I am currently in college for cosmetology and I was taught that you shouldn't completely close the foils when bleach. I was told you felt them open to let out any gases from the bleach. 😕
How ancient is your cosmetology instructor? You shouldn't make them air tight, of course, but it would be difficult TO do that. Folding over, loose rolls, scrunching... none of that is going to hurt.
