Regarding any advertising you may see: I don't monetized anything on RUclips. However, (c) holders for the music are given permission to run ads when their content is IDed on upload. The ads you're seeing are placed by them (artist//label/publisher/google/etc). Unfortunately, I have absolutely no control over them. I never see them as I have a RUclips Premium/Music account (~$12 a month for no ads across RUclips). The other option is to get a free Adblocker for your browser (there are a bunch for Chrome/Firefox/etc). Some have said if you skip to the end of a video and click replay it'll play the video w ads on the replay. But yeah, sorry, they're not by/for me and I can't prevent them.
Thank you for what you do. It is a great service and we appreciate you sharing !!
Man what a show this was. My first dave show... camped at Lee's, brought 2 kegs and forgot most of this night. I somehow got to the show without my ticket, most of its hazy - I browned out if you will - but I remember most of the show, this song specifically pulled me out of my drunken drug filled stupor and I remember just being absolutely entranced by the magic of the Dave Matthew's band.
Fast forward to the end of the show, I leave just sort of following the crowd, thinking I'll just find my way to Lee's (which if you dont know, is nowhere near spac). As the crowd dissipates I realize I am completely alone and totally lost. I stumble past a random subway shop...and inside are two of my best friends who I came to the show with, who also ended up there on equally ridiculous circumstances. Now that theres 3 of us on the same false sense of drunk righteousness, we figure theres no way we cant make it to Lee's from here. Wrong. It's about a 15 minute drive from where we are. Our phones are almost dead and were still completely lost, so we stop at a gas station to get a charger. I say to my buddy "how the fuck are we gonna get to Lee's?" When a voice echoes out of a car "yo did you say Lee's? Hop in!" So we hitched a ride from this random stranger with one of his friends who was essentially unconcious in the back seat back to Lee's, find the group and have an amazing story to tell, and the excitement of knowing night two was ahead.
I left out tons of details and doubt this even makes sense, but god damn I'll never forget this time in my life and I'll always come back here to reminisce. In the face of this fucking crazy time right now, I hope all of you are ok and make it through this for the next dave show, specifically spac to create more lifelong memories and ridiculous stories as long as we can.
Stay safe everyone
They honesty is admirable
wish that flute would go on forever!

an Amazing Individual
thanks for all the Great
Music ! 🙏🌹
Holy musicianship.
Bela and Jeff were amazing on the Solo. I just wanted to bring up how insanely awesome Carter's drumming was during it as well.
The whole band can be argued some of the best musicians at their respective instruments.
Mischa Dombovy-Johnson carter has never ceased to amaze me. His drumming is and always be amazing
with the exception of boyd.
Probably one of the most musical bands I've ever heard.
Agree in terms of Carter and Roi, they are masters in their instruments. Dave isn’t anything special on guitar, but as part of a band, he’s legendary in my opinion. The band is very unique.
@@matto483 yea, I've always felt like at times Boyd sounded like a braying donkey "He Haw He Haw He He He He Haw"!
Listened to this version more than a hundred times. Can't get enough of it. Love you DMB.
too right
I get goosebumps!!!! such a amazing song!
i love this song
love love love and love this. SO perfect.
My first Dave Matthews Band concert. 😍
What a JAM. Bela, Jeff, and Carter killed it.
Chester My Man, ya did it again..This was my 20th show at SPAC, my buddy's first..Best show so far..Many Thanks!!!
It breaks my heart. Always.
Absolutely brilliant!!
I love when they play in time signatures outside 4/4.
In other words, you love the flecktones
The Dave Matthews Band. Legends that are in waiting. They still have more ROCKING TO DO! YES! DMB! 😇
Thank you for putting up all the great videos that you do.
This is EASILY the best version of Dreaming Tree I've ever heard
Marc Bollinger was this your first time hearing man ? with that statement this must be the ONLY version you have heard....I suggest listening a version with leroi or something in 2000/prior......I find this version stale & goes nowhere, along with non-fitting horns that Rashawn typically brings....
Marc Bollinger I agree with Marc. I have seen several versions of DT with leroi and others. This version was special. Love how Jeff and Bela have a conversation -- they are clearly connected musicians. Not that I like to compare versions, but this version stood out for me. (I was there at SPAC that night). You can even see it in Dave's face and Stefan's face -- they are enjoying it as much as we are! Thank you CC5 for all you give to us.
Marc Bollinger that's part of the magic of this band. At least for me, I have a hard time determining what the best version of any given song that I like of theirs. The music meets me where I'm at and One version on one day I can be the best I've ever heard. Another day, another version could be the best I've ever heard. I guess that's the mark of a legendary band. Love these guys.Piedmont Park is a good version too. It's more subtle.
I can't believe I am finally just watching this now! Carter, Bela & Jeff are so damn fluent! #timetokeepshedding
Buena banda DMB, justo homenaje a Bela Fleck, que gracias a Dios continúa con su banjo
Awesome video.
Great performance.
Thank you.
Just wonderfull!
Thank you!
Another awesome video from the Master!!! Thank you! I was soo happy to be there & hear this again live :)
CC5 doing work. Thanks again for the effort, for the enjoyment
Wow - just awesome! Thanks for posting!
Awesome. The very end of this version is just the best
This is always an awesome combo!
Dave Matthews Band is:
Carter Beauford on drums,
Carter Beauford on drums,
Carter Beauford on drums,
And featuring Carter Beauford on the drums
Yeah if that's the case then who's going to play the drums?
It’s true. Him and Coffin lead and run the jams for sure. Master musicians
I love you Dave
Thank you so much for this!! Such an amazing weekend. I am still trying to figure out how there are three thumbs down for this video?!?
Perfection ✌
I was there. Great shows.
Best lyrics dave Matthews has written possibly... from their best album BTCS
I was there.... unbelievable!
Love my Dave Matthews
I hope he plays this night 1 in Denver.
Excellence.
Keep up the great work! Hopefully people have given you enough material for a Night 2 full performance although both nights were beautiful
Andrew Hyman Unlikely. Great show though.
Bro. 🔥
I know you've probably got a ton of requests for it, but could you please please please put up the full show of the second night at SPAC on the 4th of July? That show was amazing
Carter is on fire!
Really Great..!!! Fuck Damn , mAn....
Chocolate rain at 13:10
One of my favorite songs by DMB! Having said that, I'm not sure I like the way that Carter is playing the 7/8 groove during the first verse. He's not playing it like he normally does, which is a very improvisational style of playing. Instead, he's playing it like Neil Peart would. It's hard to explain in a short comment. I haven't listened to the rest of it because I wanted to make this comment first. Maybe he plays the rest of the song like he normally does. Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge DMB fan and an even bigger Carter Beauford fan. Just felt like mentioning something.
+drewper73 I was there for this one, I love Dreaming Tree, but the only thing that kinda got me down on this version is how Carter plays it. You're exactly right. I saw them again a few days after SPAC, at Blossom, they played this again and Carter went back to his old way of playing this song.
+drewper73 i know exactly what you mean and i COMPLETELY agree. the version on live trax 14 is my absolute favorite live version.

