Asami is a phenomenal artist. You have given the best reaction I have seen for LOVEBITES for a very long time. I have the great fortune to be attending Asami’s Christmas show (which isn’t Christmasy) in just under two weeks. Believe me when I say that you could devote the whole channel for the next year, once a week, to LOVEBITES and Asami because this is the norm for them. They don’t do average, they do excellent or masterpiece. No such thing as an album filler in 60 tracks. Her range is incredible, her stamina endless and you have confirmed what I, as a layman, suspected, that she has an impeccable technique that allows her to sing her heart out for two hours. Thank you for reacting to Lovebites, the most talented ladies in metal. Each individual of this band is a virtuoso of their instrument(s). And they have no peer. Keep this in mind, English is not her natural tongue. She does has a heavy accent. But her technicality and range is world class level.
Not much to add: I've been into Heavy Metal since the 1980s, also into Jazz and classical music. Lovebites are one of the best bands I have encountered so far. I was lucky to see them live in June and the smile hasn't left my face since. I have not heard one bad song from them.

👑🎤Asami-san👑(Vo) has been studying classical ballet from the age of 2 to 18. Asami-san (Vo) was originally an R&B and soul singer. She had never listened to metal music at all, which she says was "music from another dimension. Discover another of Asami's talents, having moved on from R&B and soul. She has a wide range of belts from low to high(e5), and is able to perform them with certainty. I have always felt that Asami is both a vocalist and an actress. Asami-san can sing in a variety of ways depending on the song.

ASAMI, the singer, was a trained ballerina from early childhood to high school, then she changed up to be a singer because her height (4'10") was not a "standard height" for the ballerina's world. She went to US to study R&B, Soul, Gospel and Jazz. She started been a support vocal for various japanese bands in Japan until LOVEBITES was looking for a vocalist in 2016. ASAMI sent them a "demo" and the band liked her voice, so she was choosen as the vocalist for the band. "Metal" was a "new genre" for her... and ASAMI liked to try into it. Now the rest is history!!! It’s good when music knowledgeable people react to Lovebites for the very first time because they really appreciate this band. Yes, these beautiful Japanese women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile proficient musicians. Their live performances are just outstanding. Their main influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own and unique style. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako (M&M) are already legendary in just a little more than seven years. Asami was a R&B, soul and jazz singer before she joined the band; no opera training, so her voice is rather clean. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist, trained since 3 years old. Usually they play heavier stuff but they’re so versatile. Recently they toured Japan, Asia, Europe and, for the first time, the USA. They also toured Europe in 2018 and 2019. Their presentation at Wacken Open Air, Germany, 2018, was a great success. Asami is the singer, and a ballet dancer since age 2. Miyako is a concert pianist and picked up guitar in college. As is the composer of most of their songs. Midori the other guitarist was a session music for a major record label before joining and is a Japanese Champion Fitness Model who took 1st place in s competition during covid.

The one thing you might find hard to believe, this song is amazing but it is the one you listen to as a fan when you need to chill out and need a break from the craziness that is Lovebites. You put this one on and kinda say "alright let's just watch them take it easy for 7 minutes.". I'm sure so many people are gonna be giving you recommendations left and right not only for this band but the whole wonderful Japanese female rock and metal scene so enjoy the journey. It’s hard to believe despite the highest level of skills and quality from every member of this band, Asami, the lead vocal remains the most controversial among the members from the metal fans. It takes a vocal coach’s expert breakdown to fully appreciate Asami’s voice. Thank you for setting that straight about Asami’s singing mastery and quality of her voice. Somehow there are so called metal fans ther are so set in the way with their preset idea about defined metal vocal for thee favorite genre that they could be turned off from listening to LB due to their complaint of Asami’s tone, or, accent, or articulation. I will continue listening to them for sure! Interesting that she's a "controversial" figure in the band. I don't see how anyone with any form of musical education would come to that conclusion. Is it because she came from RnB or is it non Japanese people having an issue with her accent do you think?
Yes, some listeners seem to use Asami’s voice as an excuse to prevent them from listening to the great LB music. LB is a rare Japanese band that chooses to sing exclusively in English, many of the LB haters have blamed her heavy accent from listening to LB. I’ve seen LB live in London this past July from about 10’ away and the quality and power of her vocal will be something that I’ll savor for a very long time. It still brings a smile to my face to this day. Since Asami’s writes all the LB lyrics in English and fer speaking voice is quite clear and easily understood. I think it would be a great interest to most LB fans to watch a vocal breakdown from a professional vocal coach about Asami’s singing style. Asami hardly sings in Japanese as there is only one song in their catalog that she has recorded in both languages ‘ Bravehearted “ which was written by their Drummer and band co-founder Haruna. I don’t speak or understand any Japanese but Asami’ sounds like a completely different singer in Japanese as her singing in Japanese just seems more fluid and even more beautiful, probably due to her being to be more relaxed in her native tongue so she could emote and express more naturally. It would great to hear your reaction on her vocal in both versions of the song

