You’ve bought an absolute gem. Never get tired of hearing that CSL induction noise. NA engine with an addictive intake roar is what I most enjoy in a car.
Dream car. Honestly, I can live with not owning any of the latest M cars, but an M3 csl is and will always be the one I would want. Please do another POV drive with it, so that we can enjoy the sound! 😀
Sounds so good on the dyno! How do you get the car into dyno mode? I tried putting mine on the dyno 2 weeks ago and it kept cutting power at 6000rpm, so couldn't get a baseline figure sadly.
Sweet, I did these to my E46 m3 and that engine hasn’t been quieter ever. Dr Vanos (USA) exhaust Hub (larger teeth) so no need for Beisan Pump disc, both inlet/exhaust splined gears (anti rattle kit) , Dr Vanos Cam Sprockets (noise reduction), Full Beisan Seal Kit, Cam Bolts replaced…as far as seal kit goes don’t buy anything but Beisan (the teflon seals are very fragile if you get them from somewhere else)
@@EvolveAutomotive does this make the CSL gear changes even smoother? Could I still get it on my E46 even after I’ve already had the CSL gearbox update ?
Short answer: vanos, long answer... that's not even that much, but it's usable power, linear and progressive, without gaps. BMW has the motorcycle division, from wich they borrowed some features, like individual throttle bodies, equal length headers, higher flow heads and all that jazz that ensure equal distribution of the flow, between cylinders. Other than that, the long and proven experience on racetracks, allowed them to make all of that, reliably, but that's before the beans counters stepped up, pushing around the engineering teams..

Love the CSL; I’m not sure BMW will ever make a better package; looks, noise and just downright coolness.
Best sounding straight six out there, so good
Amazing car!
Imran you have a dream collection for any car enthusiast, especially a car enthusiast that loves BMW's.
Enjoy them in good health
Blessed 🙌
You have had some nice ones Sam 👍
@@meandthefamily1485 Thank you! I shouldn't complain but it would have been great if one of them was a CSL 😁.
😊🖐
500 miles in five to six years, SMDH. Please drive and enjoy the car at least 1000 miles each year, happy motoring.
Thanks for sharing
Loved the sound!
That was peak BMW, beautiful NA power with class
That in line 6 noise!!😍😍🤤🤤🤤🤤
I need to book my e46 m3 in soon.
Some nice roller climb goin on.
Made more power than my mates r8 v8 😅 carbon build up galore
Legend of a car, what a sound.
Why is there no Eventuri plenum for the 46?
We make our own Carbon Airbox, so no need for Eventuri to produce their own product also.
What a sound 👌
I have a manual E46 M3 and am just down the road from you in Sundon Park. What can you do for me ?
Many things! Including a carbon airbox for the same sound 😉 Pop in and see us in the New Year, happy to discuss.
@@EvolveAutomotive I will do thanks. Merry Xmas.

No dyno mode just have to know how to do it.
Theres a way to do it, pressing buttons and shit
@Darren Boston yeah there is. I don't think there was on early ones. But 53 onwards there is
This is for all e46 m3s , it doesn't allow you to rev past 6k if front tyres are not moving. There is a way to bypass this and put in 'dyno mode'
Everyone keeps saying that there is a way, but they don’t say how.

A CSL in black has got to be the coolest thing ever.
That's made decent power. 👌🏼
Great video! How much additional BHP do the cams make? Interested to know if it’s worth investing the ££££’s in a standard S54.
About 15, as you can see its all in the top end, so great for track.
What upgrade are you doing on the gearbox? It’s a CSL so it should already have the upgraded gearbox?
Different software that we developed many years ago.
@@EvolveAutomotive does this make the CSL gear changes even smoother? Could I still get it on my E46 even after I’ve already had the CSL gearbox update ?
Healthy engine 👍🏽
Very good video
Strong motor
M3 CSL, best M car ever
Put a DKG and Carbon brakes on it, it would be the coolest BMW that BMW never made 😁. Cheers and great work.
Whats a dkg?
@@chrisg4rr377 Double clutch transmission?
Except it doesnt need carbon brakes to be "cool"
@@TopiAS06 dct and dkg roll off the tongue differently. I geuss it could be anything you want.
Double Killer Grunt remaps even????
@@chrisg4rr377 yeah... thats the one, dont play stupid, you know what it meant, there was no other choice
Possibly the best induction sound…. In the world
I’m going to record this E46 dyno sound and play it thru the speakers of my weak ass Jetta.
The best BMW ever made.
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻👏🏻, Beautiful car, like brand new !
I'm pretty sure bmw stated that the carbon airbox added no power and was only fitted to reduce weight?
No. It adds power as evidenced by normal E46 M3s with CSL airboxes
@@EvolveAutomotive I thought the extra power just came from the ecu changes when retrofitted to a normal e46m3?
@@vxlgsi the cams and airbox work together to get more air into the combustion chamber
@@vxlgsi incorrect. I've tested the airbox on its own and it adds between 5 to 10 BHP.
@@EvolveAutomotive wow thats significant so I guess the airflow meter must be the restriction?
The induction noise doe
Heavenly
Nice, how did BMW get so much power out of a NA engine?….

Imran you look good in jeans and hoody 👍
Bavaria Motor Works ❤️🤍
6 speed conversion maybe?
Nope
no need to ruin original car like that
I had a manual conversion on my m3,didn’t, enjoy the car as much, after
I love beating on BMW's with my Civic. 🤣🤣🤣 M3 LOL I destroy them with My 93hatchback with my K24/K20 motor
