Why was the other one taken down? I heard it was violent, it was recommended for me but for some reason I was busy watching RUclips on the TV (which doesn't recommended me rain world and I can't chat in there) idk why yt thinks it violent, MEANWHILE LEECHES DRINK UR BLOOD IN RW TOO!- this is the first time i saw yt take down a video

The original one had a meme that showed mosquitos getting killed, if you wanna look it up it's called "Mosqit 👎🦟"
Kinda weird that barely anything eats them meanwhile in real life mosquitos are eaten by just about everything. Maybe change it so that the squidcadas, smol centis, and blue lizards eat them aswell and try to have them suck from a few other creatures. Having them be edible to scugs would be a bit... broken.
Maybe if they were found in areas with lots of water jetfish could eat them too, giving them a reason to jump out of the water and catch them! Could be a cool little interaction.
Mosquitos and especially mosquito larvae are very common staples in the food chain so nothing eating them would make no sense, also i wouldnt mind scugs being able to eat them for like 1/4th a food pip, maybe its unedible once it has blood in it?

It would make sense if all lizard types could swallow them whole like leviathans do, without having to return to dens for eating.

I feel like they shouldn’t sting Spearmaster (since they’re 99% synthetic) and instead the more full they are the more food they can provide to Spearmaster, so you can just grab them as Spearmaster and toss them at your enemies to get more food pips and weaken dangerous creatures
I am pretty sure they are a purposed organism, so nothing would stop the mosquitoes from eating them. The second part is a cool idea tho

I guess having them bite and weaken predators would make them too helpful to you... they could bite lizards and just not deal damage to them, though, with the reasoning being that bigger animals have more blood. I also think they should bite the rain deer but have no effect (we don't need rain deer to be even worse to control). And I agree with other comments that the mosquitoes should be prey for more animals, especially squidcadas and spiders. The reason you can't just eradicate mosquitoes in real life is because they're a huge part of the ecosystem, everything eats them.
Apparently we aren't allowed to talk about mosquitoes anymore. :/

I think they're going to be in shrouded assembly, i thought i saw them in its trailer way back during weather report.
I haven't seen the weather report so as to not spoil myself, so it's exciting to hear it will be part of a cool new region :)

It seems like if you eat a blood-filled mosquito, you can gain some of your stamina back! Eating regular food doesn't seem to help, but eating a bag of blood will ig xD

this was a tutorial mod for custom creatures with fisobs/critobs for a long while.
i just hope the dev got the permits for full release
I originally made them for a joke because someone went through every single mod post in the RW discord server and reacted a mosquito emoji on them all, so I thought it would be funny to make a mosquito because then the reaction would make sense. Later the creator of Fisobs wanted to use them for the example creature of Fisobs. That was quite a long time ago and that version of them has become out dated and also a custom region creator wanted to use them, so I've ported them to the new version and updated them some. I will be updating them again soon to apply a lot of the feed back I've got from the comments here.

They would work well in Reclaiming Entropy since the climate is warmer, maybe also Outer Expanse or Undergrowth
Leon V had replied that they could also work in the Mast's Marsh Flats subregion, and Lolight2 said Moss Fields could work.
Unrelated to mosquitoes, but I had a friend who got stung by a bee once, and her hand started swelling up . . .

Harming mosquitoes is no good in their eyes it seems, so that meme at the end of the video was the cause.
Personally I think it's pretty absurd of them to remove a video over that but what can I do right? :/

Usually that means you have some kind of conflicting mod, I would try disabling everything except this mod, and it's dependencies.
