I agree with you in regards to Max. I've watched since the beginning and I thot he was just acting nice, pleasant and professional. Now I see that in fact, he really is all those things.
He always came across very douchey, but knowing how much and purposeful they edit these shows it was probably mostly editing. He did seem to string Dayna along though.
Very articulate and compassionate interviewer. Max, so happy to hear you are doing well. You sound so centered and peaceful. No greater feeling. I don’t understand a world that doesn't uncancel an 18 year old tweets. Forgiveness is one of the greatest gifts we give ourselves. Glad there was no social media when i was 18.
Great innate chat between you two that flowed easily. Adam you did a great job opening the door to let Max share his professional and personal thoughts. Max sure seemed so open and honest as a person that I sure wish him much growth and understanding from others. You guys nailed the interview, thanks so much for sharing😎
Thank you for interviewing him. I am so glad to hear his side and I do wish we could have heard from him during the season so that the bad perception could be dispelled.
I felt differently about this interview. I've watched the show and don't remember Max. He is a terrible interviewer. Every other word is "like" "you know". I feel he couldn't put a sentence together. It was hard to watch😢
I'd be good if I never saw Jax again and I definitely will not be watching VPR with him on it and all the BS... after bullying that Raquel for what he did and telling her to go kill herself and stuff like that I will never ever watch those people again. They're disgusting
@@stephaniedrew4050jax never said anything like this. That’s a dangerous lie you’re starting. Jax also wasn’t cancelled. It seemed like he started over reaching his power on the show and was let go with the option of backing out of next season to save his image. If you look at the final episode and the reunion we it’s clear he rubbed LVP the wrong way
He was canceled unfairly! At the time it was fine. However it is time for him to go back reality tivi. He deserves it! You go man!!! Adam you did a wonderful job on this interview!!!⭐️
An amazing interview Adam. You are talented in asking probing questions along with a kind and empathetic interviewer. Max presented such an interesting perspective. I believe in redemption!
I wasn’t a Max fan before and I do believe in cancel culture but now listening to the fall out and the damaging effects it had on him and his life mentally and career. It definitely changed my opinion and how they do deserve the chance to redeem themselves and show they learned and evolved. Great interview Adam and I wish Max the best.

Loved this interview! Out of all the canceled people I thought Max had the worst deal. He also should have been brought back before any of the others, but that’s another story. Thanks Adam this was great!
Great interview, Adam! I was indifferent about Max season 8, but I like him more after this. I think he was a scapegoat , but he deserves a second chance. Good luck, Max!
Great interview with Max! Good to hear from him. I saw your Juicy Scoop interview and I did love it, I have to saw though McDonald talks wayyyyy to much when she has guest on, she talked over you alot. I started to cry when you told your story about what happened with your custody as a child. How heartbreaking dor you and your Mom. I'm so sorry that woman did that to you💔 At least you knew that your mother loved you and wrote you everyday!
Adam, stellar job of interviewing. You listen so well, avoid interrupting, ask good questions. Max is a cool guy, very likable. Now, we are all waiting for the interview with Raquel.
First excellent that you had Max on and gave him a chance to tell his story. It's such an extremely interesting story coming from a bi racial background made it most interesting. He seems to be doing very well but it seemed he has some residual sorrow still living inside him. I wish he could have more opportunity to speak to this situation. We all make terrible mistakes and judgement along the way and he's certainly taking full responsibility. It seems the timing was so bad because he hadn't had time to get comfortable on the show so apparently wasn't doing that well then the awful racial mess happened. He was young...and like most of us stupid when he made the bad posts. I simply admire how he handled everything. Of course he had to deal with Mom so you know it's all authentic. I wish him the best of luck. He did VERY WELL in the interview and while I felt badly for him I was extremely impressed. He seems to have learned many lessons and I would suppose he's going to have a wonderful life ahead.
We ❤u Max! Wishing you were on a show or at least publicly in view in some capacity. I am bi-racial and I totally get that people do/say dumb things when they are young. No hard feelings whatsoever bro! Keep doing you and best wishes!

