- A video showing the interiors of my 4x4 Campervan Project. The van took us close to 3 years to build. And the interior work took around 5 months of active work.

This is something that is needed in India. As we saw in India people just turned tempo traveller into a caravan with all leather and pvc that didn't look good and also didn't feel like a cozy caravan but you guys did a work that I can't be able to describe in words everything you guys did was perfect. I am not in that position to build a caravan but when I'm financially stable I directly came to you guys❤

I just watched a 30min van interior detailed video in one sitting. That’s not an easy thing to pull off without being bored. I can’t even watch a tv show without pulling out a phone. That’s a very well thought off layout plan. Beautiful usage of space. The icing on the cake is that the vehicle is 4wd with a low ratio and rear diff lock. Dream overland setup. Hats off man.

That is one awesome 4x4 overland vehicle. That thing has everything. No hotel room required while travelling. And jaideep knows his stuff. Very detailed review.

That’s an optimal sized 4wd caravan for India. Big enough to have all the required facilities but compact enough to drive on Himalayan back roads. Beautiful conceived project dear. Keep up the good work.

Plenty ideas are floating on the Internet. Implementation is difficult and is the key. Kudos to you for sound engineering and pulling it through. Doesn't seem to have jugaad anywhere which I hate. Everywhere there is function and well engineered. Everything has to work now and even a decade later, which I think you have kept in mind. Hats off to the workshop where you got this done. Will want to know their contact details. Lovely job or the only well made camper I have seen from India. Also appreciate your humbleness in giving credit where it is due.

That's a well planned build. I have a couple of questions though. You get these fiber boards that are replacing a lot of plywood, wooden boards, they are much lighter and I hear more durable too. Using that in place of wooden panels, except for countertops would have saved you quite a bit of weight, right?
I also suggest that you use mini LED light/strips with a pressure switch in place of battery operated light for your cabin.
But the main thing I want to know is, is this street legal? I havent watched previous videos yet, so just curious, was this belt on a truck bed or was it already registered as a motorhome? Do you need LCV license to drive this or will LMV license work? Also is possible could you have the approx cost of the build, including the vehicle
Ones that we have used are 6 and 8mm HDHMR boards. Thinner than the regular plywood and turned out to be slightly lighter too.
Yes, it is street legal and registered as a white plate campervan post inspection and needs and LMV license as per the law

Excellent vehicle , I watch lot of video on motor home , pls bed window needed to be open just like the dining one. Also there must be a sky line above bed that will be great if you install it.

4x4 means, most likely it does not have an automatic gear box option. So self driving is a challenge even for the active age group of 30-60 who are likely to attempt to use. Further the basic platform being a commercial vehicle, most enthusiasts may not be readily encouraged. Almost all RVs made in the western world, and by the Japanese are based on Automatic passenger car platform. Appreciate your maiden venture, but suggest to explore building RVs on automatic passenger car platform. Good luck.

One word on Jimny pricing
My worst fears have been addressed by Maruti. Jimny is overpriced by 3 lacs at least in my opinion. The ex showroom price should have been at max the on road price. Base model should have been sub 10lac.

Maruti has to recover the investment made developing the 5 door version. Also, after the initial euphoria, the local demand for the Jimny will be restricted, imho. Exports likely to be the mainstay. The tiring pricing drama panning many months was to create hype and position it as a premium offer, probably. Prices only likely to go up. In this seating format and at this price it is not likely to find favour with the forces as a Gypsy replacement. MSL may introduce the 3 door at some point or a scaled down version of the 5 door, at a lower cost, who knows. A good vehicle nonetheless, but not a “peoples car” nor a Thar beater - Maruti knows that.
