the best thing I noticed about the game is the great commentary. It does not seem to sound like the voice recording was done in a studio but rather in an arena. Unlike other games like nba 2k (monotonous), this one sounds like it’s in a live situation. Feels more realistic
It feels weird to watch it like this, because I'm used to play the game not horizontal but vertical since NHL 94. ;-) Maybe someone understands me! ;-)
Can you deactivate those additions for easier game (pass arrows and shot meter). It really make game look like arcade, and not a simulation, and draws attention from game
@@TheOnes1 I also play hockey. Its impossible to to move the stick that fast back, look how the animation changes from stick forward to stick back. Yes its possible to reach for a puck back but in this example its just awkward and not realistic.
@@greatvideos1446 cus I remember in old NHL when a CPU player intercepted a pass they would always wait for the puck to reach the stick and I find that unrealistic too.

I agree. It looks incredibly jerky/twitchy and unrealistic. Like every player is tweaking out trying to play a hockey game. No fluid smooth movements or animations AT ALL. Terrible game.
Maybe because Rockstar spends nearly a decade per game while sports games a new one comes out every year so they don't have as much time to spend on animations and graphics.

U can slow it down or speed the game play up all these are in settings its actually alot smoother than 21 and alot of bugs fixed the superstar factor give it a realistic realism when they show replays or depending on your skater
You have to change the angle of the camera.. so you can see the arc better. Then when you have the puck moving keep aproachinng until neal the goal and when you see a green dot you can shoot to score.... you must not shoot from far, since you will not have. Enough. Strength to score from a distance.... i have nhl 21 and it is. Super good and easy it is a great they. Are the best nhl 21 and nhl 22....
Really minor gripe but it feels like the flashing team name at 6:03 could be dangerous to photosensitive epileptics...gave me a headache. Literally 0 point to it as well other than presentation?
So I bought the game on PS4 for like $38 because it said PS4 and PS5 now that I am on PS5 though it wont give me the option for PS5 says I need to buy the game again for $45 for PS5 or the $100 X factor edition... Thanks EA now im on PS5 with the PS4 version of the game! (Is there anything I can do to get the PS5 copy?)
Why does every ea sports game look so perfect besides madden.. On soccer and hockey the movements are spot on the crowd looks great .. the bench does as well.. Madden is not spot on like this
U can slow it down....games the best NHL in my opinion...everyone complains about EA NHL....but I think they improved hockey....madden? The crowd still looks fake...look at the detail in the fans and mascots on NHL 22...they came along way...madden still has alot more improvements in my opinion

The announce team sucks, Jesus bring back Gary Thorne and Bill Clement. Also as usual typical EA I only see minimal improvements if any other than a roster update.
Not gonna lie. I’m a bit disappointed with how the ice looks when your playing the game. Looks kind of like plastic until it shows the goals and everything. But other then that cool gameplay
A lot of good games died out because they wouldn't carry ps3 games over to next generation consoles, the good and original developers like red storm entertainment no longer exist or are taken over by over devs and software companies...so you get repetitious, unimaginative crap with no replayability like extra game modes, add ons etc, multiplayer game modes and no using the cutting edge consoles, hardware and software to create better visuals, animations, and gameplay

The passing lane indicators and a shot selection indicators are so intrusive to the gameplay experience, gotta turn that stuff off

One thing I'll give NHL over other sports games is they made the commentary intense in this one. Other games still have the same old boring broadcasts

there is a setting for offsides, they recommend to turn them off for beginners