@UP AND ADAM, man you def found your calling GREAT Interview! This comment comes many miles from BH's, in fact it comes from Nashville about Morgan Wallen and he was canceled (b/c of a recorded drunken racial slur) as well during the pandemic but now he's the hottest ticket in Country Music b/c he uncanceled himself. His label dropped him, All of the CM Industry canceled him including Country Radio, Billboard didn't b/c it's based on digital numbers but #1 he had great fans and great stories to tell. He had already written some popular songs for artists but during the pandemic he did something that's Never been done, he recorded 22 tracks on his 2nd album, again not even Garth Brooks or Taylor Swift had done this and put it on YT then arenas started filling up and even extra shows had to be added, then his 3rd album dropped w/36 tracks on it and he's hugely popular, so it can be done, Max just needs to find his passion! A Black Christian Rapper named Lathan Warlick recorded YT Shorts "Last Night" with MW and he added God in the remix. Perhaps Max just needs some ✝️ Faith ✝️ in himself, just believing in yourself and Not others opinions is most of the battle. Best wishes to Max and Adam please make sure he reads this (sorry so long) 💜✝️💜
it was nice to see and hear Max, glad to hear his side and that he is doing well. Continue to do your therapy, you are not a bad guy! Adam saw you on juicy scoop, broke my heart, I'm a grown man and your story brought tears to my eyes. Look at you now my friend, you are a winner!!
I need to go back and watch 8… i dropped off of vpr a couple seasons prior to max and then w the scandoval came back in..this is stellar and real! Ty adam and max! Love hearing the real and positives 💕
Amazing interview, Adam - you're an all-star! I loved Max's transparency. I will admit I wasn't a huge fan of him before, no particular reason per say, the show just didn't show him in the best light. But this interview was very enlightening, and I must say I'm a Max fan now!
Good interview! This kid shouldn't have been fired. They should have brought him back, allowed him to tell his story and use this as a teachable moment for him and their audience. Canceling only creates more divide and resistance. I enjoy VPR. Even if it is 99.9% all white. Doesn't bother me at all. Lol What does bother me is the hypocrisy of these networks that seem to hide behind their predominately white talent, that they cast btw, and sitting back letting them take the heat and the responsibility for their lack of political correctness when they're not even exhibiting an interest in "properly" diversifying their own talent. They tried with Faith and Billy, but those were both fails. I don't understand it. Just let the kids play together, no matter the race or ethnicity, don't talk about race, just allow them to get to know each other organically and I promise you, it will work. I know this because I've given birth to 4 Max Boyens, ok.... 😉 Again, I don't mind an all white cast, but if they want to cast people of color, they need to make sure they are the right person for the job. Don't just throw any Jane or John Doe on there for compliance purposes. Do it because you want to be a network that's interested in displaying what the world and the people in it really looks like. Just sayin'...
Thank you Adam for the wonderful interview. Max , thank you for being honest and vulnerable. Although I did not agree with your tweets, they were a decade prior and you were a kid. When he said you can’t live in CA and be racist, that really told me all I need to understand about his perspective. As a black, 46 yr old woman born and raised in CA, I can tell his experience as a white passing biracial man is not very acute. He sounds regretful but mostly about the cancellation instead of how his actions may actually impact others. Also being friends with black people does not indicate the lack of prejudice or hate towards us. Many black people are antiblack because our society teaches ppl to be antiblack. Richardson supporting his friend doesn’t indicate much to me, changed behavior and remorse speaks volumes.
Adam I just watched u on Juicy Scoop. OMG, Ty for sharing. I cried with u. I raised a son as a single mother. He is my life. U'll help so many ppl because u shared yr personal story. I also subscribed to yr channel. My adult son is my bff too. He's getting married son & I don't love the gf but he's 35. He's a grown ass man now. We talk daily...she doesn't like that. I'll have the getaway car ready in case he want's to b a runaway groom. The best of everything to u.🥰
As a single mother, I can honestly say my son and I had an amazing relationship, and I was very happy for him when he married. I love my daughter-in-law, however, that being said, over the years my son has grown closer to his in-laws and our relationship has suffered. My son has grown much more distant toward me, and I have never been a clingy mother. I have always been very independent but was always there for my son/daughter-in-law for anything they needed. Don't know why things have changed but I can tell you to prepare yourself. As the saying goes “Hope for the best but prepare for the worst” because it does change. Wishing you the best.
@donna71 and all the ppl that liked my comments to Adam. And my own personal story. Donna, I hear u & Ty so much for the advice. Adam I love u, u r a sweet, smart young man. Wishing u all good things.
@@midtownkitten483 Not in my lifetime. Over my dead body...or his wife's. Just kidding, I think. I will do anything & fight for my son. I realize I must respect & accept & trust his choices. I do. My poor parents watched as I left home & moved to another state for a guy, who I married. Moved out at 19, married @22. However, I stayed very close with my parents. Always spent holidays with them. Always flew to their state. Gave them their first grandson. They liked my husband until the divorce & then they supported me emotionally thru all that. They were great parents. I was very lucky. They've passed on. Thank God I stayed close to them & spent all the holidays 🙏.
