Imagine walking into the champions room at the end of a new pokemon game and the arena changes to match their theme; the walls, floor and even the roof having those old theme effects the old games had; to give the feeling again that you're fighting in space, a forest or even in the depth of volcano.
@@WakoDoodle they actually had that for the Elite 4 members in XY, in each room, it would play a cutscene with something happening, for water dude, a huge blast of water would start and it would rain and fill the place around, in fire, arena would get encircled by flames and so on, also done in BW1-BW2, tradition of doing that pretty much died at gen 8
It feels like an ending theme. You've defeated Team Plasma, saving Unova from being frozen and given Hugh's sister back her Pokemon. Now let's celebrate with a champion fight!

Generation 5 has some of the BEST music in the entire franchise in my opinion!! You should listen to more songs from Black and White/ BW2 whenever you have time, they're all incredibly well composed.

Recently replayed this game and had an insane sequence at the end. my Lucario lived a flamethrower on 10 HP and killed half her team before finally going down. God I love pokemon

Iris theme is the weirdest thing because, quite frankly, it sounds like shit. No, look, I absolutely understand why people would like it- because the moment people remaster this into something that isn't a trainwreck of bad soundfont selections, the actual composition is _amazing._ This song is amazing. There are so many pieces in Gen 5 that sound so good on its soundfont, and goddammit it's tragic this one ain't it.

It doesn't feel like a champion's theme in the intimidating sense but it defiantly feels like a champion theme in the sense that it's a BANGER SONG