Zavien Stickler I'm glad other people not only noticed the difference in Carter's groove, but were also a little put off by it. It makes me wonder why he would try playing the verse groove that way in the first place. Maybe he ended up playing it that way via improvisation. If that was the case, you'd think that he would notice the big change in the feel and immediately change to a different groove. The psychology of performance and improvisation. Is there any money to be made in that field? God knows my friends and I have pondered why certain drummers play this and that instead of playing that and this. Very interesting, to me anyway.
+drewper73 I think he played it this way because it's straight forward. It was their first time playing it in about a year, and the last time they played it, it was a disaster. So I think carter was trying to play it safe and stick with the straight forward rhythm rather than sticking to his old style. So when they played it again at blossom a few days after spac, Carter must have had more confidence in the song to go back to his old ways.
@ 12:40 are they playing Chocolate Rain?
Nick Miranda Yes
Mike Heiserman Right on

This is one of the songs on Before These Crowded Streets on which Bela Fleck didn't play. That's okay though.
what's the name of the flutist...? Reminds me to Herbie Mann
Jeff Coffin
🙂
Any chance of Take Me to the River from N1??
A RUclips Ad during the jam? What the hell? Why are you destroying your videos with un-skipable mid roll political ads now? Your DMB videos were the absolute best, and now they're ruined! I can no longer turn on a video and walk away without a loud ad blaring halfway through.
Why? Just why? 😠
I don't monetized anything on RUclips. However, (c) holders for the music are given permission to run ads when their content is IDed on upload. 10:00 then u can figure out the rest later.
is there a better version of this? I dont think so.
A commercial in the middle of this?
I have zero control over the commercials. They're placed by the artist or (c) holders. If you susbscribe to RUclips Premium (~$12 a month) or get a free Adblocker for your browser (might be possible on some devices) you won't see Ads. Best I can say. I don't monetize anything though.
full show from night 2??
dallas9426 No where near enough video to do it unfortunately.
***** all good! personally by far the best show I have been to. Did that rank high on yours?
tpflt_al
dreamingtree.org for audio
Damn they played it fast... too fast imo
agreed, tempo was way too fast
Bela is like I'm better Jeff, Jeff's like naw F you Bela lets do this
Amazing Song. It's perfect
Dave has a look between seductive and defiant . Makes me nervous
Bela puede dar más! Le dejaron poco margen para tocar, otra canción podría ser más acorde
