  • Welcome to my drift build. The vehicle is a 323i BMW E46 with and M52 engine.
In this episode I answer all your frequently asked questions I get on the Bimmer. I love that you all comment, whether it be constructive criticism, or brainstorming problems your having with your builds.
I try my best to reply to everything but sometimes a visual explanation works better.

Started my build earlier this month with a 2000 323ci. Your channel is perfect for inspiration. I welded the stock diff and had a lot of practice to learn. Sadly I sent it too hard on my fifth practice and the diff failed :(
I’m going to a junkyard next week to get a 3.46 off a beat up one. Any recommendations? It’s been impossible to find a 3.91 over here

I think some X5s have a 3:91 in the rear. Not entirely sure but I think I read that a few times. Diff will need a bit of heat in it welded also will need a plate between the planetary gears to be strong.
Keep plugging away. You’ll feel proud a year on when it all comes together.

I have a question about your lock kit. Im running the same one on my 323i and im having problems with my self centering. The steering wheel is not returning at all from any angle of turn left or right. Did you have any issues yourself with this? Any help would be appreciated buddy 🙏🏻

No idea. I hear some other people say that on groups and forums. Not just with that lock kit. Mine is great. I would take off the tie rods and see if it’s tight to turn the tyre by hand. Try and round it down like that.

I have a lil question the whole front part of my engine is covered in oil do you happen to know what the most likely cause of this is?
    thanks

You’ll need to degrease it all and recheck. They’re common for valve cover leaks, and usually it leaks on to the headers and causes a burning smell. Also power steering can leak at the front. But it could be from anything. Good luck. 🤞

@@BertusBuilds yeah theres definitely a burning smell after driving, ill make sure to clean the front of the engine and then check where its leaking. thanks!

Wait AUS came with catless headers!!!???? #MINDBLOWN

I think it’s a LH/RH drive thing. RHD needs room for the steering shaft. Im not sure.

Only the M52TUB e46s came with the catless headers. The M54 put cats in the headers later! I think all models had cats further down the exhaust anyways.
