I watched this video this morning, then went to 1 used bookstore (where I didn't find anything I wanted to really take home with me after having just made a significantly large purchase at an online retailer)and a random little neighborhood thrift store to see what they had (a decent amount of books, about 8-9 full size shelves?). I was pleasantly surprised to find Blackmoore! I was super excited to be able to pick up a book the same day I first heard about it, and for less than $1! I will forever shop at thrift stores for my books, you just never know what you might find (plus, I love the appeal of going to Barnes & Noble and buying a bunch of new books, but the prices are a bit steep to be buying everything that looks good).
Congratulations! That sounds awesome! Blackmoore sounds really interesting. I read the Heroes of Olympus series and it was taken over my soul, I LOVED it! The humor the characters the mythology, it was incredible. ^^
Blackmoore has been added to my TBR, thankyouverymuch. My favorite of the month was Carry On. Also, can't wait to dive into some Cinda Williams Chima. Would you recommend starting with the Heir Chronicles or the 7 Realms series?
Honestly, the Notorious RBG was my favorite read this past month. Her life is inspiring, and reading about her civil rights cases in the 60s was really interesting. Also, the cover of that yoga book is sweeeettt.
My favourite read of the month was Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks, I love historical fiction novels and this is set during the First World War in the trenches (but the story is so much more than that) and it was so beautiful and harrowing - two things I love in a book haha! :)
Hi Regan! I read two books this month, The Royal We, and The Secret History (by Donna Tartt). Very different books, although both about upper class society and college. The Royal We was a bit more chick lit like than I was used to, but I just flew through it since I love anything Royal and anything thinly veiled as a fanfic on real life :) The Secret History was a bit different. It's really a study of characters, and it was written beautifully. As always, I'm neither a polarised love it or hate it person, but rather an in betweener, a good read but not necessarily a re-read.
i read 4 books this month, but lady midnight by cassandra claire was the best one also i read my first manga, called stargazing dog and I LOVED IT SO MUCH
There have been 3 5 star reads for me this month. The first one was 'The Duke and I' by Julia Quinn, such a cute and humorous book. It's a Regency Romance book and I loved every second of it. The second one was 'Written in Red' by Anne Bishop. It was so amazing, I can't wait to get my hands on the next 3 books in the series that are currently out. Lastly I read Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep. It's a Mythology series, and I loved it. I'm a sucker for the Mythology genre, and I enjoy Jennifer Estep's writing.
My favorite book that I read this month was The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury. It was an Aladdin retelling, told from the POV of the Jinni, who was a girl named Zahra. And it was so good, Zahra was such a great character! I bought Flamecaster this month though and I am so anticipating it. I've been seeing a lot of negative reviews of it, so the fact that you liked it so much gives me hope. I would love if you did a full length review of Flamecaster!
Oh, Regan I remember you saying in your Bookish Facts how you can't see yourself as a published author and this project is happening! HOW VERY EXCITING!!!!!
I read Heir of Fire, A Book of Spirits & Thieves and The Lies of Locke Lamora were the books I loved the most this month however I read a total of 9 books
I just finished Angelfall by Susan Ee and I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed it! I read it because I watched a video where you talked about it (I think it was your guilty pleasure reads) and I couldn't resist!
I have two books this month that I absolutely LOVED! The first is absolutely no surprise to me, seeing as I loved all the books in the series so far inmensely: Harry Potter and the Half-blood prince. SO GOOD! Cried my eyes out. 5/5 stars obviously. The second was a bit more of a surprise for me, seeing as I don't normally love Contemporary/Romance. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon was such an surprisingly, awesome read! Best contemporary I've read this year by far! Loved it, 5/5 stars
I am currently reading city of bones for the first time and I've just finished the infernal devices. Sasha Alsberg inspired me to read them and I'm so glad because these books are just amazing 😍😅
I just finished reading the first Harry Potter today!! Harry Potter makes me really happy too!! The soundtrack to the movies is amazing!! I'm addicted to listening to them while I do homework!
I'm only half way through the video but has anyone counted how many times Regan says, "ultimately" in this video? LOL word of the day! Congrats on the anthology Regan! So pumped and can't wait XD
I would read the Seven Realms first, there are references and things that happen that you may not 100% understand if you haven't read the original series. Honestly though it's amazing series and you'll just fly through them.
So I watched this video to get a better view of your perspective on Flamecaster. I just finished the Crimson Crown and after reading the synopsis for Flamecaster I was a bit scared to continue. I'm still a bit hesitant, but I think I'll just read another book before diving into this world again and give a bit of distance between the two books.
