A good way to take out the bitterness of coffee is to add a little salt surprisingly enough. 1/8 of a teaspoon salt and then add your desired sugar and milk. We used to get growing coffee for the industrial coffee maker at work, it would make 1.5 gallons of coffee per package and we were told adding salt to taste would take away the bitterness. Never ate MREs, but did eat some C-rats a couple times. I discovered MREs years later. Some Ilike, some I don't. I've yet to try foreign rations.
The heat packs & creamer could have been pulled by customs, but maybe not. I know powdered creamer is highly flammable, & the heaters I remember in The Corps, in the first half of the nineties, could get quite hot, so that was the first thought that came to mind why before being shipped over the pond they may have pulled those items out.

1 of the best videos yawl made but am I the only one that got freaked out by the Google commercial with that woman 😂😂😂
Cold weather MREs are known to have a lot of liquids. That way soldiers are not getting dehydrated. As well as having low sodium menu's to help prevent dehydration.
That's not a cold weather ration, there's nowhere near enough calories. Put half a pound of boiled sweets in there and you'll be close.
I'm a new subscriber and I'm so glad to be here.
Are you Steve1989's Dad? Love your videos.
Love the vids. Keep them coming!
I like this MRE. It would feed me for two or three days. Thank you for sharing. 🙃☕❤

This is my first time commenting😊my favorite videos are when you dive😁 for lobster on Ace's youtube, it's impressive. Could you do some of those for your channel or is it just MRE? I still subscribed 😄 but if I may ask... what about those snorkeling videos😊
Absolutely love seeing the difference between different countries mre.....
I like doing full on comparison video reviews. Stay tuned for more of those this summer. TFW
Back in the day when we had the M58 boots, we'd use the used ration toothbrush to get the polish in all the nooks and crannies.
You are correct about the canned pound cake, in OD can.
When I enlisted into the Airforce (1976-1980), I heard later from my parents and neighbors, they had been questioned by the military about me. I was an Avionics Tech working on fighter aircraft. Second hitch (1980-1986)I switched to the Navy. Never heard if anybody got questioned again, I was an Electronic Tech working on radios and crypto gear, and got a Top Secret clearance.
Never ate MREs, but did eat some C-rats a couple times. I discovered MREs years later. Some Ilike, some I don't. I've yet to try foreign rations.
some of my family was Danish! this is awesome when I was in 5-6th grade I made a few dishes from Denmark for a school peoject.
Me Ancient says salt bae eat your heart out. 😂. Great videos man.
Woo hoo. Been waiting
Once you said Little Rock AR I put two and two together did you go to Marion Highschool in Marion AR? Just curious because I used to live in West Memphis.. for a little while before moving over to Greenbrier, AR
Marion, Iowa.....Met and married my wife in Arkansas 42 years ago in December.
Yes I ended up doing the same thing, except I was in the army as a 92 charlie.same 1100 questions, did they make you draw maps and give a list of names and addresses I was glad I did some of the Best times and friends I have had, thanks for your service, semper Fi!
We must get you a tea kettle for easier pouring of boiling water! Enjoy your vids!!
Another awesome mre and a good story, thanks Me Ancient 🙂
The raspberry drink reminds me of Danish dessert we make at Christmas.
Great video 👍
Speaking today it's 14.50 Saturday 12 August and it's 97 degrees here in Southern England
Wow, thats hot!
I'm on the outskirts of London and it's way too hot for me at 93⁰F
Can't wait for next week its supposed to be back to more normal summer temperatures.
@@christinevenner183 I'm in Slough
Those hummingbirds.. Sad yet beautiful somehow.
we used to put the fruit porridge in our chest pocket on our uniform and save it for a quick slightly heated afternoon snack, I'm not entirely sure how many thousands I've eaten that way though lol
Great idea when you are out in the field. Funny how much we can come up with when we're in the middle of living it. TFW
I believe you got so much stuff because they don't intend on a person just eating 3 times a day but instead give things to munch on in between meals too. That's what I think the nuts and dried fruits were for. Good video guys, I liked Ace's Hummingbird dogfight. 🙂
Great video!
In Denmark (and most of Europe) we don't like artificial stuff. The fewer ingredients the better!
It sure is good! TFW, John Doe
I love this video!!! It’s like a used car salesman trying to sell a 1978 Toyota!!! 😊
The best thing to stir up those freeze dried meals is a chop stick. It gets on the gussets very well.
Hey guys, you should try the Croatien MRE. Love your content💪🏼👍🏻
Thank you for your service but I have a quick question do you still have everything like your uniform I’m new so sorry if I missed it
I have very few uniform issued items left. I'll have to show them one of these days. TFW, Santino.
@@MeAncient ok thank you love your videos

In alot of eu member military rations the knorr company that you find in super market makes their noodle soups
I love how they added the Map with denmark on it (weirdly not in the center) for all the uneducated viewers who dont know where anything is in the world xD
Well, looks like even he didnt know :D No particularly cold weather in Denmark. It's not nearly as far north as Sweden, Norway and Finnland are (not talking about the most southern tips of course).
Its cold in the winter but yes Denmark have seasons so do Sweden.
They sell meusli in the US. Look for Bob's Red Mill. It's probably the best one I've had so far
Great channel 👏 👍 👌 🙌 😀
TFW and thank you for your compliment, Chris!
Number one ☝️
Best one yet.
You were aboard the El Paso, I was on her sister ship USS St.Louis LKA-116 out of Sasebo, Japan.
Was the zip bag from customs destroying original bag?
everytime i watch ur videos i see crazy mre in packets and heaters, in israel we probably have the lamest mre on the planet and my only guess as to why is because we usually always operate inside the country which is small and almost always has access to some base or outpost with food.
had us marines who were here for some joint training and they shared their mre that had beef in it... it was much better than what we had, would totally trade our tuna for it.
its funny because the us mre isnt looked down on compared to other mres.
Man that cereal bar is the best I've ever had .most of that meal pack is great ever fall on the canteens wow was in the infirmary for 2 weeks bruised a kidney
on the muesli the white powder can be powdered milk
