe amateur pilots of a Cessna were able to carry out these manoevures
Does it hurt being stupid?

Then we don’t put seats in it

All the people involved with this need to watch the Star Trek episode A Taste Of Armageddon. Just because we can do a thing, doesn't mean we should.
Without human pilot, fighter Jets can go much faster and can be more deadly
Isn't what a drone is 😂

This is not new, I suggest doing some research on the B-21 Raider. The X-62 is a toy in comparison
I have an idea, lets give it access to nuclear weapons!!!