the book i loved the most that I read this month and YEAR is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I'm reading HP for the first time and I'm reading one book/month so that I can enjoy the story more
I'm excited that Cinda Williams Chima is still writing books. I'm only just now reading the Heir Chronicles series, so I've got lots of reading ahead of me from her, yet ^_^
I read a YA romance novel called All These Things I've Done by Gabrielle Zevin. I loved it. I also read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and that was another nice book.
The book I enjoyed the most to read in April was ''1984'' by Orwell ^_^ I can't wait to read ''A tale of two cities'', so I can read your recommendation after! :D
I just finished Curse of the Sphinx by Raye Wagner. I loved it. When it ended I was like what that's the end? That can't be the end. I really need the sequel.
Solution to the not knowing what to do after re-reading Harry Potter....start again from the beginning! Honestly Regan I have lost count how many times I have re-read Harry Potter continuously this past year and a half...(especially with the audiobooks-it's so easy to just finish Deathly Hallows and be like 'I have no idea what to listen to next...meh, I'll listen to Philosopher's Stone again'...then 7 books later and I'm back at the same problem...)
I'm fairly new to the booktube community and I'm loving your videos. You're definitely one of my faves! I love your recommendations & started "Vicious" by V.E. Schwab today based largely on your videos. :)
Oh Harry Potter. I could reread it so many times, it's just so good! Into the Dim is something I've been wanting to read, so going to have to check that one out. I have also never read anything by Cinda Williams Chima, so I might have to fix that.
I read The Warrior Heir by CWC, but I really didn't enjoy it. It was very slow paced and the characters were very flat to me. So right now I'm kind of afraid to pick up the Seven Realms series. Do you think I should be afraid or is it way better? Loved the video btw :D
The warrior heir does take a long time to get started but the seven realms series is much more fast paced, though there is a lot of world building in the first book that leads to the action in the second.
+Sabine's Book Nook I actually just started The Heir Chronicles last month, myself. I've only read the Warrior Heir and the Wizard Heir of her books, so far, so I can't really speak for the Seven Realms series, but I will say that the Wizard Heir grabbed me a lot more than the Warrior Heir, especially in the first half of the book. I didn't really have much issue with the characters in either of the books (aside from the fact they didn't seem to ask nearly enough questions); my issue was more the sloppy writing, but I had to give her a bit of a pass since it was her debut.
The heir series definitely isn't as good as the seven realms series. The seven realms series was and still is amazing. The first book is a bit of a grind, but it gets great by the last third, and every book from there is amazing. (The gray wolf throne is a bit of a grind for the first 50 pages, was great after)
Do you already know which author you are paired up with? Also I read "this house is haunted" by John Boyne this month which was really amazing and enjoyed a lot!
I'm currently reading Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige and I'm really enjoying it but half way the book I've suddenly gotten into a reading slump and its really annoying.
You read Harry Potter a 3rd time! :D I've only read brought the series once but I am hoping to do that soon, since I have been collecting them. I'm going to try to read it in Spanish this summer for the first time ( to challenge myself!)
THE ANTHOLOGY EEEEP IM SO EXCITED
I am so excited about this and everyone's announcement videos are getting me even more excited!! Also into the dim sounds really cool!!
So happy to have you girlie!! ❤️😈❤️😈❤️😈
The anthology sounds amazing! I love that it centers around villains! I can't wait for it to come out!
The Raven King was my favorite book of them month, I'm still crying, still in withdrawals, still in love with Maggie Stiefvater's world *sobs*
Love the anthology concept! Can't wait to hear more as the project progresses! ☺️
I watched this video this morning, then went to 1 used bookstore (where I didn't find anything I wanted to really take home with me after having just made a significantly large purchase at an online retailer)and a random little neighborhood thrift store to see what they had (a decent amount of books, about 8-9 full size shelves?). I read City of Heavenly Fire (and Tales from Shadowhunter Academy) AND I LOVED THEM BOTH SO MUCH OMFG
omg me too. after ive reread the first five books, i read CoHF and then Tales from Shadowhunter academy. i remember crying happy tears 😭
FLAMECASTER DESTROYED MY LIFE. Seriously, I was sobbing after the first two chapters... Why you gotta be so good Chima?!?
Ooo this anthology sounds so exciting! I can't wait!!
Ahhh yes! The book tuber influence on new books sounds amazing :D
I read Cinder! I can't believed I waited so long! Can't wait to pick up the rest of the series!
It's so amazing right??
Congratulations! That sounds awesome! Blackmoore sounds really interesting. I read the Heroes of Olympus series and it was taken over my soul, I LOVED it! The humor the characters the mythology, it was incredible. ^^

