I sold my SF V4. Test rode 1390 twice. The torque is fantastic, wheelies on the throttle at 140!! Came very close to buying an evo but regretted selling the v4 and now have a V4S with the akro and tune. SF I feel needs body forward to get it turning comfortably vs the ktm. Prob due to sports bike dna vs naked design from the outset. Have a MR comp coming shortly so will see how it goes. And props on the vids-no one can accuse you of bias when its your $$ in the bikes.

I've had my Streetfighter V4S for exactly 3 years and I still absolutely love it, in fact it's going into the dealership tomorrow to get a full ti Akrapovic exhaust installed and some other bling. I originally looked at the Superduke 1290 R but it was too tall dor me, as I couldn't completely flat foot on it. The KTM just looks physically larger than the Ducati to me, but perhaps it's an optical illusion.

Streetfighter is a good thing, ktm is taller but feels smaller and lighter to ride to me…

Rip, I mean I could tell it would end this way from the beginning. I'm also the same way, hard to keep a bike for more than a year or two. Enjoy stockish for a season , then modify more over winter, then enjoy for another season or two.

The superduke is brilliant, I just can’t get over the looks of it. Also the build quality in comparison to Ducati is mehhhh 🫤
For your channel, changing bikes often is probably a wise move.
Would love to see you on a super sport, even just for review.

@@xodas. I’ll be watching! Love the channel 👍
Sports are probably stupid nowadays with the power output of the top litre nakeds. They push out the same/similar power. It’s nuts 😂
The only reason I’m considering the Panigale v4 over the SFV4 is the look of the thing. Nothing else, just looks. So confused , first world problems.
On demo rides they’re both comfortable to me. 20 mins isn’t enough 🤦‍♂️
Are you comfortable with sports ergos?
I’ll only be weekending on whatever I get, the odd Europe trip. I live in cold 🥶 Ireland so heat isn’t an issue either. Also, I live rurally , won’t be sitting in traffic.

  • @markholmes5695

    Definitely surprised!
Although I’ve friends the same, serial bike changers. With some, it went that way with women too 😂
I agree, low down torque is awesome especially if majority of your ride is in a town situation. For me living rurally, the best platform I’ve demoed (granted I haven’t lived with one ) is the V4 setup. Seems best of both worlds, torque of v2 with high end HP of I4s. I don’t think it’s possible to have a perfect bike. You’re in a lucky position you can have a few bikes . Relish that!
I honestly believe that once electric bikes sort out solid state quick charging batteries then they’ll be king, immediate low down torque that’ll likely need to be controlled cause it’s FAR TOO MUCH with the insane high end to boot. Electric motors are awesome… it’s the lack of juice/range is the problem.

Wow you have just given me a glimpse into the future- I actually think I found the perfect bike btw, until you mentioned that- more to come…

@@xodas. I love the duke. Just not the build quality re looks and issues. Have two mates with KTM, one sDR one adventure… both with electronic issues, one with clutch issues, one with overheating issues. KTM will cover under warranty but take an age.. ruins the experience. Every bike manufacturer can have issues so 🤷‍♂️ what to think.
I’ll defo be going down the electric route once range/batteries are sorted. I’d miss the sound, however!

From 15+ years of changing bikes, I'm yet to find the perfect bike. I'm also coming to terms with there's no such thing as a perfect bike :) - there certainly is a very good bike out there for you depending your point-in-time life circumstances

I'm loving your quest to find the perfect bike mate. But I'm sorry to say you're on a hiding to nothing. It's like trying to find a mystical utopia. Always only an arms length away, but never reachable. You will spend countless hours thinking about it and spend countless dollars trying to achieve it. But it's a trap. I should know. After 30 years of riding, I have been through it. Regardless, it's fun watching you try! Keep bringing the great content, brother!

I know what my perfect bike would be, but nobody makes a spicy traditional sports tourer. Super duke gt is probably the closest to it. Not a fan of the upright part of my pikes peak, h2sxse is too heavy and not that agile supposedly, XR is also upright.

I sold my Streetfighter V4S after ridden 14,000 miles... great bike.
Never clicked with it in the mountains which is where I ride mostly.
I bought a 1390 SuperDuke on 4/20 and have 3,450 miles on it.
I LOVE the 1390. It's a true refined beastly torquey sharp machine. It's miles ahead of the Ducati IMO.
    Get one.

    hi Bud,
    I agree
I sold my streetfighter as well, I really didn't like the way it handled the front end felt like it wanted to wash out I tried everything , suspension guru's different tyre pressures nothing worded
But I Love My BMW m 1000r as well way better, I think the BM is better than my 1390 as well, quick shifter on the KTM doesn't come close to the BM's and I really think the BM handles a bit better as well,
that's my personal honest opinion but I still love my KTM don't get me wrong but the BM is just a level up
it will be interesting to see what you think
