Where have you been? For some reason you just showed up on my list. I have been binge watching your episodes and you are sharing recipes people are paying gobs of money to have delivered in a weekly box. If people want to pay a small fortune for home delivered food kits, fine. But you can get a much better education by taking a few hours a month and investigating where your food is actually coming from and shopping at farmer's markets, etc. The amount of food you purchase for the same amount of money is awesome. Plus, you can vary your diet by sticking with seasonal foods. I am sharing this channel with my huge amount of family and friends.
Very nice video. Short and to the point. looks delicious. Unfortunately I just had heart surgery and deep frying stuff like that is a no no for me. Switched to an all plant based no dairy diet and lost 30 lbs. in no time. Love to watch you create things. I might make it and feed it to others.
This is the first time I've drooled a little watching a cook and eat. Love some fried green t'mateos in early summer and end of growing season when the vines are about done giving up ripe ones... yours seemed so perfectly coated.
When I fry green tomatoes, I only salt and pepper them and dip in cornmeal. That’s it. Also I slice the tomatoes very thin. I don’t like a thick green tomato.
Have never had one. Are they really under ripe tomatoes? I thought they must be something different, can’t imagine. You really make them look good though. I don’t think I’ve ever seen green tomatoes at my stores, but will look for them now. Thanks for this, you’ve got me intrigued.
Be careful cutting the tomatoes that way. Also, make sure to heat up that oil to at least 350F before putting in anything to fry. You get soggy oily stuff with low temp frying. You get crisp fried stuff with 350+F.
I am a 65 yr young woman born & raised in the South of Arcadia, Florida & I absolutely love, love, love "Fried Green Tomatoes" ❤❤❤🥰!!! I have never or seen heard of Your AWESOME Looking Sauce or Dip, but it looks like something that our Family would absolutely "LOVE" ❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰!!! I am going to have to try that soon! It looks & sounds way to good to me at almost 6am, lol🤣🤣🤣!!!
Do you ever make homemade pimento cheese? Aldi has a pretty good version but I haven't seen it in months. I'm in the Midwest so I'm sure there are more options in the South.
They are hard to find, I have tomatoes growing and a lot of green tomatoes that didn't turn red yet, just pick those, grow your own tomatoes from seed it is really easy to grow in a container if you don't have a garden.
I would love to grow my own my mom used to grow hers and we I see it so many tomatoes off for plants but I live in an apartment building and they don't allow it but I wish I could
Your always asking for people to chime in with dishes they want to learn to make so...meat/bean casseroles. Hubby won't eat the holy trinity or most vegetables and detests onions so I am dumbfounded. He loves sweet/savory (bbq) and basically eats meat, corn, potatoes and beans of any kind. We did find recently He will eat chickpeas and quinoa (rice ofc). Please help with such a picky eater who is currently on a health kick. 😭

You had me at pimento cheese! Can you show how to make it? And ham salad and chicken salad? All the salads! It would be nice to have them for summer.
Mom use to make fried green tomatoes for breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon and a mayonnaise sauce. Yum!

Normally, I don’t trust a petite cook. 😅
