Shadow of the Wind is book 1. The Angel's Game is book 2 but chronically the first in terms of storyline and acts like a prequel to book 1. The Prisoner of Heaven is book 3 and a direct sequel to book 1. I recommend reading them in the order they were published because there are certain things in book 2 that are mentioned or referenced in book 1, and it's pretty great how Zafón ties it all together.
Bwah. Finding your channel last week has led to binge watching all your videos, a stack of notes by my desk about books I want to read, two books bought and three more in the order list, a haircut not very similar but definitely inspired by yours, about 50 reviews read, a huge interest in new books, drooling from excitement over awesome stories and a week of NOT studying for my five exams in May. Hehe. Love it :)
I was halfway done with Harry August but I had to put it down cause it was going at a really slow pace. Can I ask your opinion on the second half of the book? Because I will continue it but I like to hear someone else thoughts first
Just to warn you (since I didn't see anyone else comment it!) "The Angel's Game" is the second book to Carlos Ruiz Zafon's series - the one you got is the third!:)
Flamecaster was soo good and it did not disappoint for fans like me of the first books!! And Brandon Mull is for sure my favorite middle grade author I own all of his books and love them all their all really fun reads!!
I was one of the people who mentioned the missing book and I realized I am also missing my copy! there was a leak in our old apt and unfortunelty a lot of books were ruined :( glad you got a replacement!!
The Windup Girl is very good. It is interesting how Bacigalupi balances a great story with serious questions about what we are doing to the environment. Also, Hock Seng is a seriously great character.
OH MY GOD, I have noticed that you didn't have Deathly Hallows in your background, it really bothered me so much that it was missing!! But I am soooo glad that you have it now, and now it won't bother me anymore now that you have it! 😃😃
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SEEING THAT YOU LIKE CARLOS RUIZ ZAFON'S BOOKS BECAUSE IT JUST SHOWS A LITTLE BIT OF SPAIN IN YOUR BOOKSHELF AND SPAIN LOVEEEEES YOU❤️❤️
wow I'm early. I really need to read the winners trilogy I keep hearing amazing things about it. And omg the book with the main character called hope sounds sooo cool. I'm just 2 minutes in the video and I already added two books to my tbr xD
Thanks for the recommendation for The Shadow of the Wind! Because I saw it on your channel I picked it for my book club this month. I, along with everyone else, really enjoyed it! Also, Fablehaven is one of my all time favorite series!!!
I loveeeee the shadow of the wind. I've read the prisoner of heaven and the Angels game as well. They don't really have to be read in order. They are related, but could also be stand alone novels as well.
I am very happy that Hogwarts is whole again! When I first started my home library, the first books to go on my shelves were my HP books. When my daughters saw them, my oldest daughter quickly yelled, "I get those Harry Potter books when Mom dies! I'm the oldest!! " hahaha... Can you believe that?? I wasn't the least surprised because I raised my children to know what is REALLY important... BOOKS!! Lol.. You have some great reads here.. I love watching haul videos. Thanks for sharing your treasures with us! ☺️📚
I got All The Light We Cannot see and Girl on the Train this month, they were both soo amazing, especially the writing and beautiful timeline of ATLWCS and the fantastic thriller of The Girl on the train, I totally recommend them if any of you haven't read it!
I definitely want to read The Wolf Rider book. Thanks for the recommendation. It made me think of Tell The Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt. Not that they are anything alike but for having wolf in the title and it's for young adults.
I just got The Wolf Wilder from BookOutlet two weeks ago, also because of the cover and because I love wolves. Currently reading and enjoying it, hope you get around to it soon!
The order in which Carlos Ruiz Zafon published them is: Shadow of The Wind, Angel's Game, Prisoner of Heaven. I do recommend you read them in that order :)
The Sudden Appearance of Hope sounds utterly fantastic ( well what could we expect ? It's Claire North :P )....Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it :)
OMG I got loads of books this month. For my birthday I got The young elites. Cinder. Queen of shadows. A murder most unladylike. Arsonic for tea and jolly foul play (Same series) ACOTAR. The infernal devices. When we collided. The tales of beedle the bard & fantastic beasts and where to find them. Flawed and my signed copy of Lady midnight. I realize I bought a lot of books but I don't care coz reading makes me happy
Prisoner of Heaven is book 3 and book 2 is called The Angel's Game. Though I have not read any of them yet to know if you need to read them in any certain order but thats the order GoodReads has them in.
I've read the Shadow of the Wind series (can't wait for the fourth book which I think is going to be a thing) and the Prisoner of Heaven is set after the events of SOTW and I loved it!!
Got hold of My Brilliant Friend and Virgin Suicides! Happy girl here 🤗 Will read them after The Narrow Road to the Deep North. Have fun reading 🤘🏼 btw, I laughed when you defended yourself that "the book was cheap, judge me all you want" hehehehe
I went and bought the Heir Chronicles because of how much you rave about it! Of course i bought all four instead of just buying and reading the first one and seeing if i like it … I'm trusting you!! :P :)
The 5th Wave was flipping amazing, but I was sooo disappointed with The Infinite Sea.. I hope you get to enjoy it though, maybe we'll have different opinions. 🙃
The Prisoner of Heaven is indeed a sequel to The Shadow of The Wind... I believe it picks up two years after the events of the first novel. However, it's the third book of the series (the second's title is Angel's Game) and I STRONGLY advise to read it before The prisoner of Heaven, because tha latter explains important stuff from Angel's Game and it's definitely the type of book you don't want to be spoilered for you.
I love Carlos Ruiz Zafon! Read the Angel's Game before the Prisoner of Heaven, because I would advise you to read them in publication order. I hope you enjoy!
If you liked the shadow of the wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafrón, you should really read some of his other books like Marina, the prince of the mist or the midnight palace. Honestly Marina is amazing and the prince of the mist is what got me into reading, i absolutely recommend them!
Okay, since you picked up one of my all time favorite books [The Prisoner of Heaven], lemme clear it up for you. This book is the third in the trilogy. True, the second book is more or less a prequel; however, it serves a good deal to clear some question marks before diving into the third book, which talks about Daniel's life after marriage. Enjoy!