I feel so bad for Max, seems he got the worse part out of all the cancel people. I wish him all the best!!! And you Adam , you are amazing!!!! Everything you went through when your parents got divorce and giving Max the opportunity to tell his side!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
He might not look it …but he is a black man in American despite his skin color!! Believe me people use to ask me if I was adopted SMH they’d see my siblings or my mom…it really is hurtful!! I doubt this young man is far from a racist!! His black grandfather raised him. It’s so sad!! I feel bad for him!!
I thought Max was a little doll, little mysterious..didn't hear anything about a racist comment, just didn't see him anymore..He's like a Peter, He's there in the background, I think he had a great presence about him, and was soft on the eyes! Too bad they canceled him..everyone has a bone in their closet thst their not proud of..forgive, forget, and put him back on!
You did such a great job with this interview! Clear, professional and you picked all the best questions. Also it sounds like max was a rude manager at times so props to you for still delivering something great
I feel terrible for Max.. I hope everything in his future is all positive & I hope if something comes along for Max on TV he will consider doing it. He’s a good guy who made a mistake when he was very young..
Max keep your chin up. This will past. Keep doing this and getting your story out. I don’t think anyone realized who you really were. Nice guy and I’m sorry you had to go through this. I wish Lisa would put you somewhere. Great job Adam!
Awe, I actually thought Max was fine on Vanderpump, and I knew it was show drama. You can tell it looked contrived. Especially when Katie was laughing. I get how hard it could be. Stay cool, Maximus.
Hi honey saw you on Juicy Scoop too. Sorry about your past trauma. I get it about being a Cancer. I am and so is my 23 year old daughter who was super sensitive as a divorced child. I feel the pain but as much as we feel, man we are strong and move on. Love ya❤
i do not think he is racist he just said something dumb when he was a teen that is how all teens act and talk. He is half black and his mom is black, forgive him and move on. I am pretty sure if people looked up everyone, I guarantee you someone has said something racist at one point or another.
I always liked Max. It wass good to hear from him. Hope he finds success in his endeavors. Like Stassi and Kristen, he deserves a second chance. Lots of new and established people in Hollywood say things that they shouldn't or get misinterpreted. Some people just have nothing better to do but troll public figures and dig up old stuff from social media posts that this nobody at the time did when they were young, stupid and immature. Hard lesson to learn from when it comes to the Internet. That dick pic you sent will forever be glorified in cyberspace.. Best of luck to you Max!!
Max may have been perceived wrong, because not enough people believed that he was sincere. However, his actions (the tweets) were perceived correctly as unacceptable. I also think it's a cop out to say that at 18, he did not know better. Not thinking it's a big deal is not the same as not knowing better. Max did not come off well on the show primarily because of his dalliances (Scheana, Dana, the other woman). However, he seemed the most sincere at the time about taking accountability unlike Brett, Kristen, Stassi, and Jason. I thought it was unfair that he was not asked back. All the people who did much more eggregious things have been welcomed back.
Season 8 was the result of production trying to bring in “too many” new cast members. Usually an established show brings in one or two new cast at most.
I always thought Max was really good looking, so I liked seeing him in season 8. Tbh I don't really remember any of the dramas he was involved in, but I applaud him for considering his role as a manager and how much shit he stirred up.
Max confessed that he slept with Katie during season 8. He informed us about a month ago or so. In the beginning of this interview he even stated he slept with someone he shouldn’t the 1st day filming and that led to a whole thing. 😢
It’s crazy because I was one of those people that thought Max was a racist. Like OK Adam why do you have him on. How is this the first time I’ve heard anything about his mother. Completely changes the situation. Poor choices but not racial. This was a great interview and I’m now a max fan
Past tweets against multiple ethic groups surfaced. His family’s background was mentioned in an episode. He wasn’t much of a character outside of bed hopping and diminishing women, like some of his male colleagues.
I’m so glad that I have any insight. I know his mother very well. She’s very proud of Max. His grandmother is married to a black woman after his grandfather passed away. His uncle is Korean. He was young and Max and his uncle we’re jabbing back-and-forth this whole thing blew up in his face unfortunately and you guys don’t know the truth Max is a very humble young man and honestly doesn’t hate anybody comments that are mean or hard to read even for me
Its painful to know Max is so clueless he claims you can't live in CA and be a racist. As someone who has lived for most of my life in CA, I can't list how often the depth and amount of vicious racism is revealed by people I know well.. People who live right here, right now. What they have in common is the ability to keep their true feelings hidden in public. They have friends and associates among POC and feel those folks are not representative of their race. So they behave well to them. Underneath that outer behavior is a deep streak of hatred towards others of color. i truly feel sorry for Max, that he seems to believe this inaccurate statement about Californians. I watched this in chicago and palm beach 70 years ago and thought that as elders died, this attitude would change. Its hard for me to recognize that tho it does change, it seems to be taking so long, like maybe a couple hundred years before it's gone?
