I'm an enormous fan of Dead Space and I remember hoping that if they did a figure of the Remake Suit that they'd get figma to do it. When I found out that they were doing exactly that I pre-ordered it from BBTS damn near immediately. It's great to see a Dead Space figure that doesn't cost upwards of 300 dollars _and_ is of my favorite suit in the franchise. Here's hoping they do a Necromorph or two to go along with him!
@@Mothbean nice, the wait was worth it then. Yea I too hope they would make a few necromorphs or even other upgrade suits from game 1. There's were so many good looking suits in that game
I just received mine this morning. I have not pulled him out the box yet but to me it looks too much like a toy, lol…which it is. I may feel better about it once I pose him on display. I got mine for a really good price.
@Shadowx011 yea I think the exposed joints doesn't help for some ppl too. And if you compare the paint job, it definitely not as realistic looking as neca unfortunately
Ngl, I haven't caught up with Figma for what three years? So, it's nice to see them make good figures again, the last I heard of them was the problem on lose joints, any changes lately?
..also, I wonder why they didn't have the rotating part of the plasma cutter, as it is the most notable gimmick thing on the game, where you can aim horizontal or in vertical..and upon searching for the source, I found out that the stock one on the figure is the "safe mode" and it converts to "arm mode" when you aim it, which extends the yellow parts on the gun forward..you also can't rotate the front of the gun in "safe mode" as the yellow parts will hinder the rotation, that's why I guess figma didn't included that gimmick, but the fact they added a blast effect is not accurate since the plasma cutter included is on "safe mode"..they should add an "arm mode" where it has the yellow part extended, has the rotating gimmick and where you put the blast effect..
@@zygoart4175 yea it was strange they didn't add thr rotation. They didn't need to make it super accurate, just have the front portion peg in and you can easily turn that into something you can just rotate but unfortunately we didn't get that, such a shame and wish he came with more weapons too
@@toys210 what I think is specially weird,is the statue is a better version overall, it's just not a action figure. Better proportions, better deal. It's got a lights feature. I play and beat Dead Space 1-2. at least once a month, its just to fun and unique. Scary still. Each playthrough i try and mix it up to make it tougher. Dead Space 3 i enjoyed but felt more overwhelmed, the DLC is actually gold though. I want this toy.
@@MetaITurtle wow I think I have only played through 1 and 2 once each lol. I did buy the remaster one and played a bit and still very fun and graphics amazing too. Since you seems to be a huge fan of this game I definitely think you will enjoy this figure, a bit pricy but I still say is worth it.
I have an airbrush kit I have yet to use…I may add some color to the helmet to have an appearance of lighting up. I have never painted figures before so there is probably some simple kind of paint (I’ll use google) to get to paint the helmet up. An airbrush is probably overkill this is something that is easy to do with a little bit of research (RUclips videos on painting figures). I LOVE this hobby. 😎
..didn't expect it to be near same scale than the pop up parade, which is 1/10 scale, I believe..so he's bigger than the rest of the figma figures, and in scale to Mezco or Neca, even?
Dang, now I gotta see about tracking one for myself! I was hoping they were gonna remake part 2 since that part has my favorite suit design. But alas it doesn’t look like that is happening unfortunately.
I hate to be the "Um actually" guy, but it's actually the emitter part of the stasis module. The locator _is_ also built into the left hand of his suit, but several posters across the Ishimura and the Sprawl show that the blue thing is part of a stasis module.
@@Mothbeanyou're right, it is! I was just reminding the reviewer in the video since he said he forgot what the device is called when Isaac points his hand down.
I was actually going to cancel my pre-order as for some reason I remembered paying over $100.00 for this (actually in my mind I remember it being even more)…I forgot because I pre-ordered this Months ago. I went to cancel my order and realized I only paid $64.00 for this. If I am paying well over $100.00 I would want a light up feature…but the price I paid this figure is more than worth it. :)> So I am glad I decided to pre-order this figure as this is definitely a really nice Figure. 😎
I think not mate. This design is more simple, fluid compared to Doom, but figma must try to change this simple elbow and knee joint in this type of figure..If they put the figma dread Samus effort on this figures, they would be A+ figmas

I kinda wish they used UV reactive paint for the blue on his helmet tbh.