The Carlos Ruiz Zafon's one is the third book of the trilogy and I believe it has content about the previous books, so be careful before you read the book 😅
Hi Reagan, I recently discovered your channel and I love it! I was wondering if you could do a video on your favorite childhood novels? My childhood was taken over Harry Potter, but do remember loving other authors like Mary Pope Osborne, Ann M. Martin, Beverly Cleary etc. What about you?
the sequel to shadow of the wind is the game of the angel (keep in mind that i have roughly translated it from greek) the one you have is the third book
Shadow of the Wind is book 1.
The Angel's Game is book 2 but chronically the first in terms of storyline and acts like a prequel to book 1.

I was halfway done with Harry August but I had to put it down cause it was going at a really slow pace. Can I ask your opinion on the second half of the book? Because I will continue it but I like to hear someone else thoughts first
Clare North. Done.
And you should probably read Angel's Game first before Prisoner of Heaven.
I've been wanting to re-read the HP series but I keep holding back because of the feels and the courage to read all 7 again lol
The Winner's Kiss was amazing. All the emotions. Listened to the entire series as audiobooks and it was one hell of a great experience.
FABLEHAVEN WAS MY CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND!!! It's such a wonderful series and the characters are amazing and I still think about those books daily 😍
Just to warn you (since I didn't see anyone else comment it!) "The Angel's Game" is the second book to Carlos Ruiz Zafon's series - the one you got is the third!:)
I've had City of Savages for the longest time and am super excited hear your thoughts!!!

The Wolf Wilder cover is beautiful!!
I've the Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima and I still haven't read it! But now I really want to read Flamecaster!!!
I can't wait to read Flamecaster too! I'm so happy to be going back into the Seven Realms world. I look forward to seeing your review on it.
the sudden appearance of hope sounds like a really good book :)
I loveeeee the shadow of the wind. I've read the prisoner of heaven and the Angels game as well. They don't really have to be read in order. They are related, but could also be stand alone novels as well.
You are so enthusiastic and have introduced me to many new authors and genres! I love your videos.

The Wolf Wilder was absolutely wonderful! :D

The order in which Carlos Ruiz Zafon published them is: Shadow of The Wind, Angel's Game, Prisoner of Heaven. I do recommend you read them in that order :)

I went and bought the Heir Chronicles because of how much you rave about it! Of course i bought all four instead of just buying and reading the first one and seeing if i like it … I'm trusting you!! :P :)
THE RAVEN KING TOMMOROW IS PROBABLY MY MOST ANTICIPATED BOOK OF THE YEAR OMG
If Philip Pullman says yes, then I say yes! I would argue with you on whether The Golden Compass is really a "children's" series though 😉
I was super pumped for The Flamecaster also! :D
This month I bought The Name of the wind because of you!! Also bought Tree and Leaf by J. R. R Tolkien
Oooh I want to read that Claire North book!
I have The Demon King out from the library right now and will be jumping into it quite soon. I've heard great things, so I'm pretty excited!

You can never buy too many Brandon Mull books. They're so good!

Yay!!! Loved this book haul! Now I have more books to add to my tbr list oh gosh..
I love Carlos Ruiz Zafon! Read the Angel's Game before the Prisoner of Heaven, because I would advise you to read them in publication order. I hope you enjoy!
Thinks for letting us know about the free book, went ahead and got it can't wait to pick it up when I can
it's an ebook. so you'll download it and not order it =)
i want all the books you have... 😛 even the thought is exciting😝😝😂😂
The prisoner of heaven does follow the storyline from the shadow of the wind but I really really REALLY recommend you read The Angel's Game first
If you liked the shadow of the wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafrón, you should really read some of his other books like Marina, the prince of the mist or the midnight palace. Honestly Marina is amazing and the prince of the mist is what got me into reading, i absolutely recommend them!
The Prisoner of Heaven has characters from The Shadow of the Wind and The Angels Game,so I would recommend reading the latter before this one :)
