Yes because before giving birth they give the pregnant lady Aciclovir and desinfect the area very well so it doesn't spread to the baby during the birth process or they opt for a ceasarian instead of natural to be safe
I think because they give the pregnant woman an antiviral medication to keep the virus dormant for a few weeks leading up to their delivery. And if she has an outbreak I think they do a c-section.

However, there are treatments which are targeted in dealing with the symptoms or "outbreaks" caused by the disease (for instance, treating the blisters). There is no way we can cure Herpes yet but there are things we can do to reduce its effect to us and our daily lives.

Not exactly, its HSV1 and HSV 2. But it seems oral sex has contributed to blur the difference between the 2 types of herpes viruses
