    This is ration number 6. We have heaters included rations just number 1-3 (for the front line). They are also include dried fruit, chocolate and chewing gum.
    Rations number 4-6 are for 2-3 lines of defence and barracks.
    We have a shortage of heaters, they are all imported((

    • @MrBuryak
      @MrBuryak 3 месяца назад +6

      Also, in my opinion, menu 6 is the least diverse. It's delicious, but it's: chicken broth, three types of porridge and beans. And everywhere: bay leave, carrot, onion. There are no tomatoes, sweet pepper, mushrooms, cabbage, like in other rations.

    I'm ukrainian. I tasted with my wife and friends several packs. They are really good. Such a big pieces of meat! And from daily ration 4-5 persons can be fed. The only minus - breads had smell of old socks. And no translation. From other side you just opens one of packs and it will be tasty!

    I’ve talked to members of the Ukrainian foreign legion and they mentioned how these rations are usually only used during offensives and when in the furthest most trenches. With most of there food coming in the form of prepared meals or as basics ingredients ( root vegetables, canned goods, sausages, oil, etc.) which would be cooked in rudimentary field kitchens near the front lines. Most made into different forms of borscht

    • @procaliberhq
      @procaliberhq  28 дней назад

      Yeah I just watched a documentary showing how one trench near the front lines still had a kitchen setup not to far away that prepared meals and a truck brought them in those large military field meal thermoses.

    On my little oven, like yours, I have a piezo lighter. I turn the gas button until it clicks, which turns on piezo and gas. After that I just have to adjust the gas. No need to light it with ligher. Also, don't use to drink the boiling water that you use to heat the pouch.

    • @procaliberhq
      @procaliberhq  5 месяцев назад +2

      It dosn't hurt anything. the boiling water kills any bacteria and the packets are designed for boiling. Its how soilders do it in the field to conserve water.

      @@procaliberhq Hi, in the Canadian army, it was advised to avoid drinking this water, microplastic, intoxication stomach ache. Most of the time we had ration heaters who take much less water. @@procaliberhq I guess they add the heaters in the winter when it gets properly cold. In summer temperatures can rise to 40C. But then again, I don't know if they'll differentiate the ration packs for winter and summer times. It'll be interesting to find out. I'll let you know what happens in the winter if my friends are still there. One is actually an engineer and was promised some type of engineering role. He wasn't pleased to be placed on the literal front line.

      @@procaliberhq Oh it's properly messed up. Two nights ago, when one Ukrainian team came to change for another, the team that was being replaced (they're all on the front lines) had been there for 14 days and nights. During that time, they only had 4 days of food. All the soldiers lost what seems to be like 5 kg each. How the hell can they (the Ukrainians) fight when a) they don't have the required weapons and b) no food? It's unbelievably insane. I was in the UK Royal Air Force mean years ago now and this never happened to us. It's like as if the West deliberately wants Ukrainians to die. It's so badly messed up it really does boggle the mind.

      @@procaliberhq Oh and another thing, they have little to no water on the front lines. Any water they have is from what they can carry. The Russians are literally one field away. The Russians have drones with thermal detection and all kinds of equipment and the Ukrainians have had their air defences destroyed. Anyway, my point is this, they have no access to running water to make any of this food even if they had these ration packs. What my friend did was go to ATB (the local supermarket) and buy dry food there. He only bought for four days thinking he'd be there only that long but it turns out he was there a fortnight.
