Sweet! You've turned making a work of art into a work of art.👍

Very impressed with the workmanship on the ESP-Touchdown I received last week - I'll be ordering more :) Great work Dustin.

Well very relaxing, almost fell asleep once or twice but the bugger playing the piano kept waking me up. Nice video, i just love watching other people work ;-)

Well working yourself isn't so bad either! I find it very relaxing even without the piano music! ;-)

Hello. HAve you ever tried to use WT32-SC001 plus screen? Its absolutely amazing capacitive touch display with ESP32 S3 controller onboard, made in China. Looks like it fits for making external LCD/dashboard for PC monitoring or even some widgets. Some strange interface development software, but I suspect its possible to use standard graphics interfacing software. Have u tried it already?

It is almost the same as the boards I sell. I even was first. I'm not saying they copied me, but....
The thing my board offers is batter charging. Check ESP32 TouchDown. It is the same but better :)

Yeah, Chinese often copy interesting projects. But its ok using best practices and improve something with further manufacturing. There is plenty of similar devices, now esp32-based are optimal. For the consumers its important the price and standard parameters, tutorials and examples database for the programs developing. Now wt32 looks the cheapest of the screens of similar quality (about 25-30 usd only). So better to concentrate on the projects for standardised displays to popularise them. Anyway you are really good. And additional dashboards have a good prospects for gaming PCs or even workstations where constant monitoring or adjusting needed.

@@ivanz9324 I also wrote a streamdeck style software for my board called FreeTouchDeck. Actually I started with the software and was missing a off features when just combining an ESP32 with a TFT.
And the fact that there I so many clones out there I take as a compliment. The only sad thing is that I can't offer mine for the low prices they do. But on the other hand, I am also one to but the cheap ESP32 Dev Kits from China, doing the same thing to Espressif. So I should not complain (which I don't 😀)

Hi, Can you add a Trackpad mouse feature to the FreeTouchDeck, it would be useful for the esp32 Touchdown

Have a look at: github.com/T-vK/ESP32-BLE-Mouse so yeah should be possible. If you meant "you" as in me, I have no plans doing that. But off course that shouldn't stop you :)

Amazing! This is probably what i'm searching for a while!
Is possible to have more GPIO pins?I've the ESP32 S3 DevKit C1, and has all the pins i need...
Maybe can you help me in case!? 😃

    • @DustinWatts
      @DustinWatts  Год назад

You can add a GPIO expander. The I2C pins are broken out o you can connect one there. Or multiple if you like for a lot of extra GPIO's!

@DustinWatts Nice!Is complicated to expand the board and add also 10 relays for example?

What is a ESP32 and what is it used for

    • @DustinWatts

An ESP32 is an MCU with Wifi and Bluetooth capabilities: www.espressif.com/en/products/socs/esp32