Yes, I like something with a spiritual journey. It does have a nice cover. Blackmore sounds interesting too. I like an easy read.
My favourite read of the month was Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks, I love historical fiction novels and this is set during the First World War in the trenches (but the story is so much more than that) and it was so beautiful and harrowing - two things I love in a book haha! :)
I so agree, Cinda Williams Chima killed my soul in the first twenty pages of flamecaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!
READ OUTLANDER READ OUTLANDER READ OUTLANDER
I just finished Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I really liked that book! Now I'm on to Scarlet.

Hi Regan! I read two books this month, The Royal We, and The Secret History (by Donna Tartt). Very different books, although both about upper class society and college. But I have to say: I'm in LOVE with the color of your nail polish! REALLY!
I have two books this month that I absolutely LOVED! The first is absolutely no surprise to me, seeing as I loved all the books in the series so far inmensely: Harry Potter and the Half-blood prince. SO GOOD! Cried my eyes out. 5/5 stars obviously.

I read Clockwork Prince this month so I'm currently trying to stitch back together the fragments left of my heart after completing it...
I am currently reading city of bones for the first time and I've just finished the infernal devices. Sasha Alsberg inspired me to read them and I'm so glad because these books are just amazing 😍😅
Blackmoore is one of my all time favorite books!!! Edenbrooke is also by the same author and it is great as well!!
I just finished reading the first Harry Potter today!! Harry Potter makes me really happy too!! The soundtrack to the movies is amazing!! I'm addicted to listening to them while I do homework!
My favorite book of the month was Lady midnight! Loved it so much and it broke my heart too
I'm only half way through the video but has anyone counted how many times Regan says, "ultimately" in this video? LOL word of the day! Congrats on the anthology Regan! So pumped and can't wait XD
I haven't read The 7 Realms, and really hadn't planned on it (5 books!), but will this really mess me up for FlameCaster? I'm eager to read this one.
I would read the Seven Realms first, there are references and things that happen that you may not 100% understand if you haven't read the original series. Honestly though it's amazing series and you'll just fly through them.
Also it's only 4 books, The Demon King, The Exiled Queen, The Grey Wolf Throne and The Crimson Crown
+Catagello Thank you so much for your input! I really appreciate it.
Something that happens in the beginning of the book will ruin The Seven Realms for you, so I highly suggest you start with Seven Realms.
I'll Give You The Sun was my favorite this month.
Whooo I'm so excited for you!!
Into The Dim sounds really cool! I love time traveling so it's definitely going on my tbr 😇
So I watched this video to get a better view of your perspective on Flamecaster. I just finished the Crimson Crown and after reading the synopsis for Flamecaster I was a bit scared to continue. I'm still a bit hesitant, but I think I'll just read another book before diving into this world again and give a bit of distance between the two books.
i am currently reading Winter by marrisa meyer its so good i love the series so much!!
I'm so excited for this! specially because I believe we have the same opinions about Villains so I'm excited for it!
I read the entire twilight series this month and loved it. I went in doubting I would like them and became addicted 😂
New to the channel. Enjoying it! I just read "The Fault in Our Stars" this week! It was the highlight of my spring break to be sure.

I love Blackmoore!! I read it in a day. So good.
Really like the idea of Into the Dim and will be getting it. Blackmoore sounds really good as well.

glad to hear you liked The Yoga of Max's Discontent, it seems like a really good read I wanna pick up!
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! First time reading Harry Potter and I just finished the 6th one yesterday. I cried. Then cried some more.

My favorite read of the month would have to be Me Before You by JoJo Moyes
The book I enjoyed the most to read in April was ''1984'' by Orwell ^_^
I can't wait to read ''A tale of two cities'', so I can read your recommendation after! :D
I just finished Curse of the Sphinx by Raye Wagner. I loved it. When it ended I was like what that's the end? That can't be the end. I really need the sequel.

THE RAVEN KING I READ AND LOVED THE RAVEN KING

I want to read Into the Dim so badly.
Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe did it for me this month....was finally able to read it and I did so in 1 day!
I love Aristotle and Dante! It's one of my favourite books of all time
I read The Warrior Heir by CWC, but I really didn't enjoy it.
+Lauren Elberfeld thanks! I just don't want to give up on CWC because I hear so many great things about her books 😁😊

Hi! Congrats!
The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness, love this series! It's a history nerd's dream!😍
You HAVE to read Julian Donaldson's first book Edenbrooke. It is even better than Blackmoore. So incredible!!
Where did you buy Blackmoore from? It sounds right up my alley but the major bookseller in Canada (Indigo) doesn't seem to have it :(
Do you already know which author you are paired up with?
Also I read "this house is haunted" by John Boyne this month which was really amazing and enjoyed a lot!
I'm currently reading Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige and I'm really enjoying it but half way the book I've suddenly gotten into a reading slump and its really annoying.
My favorite book I read this month was definitely The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
I read that and loved it! It was a very 'Criminal Minds' - esque story, but written for teens, which I thought was really cool :D
You read Harry Potter a 3rd time! :D
I've only read brought the series once but I am hoping to do that soon, since I have been collecting them.
I'm going to try to read it in Spanish this summer for the first time ( to challenge myself!)
interesting reads! more books for me to want :)
Are you going to BEA/Bookcon? I need to meet you!
i didn't finish any books, beside the first volume of the One Punch Man manga. i've been in a horrid reading slump, and i have no idea how to get out.
I would like to know when are you jumping into the Outlander world? C'mon Regan!
Is The Heir Chronicles and the Seven Realms series connected? Should i read the books in any specific order?
