Just beautiful glaze combos. I was a full time RN for 42 years. Got my RN to pay my clay bills. So hard to be an artist on your days off from Nrsg when so tired. Now full time clay artist making up for lost time
Excellent! ! Thanks for the inspiration💗
Gorgeous bowl don’t change 💕
Love the mystery glaze!!!
Thanks! I did too! It’s almost gone but I have a jar of glaze chips for another one !
Really liked the glaze combination at 4:00 in your video. Very nice end product.
Thank you so much!! I use Magical Mist a lot in combo with other glazes, it creates such different effects each time.
Every peice Beautiful, A Wonderful Artist ❤❤
Thanks so much!🥰
Thanks so much for sharing your work. Its beautiful.
Thank you so much💕
Just loaded my first ever kiln glost firing this afternoon. Very limited on my glazes at this stage & cannot wait to unload late Saturday afternoon. Dinner party at our place early Saturday evening, it's going to be a tight turn around but I could not imagine a more fun thing to do after delicious wine & food but getting to see what has actually eventuated. Sharing your opening of the kiln & a full explanation of each glaze is so incredibly helpful. Kia ora, from New Zealand & thank you so much for sharing your knowledge
You’re welcome Kia!! Good luck to you, have fun with your first glaze firing, that’s very exciting!!!
I love the coppery feel of the trinket tray. (The trinket dishes would be great butter dishes lol). That Antique Jade is a winner!!
Also - "Soup Mug" is my new favorite thing
Well they started out as butter dishes!! Then they were a little small and didn’t fit the tops so… trinket dish😁
@@HedyBurress-vw4tr I’ve made some…I agree! Multi use pottery lol
Love the glaze combos.
Beautiful work, sister! Can’t wait to get my plates! I loved that bowl with all the colors! Great job.
I love you
Real pretty color mixes
Thank you so much!💕
Great work! I think I will start using lustrous jade more now. Thanks!
I can be great with other glazes for sure! Over Dark green is nice too, especially on toasty clay😊
Lovely, lovely glaze combos!
I would love to see your tutorial on the wall planters!! There are so many videos of mugs!! Gosh your pieces are soo beautiful!!
Thanks so much! I will get one made. My sister came to town! I also have some glazing to do first but for sure I’ll make one💕
Beautiful!
Thank you💗
Enjoyed the video. Compare what glazes I have to see how they are going to look. I am getting close to retirement and want add pottery to my hobbies.
It’s very good for the soul!
OK, so I LOVE the wallflower pockets, along with your sgraffito trinket tray - awesome work on the sgraffito! CFE underglazes are awesome, Paula McCoy has some great videos on them (both on glass and ceramics) You did really well with the design! You have so many great pieces, cant wait to see more of them! Also, you mentioned you are a nurse, God Bless. Thanks for posting, Regards, Marie DeMarco from Holmdel, New Jersey ;-)
Thank you💕I am filming the making of a wallflower pot tomorrow👍🏻
Thanks for the kind words Marie…xoxo
Great results! Too bad about that one that stuck. It was beautiful! Anyway, I love the glaze combos. Well done!
Thanks for watching...again!! And I know right? Could have been worse though! Always happy when there isn't too much carnage in the kiln!
Beautiful pieces!! Great video.
Thanks so much!
Thanks for such a great video. I'm glad to have found you I'm in the UK and in similar position. Care assistant hoping to retire and transition ❤️
WE CAN DO IT!! There really is something to be said about doing what brings joy and nourishes your soul:)
Wow!!!! GREAT KILN OPENING!! so impressed with the carved bowl w the flux blossom on inside. That’s incredible work 🥰 new subby here!!
Yay! I appreciate it! Too bad the carving was so out of focus but lesson learned! By the way, What feedback did you get on whether people like in or out of the kiln unloadings? Just curious! I like the way you did your video w everything out👍🏻
@@SoulHavenPottery-gt2gf I could totally see it! And I absolutely love that piece - can you send me the link to ur underglazes that are gel? I think people like them all displayed out so u can see all of them while you are doing show and tell 😂

colorsforearth.com/. Hopefully it goes through!
@@SoulHavenPottery-gt2gf got it thank you!!
@@thehappyhomesteadnh I really like them, much more of a watercolor look
You have some lovely combo's! I bet you are ready to retire today! Thanks for sharing, nice work!
Thanks! I’ve been ready for years😁..especially when there’s pottery to make!
@@SoulHavenPottery-gt2gf I left healthcare after twenty yrs in in and had my own business for 11yrs. I sold that three yrs ago and loving it! I can hardly wait until you do this full time and how long have you been a potter? Only yr and half for me. 😁 I have to say I bought a few more glazes after watching your video lol. 👍
@@cpnotill9264 wow..good for you! I took pottery classes in nursing school 30 years ago! Came back to it about 6 years ago and just haven’t been brave enough to take the leap. But I am getting closer, really close. Thanks for the encouragement and inspiration👍🏻💕
Beautiful results 👍❤️
Did you use a form for your plates or are they wheel thrown?
Thanks! GR pottery forms. 2 different shapes. The rim is my own template😊 I have not had luck wheel throwing plates🙄
I really enjoy your videos! I’m curious about the beautiful plates. If the sunflowers are a rolling pin, how did you keep the edges smooth?
Thank you! I appreciate that! So I use GR pottery forms and you flip the textured slab over onto it (texture down) and you do have to not press too hard when molding the clay around the form because it can smooth out the texture…but if you’re gentle it stays 😊 might be why my plates warp though, because I’m afraid to compress them enough.
Hi again @marycarolyn1293...I was just reading your question again. I think I didn't read your question right. I see you are asking about the "edges" and what I did on the edges was I put a disk over the center to cover where I wanted to keep the texture, then I removed the texture from the edges by smothing the clay out with a rib...I think maybe this is what you were asking? :)
@@SoulHavenPottery-gt2gf Yes - exactly! Thanks for this explanation. I couldn’t figure it out and loved the look you got 😊
oh good! lol...glad I could help :)
I love your colours very similar to my unloads. My fav glaze is reactive red but it always runs badly! Your first mug is gorgeous
n looks like it didn’t run at all. How many coats of the rr did u do please?
Thanks! That was the first time using Reactive Red for me! I used 2 coats to bottom half of mug...yeah, it didn't seem to run except where the Hot Chowder ran into it. I'll be trying it again but different application technique
I'm wondering if the texture slowed it down any?
@@SoulHavenPottery-gt2gf usually texture makes it run like crazy for me
hmm! ok, I don't think I will use more than 2 coats next time then, especially near the bottom
