Nice video m8 I love these old maisonnettes a friend of mine went a few days after I did it and found a full Cannabis grow in the last shop on the row. Needless to say he didnt stick around very long lol. Clarky.
In 1974 and 1975 I stayed with Harry & Doreen Cheetham at number 37. On the corner, next to the flower shop, there was a post-office from where I sent all purchased LP's to The Netherlands. I have fond memories of my stays. Unfortunately Harry and Doreen are no longer with us.
The concrete sculpture is called the Collyhurst totem. It was created by late public artist William Mitchell. His public art pieces can be found all over England, especially in Manchester.
In the 80s it was chippy n the end, bakery, post office, butchers, hairdressers, I think then there was a huge spar store on the end. It was where we all played out on the square. It was a nice place to live.
Next to the flower pot cafe I think it was a kebab house or a fish n chips, I am not sure, I used to lived at Kentford drive court, back in 1999 after 9 pm the area was dead quiet! Nice video mate!