When all this went down, and then it came out that Max is black from his Mother's side, I was so pissed for him. I know exactly how your mother must have felt, because my children are mixed race. They appear Caucasian, but they aren't. I'm 💯 percent Asian, born in Pakistan, immigrant, raised in the US. My hubbs is mixed Caucasian/ Mediterranean. It's really frustrating when people just assume they're white, I've had people ask me if my son is mine, because he has blonde hair and blue eyes. You cannot take away someone's race and experience, just because they look Caucasian. Max is as much African American as he is Caucasian. He was carried in the womb of a black woman. His is not Caucasian.
He is Caucasian, Caucasian and black, and he should be proud of being both And probably a lot of other ethnicities, considering very few of us nowadays are truly 100% one ethnicity
I don’t think this should be continued to be held against Max. He actually apologized, he hasn’t doubled down, he is biracial and knows first hand how his comments affected his family. He was a young dumb edgelord. There are people (tom) still acting awfully and not growing that are thriving.
Great interview Adam! Nice to hear Max’s perspective. We all deserve forgiveness.

I love this and I feel for him!
You feel bad cuz yall just love your r@cism.

Great interview, Max don’t read into the negativity online.
Max keep your head up!!
Max is such a nice guy.
Great interview. Good luck to Max.
I enjoyed Max and didn’t know what actually happened. I would definitely have a beer with this guy. Interesting life
You did such a great job with this interview! Clear, professional and you picked all the best questions. Also it sounds like max was a rude manager at times so props to you for still delivering something great
Wha a great interview. I had never gave him much thought one way or the other about him. But I like him.
Love Max!
Awe, I actually thought Max was fine on Vanderpump, and I knew it was show drama. You can tell it looked contrived. Especially when Katie was laughing. I get how hard it could be. Stay cool, Maximus.
Great interview!!
Adam, Good job on the interview and giving folks a a voice instead of it being “edited”.
Love all you do, Adam!😘😘😘
Thank you so so much! ❤️
Great interview ❤
This is such a great interview!! Max I wish you nothing but the best!!
We need an update interview with Richardson!
Hi honey saw you on Juicy Scoop too. Sorry about your past trauma. I get it about being a Cancer. I am and so is my 23 year old daughter who was super sensitive as a divorced child. I feel the pain but as much as we feel, man we are strong and move on. Love ya❤
Max I think you did not have the opportunity to really make a mark on VPR. I hope this interview opens some doors
Adam you are really getting good at this so proud of your growth and everything you do!
i do not think he is racist he just said something dumb when he was a teen that is how all teens act and talk.
Max is such a lovely lad
I understand it much better now
One thing that did strike me is the comment that it’s impossible to be racist in California though (sadly of course it is)
Max may have been perceived wrong, because not enough people believed that he was sincere.
Yes. Some people, like this one, do get pissed off when a cast member blames editing for looking bad on the show.
Max you are a cool guy.
Your plants look so good next to each other 😆
Season 8 was the result of production trying to bring in “too many” new cast members. Usually an established show brings in one or two new cast at most.
Love you Adam on Juicy Scoops ❤
Thank you for listening!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Good job Max 👍
I always thought Max was really good looking, so I liked seeing him in season 8. Tbh I don't really remember any of the dramas he was involved in, but I applaud him for considering his role as a manager and how much shit he stirred up.
I think he has not bounced back like the others because they were on the show longer and still had loyal fans.
Max confessed that he slept with Katie during season 8. He informed us about a month ago or so. In the beginning of this interview he even stated he slept with someone he shouldn’t the 1st day filming and that led to a whole thing. 😢
All I heard were excuses about editing and producers (which is understandable) but when Rachel says it. wow Let the girl live.
He deserves to be back on the show. We want Max!
No he doesnt
Yes he does!
He was young and Max and his uncle we’re jabbing back-and-forth this whole thing blew up in his face unfortunately and you guys don’t know the truth Max is a very humble young man and honestly doesn’t hate anybody comments that are mean or hard to read even for me
❤❤❤
I still remember in the beach jax was texting him unkind things 😂
I’ve always thought he was hot
I wish you well and hope you get what you want in life
Its painful to know Max is so clueless he claims you can't live in CA and be a racist.
He is Caucasian, Caucasian and black, and he should be proud of being both
And probably a lot of other ethnicities, considering very few of us nowadays are truly 100% one ethnicity
Facts
I don’t think this should be continued to be held against Max. He actually apologized, he hasn’t doubled down, he is biracial and knows first hand how his comments affected his family. He was a young dumb edgelord. There are people (tom) still acting awfully and not growing that are thriving.
Love this comment
