I would encourage you to refer to author born out of wedlock, or in todays' vancacular, born to a single mother, be called that . Not called illegitimate. I know youvare using the description used when this man was born, thought even today children are refered with that derogatory term. I believe using that term will keep it in use. Just a thought.
I saw that Chase shaker set, in your eBay postings...there is nowhere here to put it, so I just had to cry a bit 😢😂 I sent you an email about a shaker I have. I'm needing to know what kind of shots/cups...whatever...would go with it, if you get a chance to give it a read.
Born and raised in Long Beach... Lots of history about earthquake...every brick vintage bldg has bn retrofitted to keep it from falling...lessons learned ... Long Beach has a poor selection of antique stores but but the architecture is awesome ... Also i collect Vernonware ... Theres many unique and wonderful designs ... Their state plates are the best ... I collect state plates too ... Thanks George
Please let me know how so many products sold with out bidding. They were sold instantly and the bidding should have lasted 6 days. That is not fair. We all should have the same advantage as the pieces went for one bid and sold. Please let me understand that many of us did not have a chance to bid on the pieces.
I believe George clearly mentioned that some of the pieces were available via "Buy It Now." I don't know much about reselling but I believe on selling platforms like EBay, "Buy It Now" allows someone to offer a bid that is high enough to immediately "win" the opportunity to buy a piece without further bidding. So if you found a piece that you wanted badly you could offer a bid that you felt would beat most/all other bids and you would be allowed to "Buy It Now." Being knowledgeable about the worth of a piece would help someone to bid successfully on a Buy It Now.
Thanks for sharing some history about Joel Chandler Harris and the Brer Rabbit stories. Despite the original intent of the author, I personally side-eye people today a bit zealous about collecting those types of “black” Americana items outside of keeping them for historical preservation purposes. Sometimes people are a little too caught up in seeing black people from an archaic perspective that never reflected black people’s own voices and perspectives. I have to question what their intent is.
When did you film this, George. You look like I feel this week. A great time it was. Great info about Vernon kiln. There's alot of it in our area. Love the lamp! Thanks George
I filmed it at 8 am the morning I got up to leave for Michigan! It was a great time though. Vernon did seem to sell in your area, that's where I got this piece and wow!
Oh and i collect children's books too ... Have a few uncle remus stories also Aesop's Fables which is also controversial... But the stories are so sweet ... Mycmom read them to me in the 60s i love them ... Love Tom Sawyer too 😉
Of all the content creators I enjoy you, George, the most for your extensive knowledge of art history and your sensitivity and sensibility. Never change!
I’m out on thin ice I realize, but that’s the daring, sometimes foolhardy type of person I am. I’m going to inquire about what dozens of your followers are wondering about, but reluctant to ask you: what is going on with you and Zeno? Obviously, since I haven’t seen “hide nor hair” of Zeno since before you last left for Florida, there’s a disruption in your relationship, but will you please address this issue due to the fact that I, along most of us, had affection for him? ❤😮❤😮❤
All is well, not to worry! We filmed in Mexico for the eclipse together but we didn’t end up releasing it because other RUclipsrs like @FatBirdFinds did a great job of showing it

I like being able to see the spelling of the pieces in the ebay listing's and the stories are great.
Oh that's a good thought, I forget that the way things sound and how they're spelled don't always correspond!
Very cool pieces George, happy to see this variety.🖤🇨🇦

Too private if you ask me. Im sure Xeno will be around.
You make yourself a public personality you have to expect these type of questions.
I have wondered if they are good friends, cousins, related, or something else
