I agree with Gena... The blue that bled does look like it's part of the horse. It's nice that with the shape of the shell the illusion makes the horse look bigger. Really like how the "sea horse" turned out. Puffy hearts are always nice!

I agree. Seems odd. Some would stick with a theme. Maybe a sea theme or what a turtle may eat etc. different people have different thought processes I suppose. Turned out very pretty though.

cute idea! i use stickers in lots of my resin peices. hint for you-- temu has a razor pen. its a fine tip that you can use to get in tight on the stickers. it helps so so much!

We all do it. I think it's really important to remember that silicone can only resist about 500 degrees and those little torches get to be well over 1000. Couple that with the depth of the mold and it creates thermal runaway.

I use an exacto knife to do fine cutting detail. They are a real life saver when you need to do precise cutting.

Try cutting out the centre of the template so you can more easily frame the picture exactly as you want. You can draw a fine faint cutting line on the picture.

I still feel that filling the head and tail separately with UV and curing each one with the mould tilted would allow all the flesh to be the same effect as a better contrast to the shell?

Hint for the future... You could use the bit you trimmed OFF your shape to help frame the picture, then you can see exactly what you are keeping, no need for your light.
If you take a few minutes to match up all your eyes, you can use a bit of tape to line them all up in pairs. You could put all the round pupils on one strip, the cat eyes on another, etc.
Shouldn’t we be working on a mirror so we can see what’s going on without moving the molds? It just came to me!!

Is those stickers are transfer one or you wet the back and the picture slides off. If they are could you not put it in that way which you could cure the resin, put sticker in then add the rest of resin.
