      It does a bunch of calculations to narrow down search areas and things. For instance, a two year old girl is very small, she can’t walk very fast and will tire easily, a computer program will take a topographic map of the area and narrow down the likeliest places to search.

    Bigger question why would you take a two year old toddler on a hike without a baby backpack or a leash? Yes I know leashes on kids are controversial however in a situation like that I would put one on a toddler that young and not leave a toddler with a older siblings that's not over 11 years old

    • @thomasplouffe326
      @thomasplouffe326 2 года назад

      Tiny toddlers move faster then we think, especially two year olds, at that age they can walk and run with no problems or falling over, they know how to climb and don’t have a sense of danger yet, I still don’t understand why the dad left the supervision of his youngest daughter in the care of a four and six year old child, while in the home, or a backyard maybe the playground but never for a public place, the woods, the bathroom and pool

      Named after a really bloody Native American battle in the valley next to it. There was also a murder on this mountain several years after this show aired. It's a really difficult hike too. I can't imagine making 3 small children hike that mountain.

    Can some1 plz tell me what had ‘happened recently’ that made the police question the dads story plz???
    I can understand in this day & age, doubting the story of the father/parent - largely b’cos of high ‘revenge rate’ of hurting their children 2 make their spouse ‘pay’.
    But this was 26 years ago, when this was very very rarely heard of.
    I’m interested 2 find out.
    Well done & the highest level of praise 2 all involved in finding this little girl.
    I LOVED how the Ute came barreling down the track backwards.

      Susan Smith claimed that her children were kidnapped via car jacking, in South Carolina. After several days of a fruitless search she finally confessed to rolling her own car into John D. Long lake in Union County. She purposely left her 2 children in their car seats, so that they would drown. I don't remember their exact ages, but they were roughly 2 & 3 years old. I believe this is the previous incident they are referring to. I remember watching her on TV (the news even filmed the moment they pulled the car from the lake). And I remember watching this episode on TV. She reported them missing on October 25, 1994 & confessed on November 3, 1994.

      Dog’s what? Dogs: plural of dogs. Dog’s: belonging to the dog.

    This father lacks common sense , why in the world you bring your 3kids in the woods and leave them at a distance ! It's not a wise decision to have a walk in the woods with no additional adult with you .

  • @rizza8906
    @rizza8906 5 лет назад +2

    LOL. For all of those saying it was stupid of him to leave the children in the middle of the woods. It is! But tbh, I've been watching Rescue 911 for a while and I've seen many cases where common sense is not the norm. I think this scenario was still kinda normal in the 90s -- living children alone in the house, a 10 y/o baby sitter, a young kid looking after younger siblings, and the likes... But because of these events in the past, we know better than before. Today, leaving children alone is a crime.

    • @Cassxowary
      @Cassxowary 4 года назад +1

      Those were older and it was accidents, at least more or less. this is just stupidity, endangerment, irresponsibility. No accident here. You don’t leave a two-year-old and two other small children unattended in an open area!
