Hi! Buzz I retired at 64 in May of this year, '24, renal cancer. Doing well, but single with no friends. Makes it tough but God has a plan. Enjoy seeing you, thanks!
@BuzzRetirementGarage Thanks! Buzz One kidney now, check up was good. Treatment caused other problems, dealing with those. Figure I have 5 to 10 years. Living my best life. God is good!
I appreciate you showing your budget with actual numbers! I'm thinking about retiring at the first of the year. I turn 65 in December. I'm worried if I have enough money or not. I am one of those that came late to the game of saving for retirement. I tried watching some other RUclips channels of folks who retired but they don't go into details about their budget enough for me to see if I can make it so I really appreciate that you do. I have also been watching 'Medicare school' on you tube. I was thinking about going through them to sign up for medicare. I don't know if it is better going through someone local or not!
If you're going for a plan N or G any insurance agency can handle it. Make sure to add the drug plan too. If you're going Advantage Plan be careful because not all agents are authorized for companies. You should have received a Medicare book in the mail. Check the back for Advantage plans in your area. You know what Marvin at Medicare school.com thinks! My wife and I both have plan N.

Positive attitude is the way to go! I get down occasionally, but I try hard to be grateful every minute for what I do have. Take care my friend.

I never had enough money when working. Retired in 2022. Doing okay. Just have no debts.
