- I complete the brake upgrade and slap on the front big brakes for my H22 swapped EG civic. i show you whats needed and how to put these bigger 282mm front discs on a 4 lug studs or 4x100 pcd hub. This is the best OEM big budget brake upgrade for a civic ef eg or ek.
The parts i used to finish this upgrade are as follows!
MG ZR 160 Brake Master Cylinder and Servo
Wezmoto Braided Brake Lines
MG ZR 160 front 282mm Discs
Prelude 2.2 VTI front Calipers
Prelude 2.2 VTI Hawk HP Plus front Pads

Let me know what you think in the comments!
Hi mate currently got the 260 brakes rn and want to get the 282. Do I need to change anything ? (Pads and discs need to match the 282 Ofc) was it a direct bolt on from the smaller ones ?
so the mg zr160 with 160hp or the mg zs180 master cylinders and servos are the same with the dc2?
Do you need the 242/262 hub for the upgrade?
I bought 282mm prelude calipers and carriers but dunno if its going to fit to mu stock ej2 😬
Can you say apart from the larger rotors, did you have to change any other parts to make the upgrade successful or did the rotor fit on the stock parts.
Everything fit except the rear caliper carriers, I had to elongate one of the mounting bolt holes. That's it. All bolt on 👌
Hi mate, What Kind brake disc? What car and year? Cheer
Isnt the integra rotors are also 4x100 with 282 mm diameter ?
Nah itr was 4x114.3 on 262 Or 5x114.3 on 282. The othe models were 4x100 262
excellent video. KNUCKLE are oem from 92-95?
They are the 262mm front knuckles for these brakes to work mate yeah 👍
@@Dan_AYP Thank you so much
@@736nv3 any time, hope to see you in the comments again soon
Do you need a shim behind the disc with this setup ? Ive seen elsewhere that it was needed
What wheel profile are you on mate? Looks good!
Wheels are 15x6.5 et35 👍
@@Dan_AYP thanks mate! I have subscribed! Awesome content you have!
This disk and caliper set up is a direct swap to the oem hub and arm? I'm building a EK G23 swap and looking for bigger with out been no cost front brakes.
Also what yr prelude and what yr mg zr160 if you don't mind?
@@MrB337yla any mg zr 160 or mg zs 180. And any year 2.2 prelude as they all use the same parts. And yeah it's just a bolt on except the rear caliper carrier, one bolt hole for mounting the carrier needs elongating slightly 👍
As long as it had 262mm fronts and 242mm rear discs to start with 👍
Thanx a whole bunch
@@Dan_AYP the front caliper brackets are 23t or 25t?
is this still 4x100? or its 4x114?
4x100 😁👍
Did you need to get biger rims?
Its so close
No mate the 282s were cleared by the tenzo r sinko wheels 👍 ill be trying the stock em1 wheels over them as well as a few other stock honda 15s 👍 stay tuned
282mm rotor? Or 280mm rotor?
Ermmm whatever the mgzr 160 / mgzs 180 o es are lol, but they work perfectly with the prelude 282mm compatible calipers 👍 as I know the prelude measures 282mm disc wise
@@Dan_AYP ok i just bolted up mine but used 11"(280mm) mini cooper rotors. I have read something about the mgzr rotors as well.
@@JoseContreras-mv5yz what did you read?
@@killawayneable idk bro,and i dont remember anymore. Car has been sold.
@@killawayneable mgzr is a european car make tho and i read that those rotors go on just like factory,no moving of the rotor. The hub is the exact size that it needs to be.
hi sir.. is your rim 15" in size..? i'm looking fwd to upgrade my brake disc on my 15" rims
Yes it is, the 282mm calipers from a dc2 integra type r fit under them as the biggest OEM brakes to my understanding but only if you retain the 4 stud hub 👍
@@Dan_AYP it fits also from accord 6gen the callipers but is Lucas not nissin
Why do people feel like they have to have cheesey music on how to videos? Thumbs down
Why not? I mean do you have any preference of music? Because I bet others prefer music you don't specifically like. To not seperate people's taste and expecting everyone to be the same is a very narrow minded way to live...
Will these fit on a 99-00 EM1 ?
Yes, same hubs.
@@Dan_AYP will 92-95 civic brake lines fit 96-00 ?
@@skinpounder666 242mm compatible calipers won't stretch far enough for 282 compatible calipers. Thats the only issue you'll have