"Frozen serenade" is the 10th song of this concert (out of 19 that night). Amazing, right?! This song is one of their Progressive/ epic ones, while the band leans into the Neo-classical Power, Speed, and even Thrash categories in the majority of their songs. The way this track - and performance, which, btw, was right in the middle of a 2 hour set - is put together is not just tight and technically awesome, but a work of total art, including the visuals and emotional impact. The groove is mesmerizing, the guitar lines are counter-intuitive in many places, the Spanish guitar bit is to die for, and I just thought this now, at 11:12, it is two percussive instruments, piano and drums, battling it out! Makes sense somehow, but I haven't heard that done a lot, if ever! What to say of the solos and the whole band going up a level towards the end... let there be silence. I will just point out the lyrics not just for being poetic and appropriately wintry - but try to actually sing a line like "all living things precious and irreplaceable"... at the top of your register over sonic mayhem... in a foreign language. This is God tier song, probably the greatest by them, but despair not, LOVEBITES have no bad or even mediocre ones. This is a band to return to often, and they will keep surprising.

So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They also played their first US shows this year in September. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. In terms of pure technical musicianship, LOVEBITES are the most talented metal band to appear in the last three decades. The only two metal bands that could match them today in term of musicianship are Dream Theater and Symphony-X.

Glad you liked it. This is a beautiful and complex song, but far from their craziest. You were impressed by their speed and stamina. But they have much more to give. They also have much harder stuff. And they have loads of songs and videos and all songs are good. They do not do bad or half good songs. If you want max stamina I recommend "Soldiers Stand Solitarily" live from 2023. The drummer and the singer are here working on top of what's possible IMHO. And the rest are doing hard work also. One video that is often liked by vocal people is "Holy War" live in 2020 from Zepp Divercity. I have seen both vocal coaches and opera singers being just amazed, in particular I remember the reaction by the reactor "The Charismatic Voice" And if you like piano, then I think the live version of Swan Song with Chopin intro is one of the better, but not the only, one.

There is so much talent in this band: Asami the singer (who started with R&B, Soul and Gospel, Lovebites is her first metal experience) also is a trained ballerina and writes most of the lyrics for Lovebites, Miyako who plays guitar also is a virtuoso piano player (also keyboards, bass and drums) who composes most of the music for Lovebites, Midori the blonde guitar player is the "crazy shredder" (and also very successful in Japan in bodybuilding and fitness competitions); both together (M&M) are one of the best guitar duos I have ever heard. Miho is phenomenal on bass and also one of the founders of the band (and - as all band members - also piano plus backvocals); Haruna on drums (co-founder of the band) is one of the best todays drummers in the world with a stamina you would not expect in such a small young woman (she is about 1,46 m high). My first thought when you said you were a fan of Dream Theatre was, this will blow your mind. I hope, and fully expect, after seeing your reaction, that you'll probably dive into their catalogue. Essentially if you're not introduced to certain bands or music from your friends you will never hear of them. If it's not "main stream" here, it gets no air time.

Asami is a phenomenal artist. You have given the best reaction I have seen for LOVEBITES for a very long time. I have the great fortune to be attending Asami’s Christmas show (which isn’t Christmasy) in just under two weeks. Believe me when I say that you could devote the whole channel for the next year, once a week, to LOVEBITES and Asami because this is the norm for them. They don’t do average, they do excellent or masterpiece. No such thing as an album filler in 60 tracks. Her range is incredible, her stamina endless and you have confirmed what I, as a layman, suspected, that she has an impeccable technique that allows her to sing her heart out for two hours.

Thank you for reacting to Lovebites, the most talented ladies in metal. Each individual of this band is a virtuoso of their instrument(s). And they have no peer. Keep this in mind, English is not her natural tongue. She does has a heavy accent. But her technicality and range is world class level.
Not much to add: I've been into Heavy Metal since the 1980s, also into Jazz and classical music. Lovebites are one of the best bands I have encountered so far. I was lucky to see them live in June and the smile hasn't left my face since. I have not heard one bad song from them.

ASAMI, the singer, was a trained ballerina from early childhood to high school, then she changed up to be a singer because her height (4'10") was not a "standard height" for the ballerina's world. She went to US to study R&B, Soul, Gospel and Jazz. She started been a support vocal for various japanese bands in Japan until LOVEBITES was looking for a vocalist in 2016. ASAMI sent them a "demo" and the band liked her voice, so she was choosen as the vocalist for the band. "Metal" was a "new genre" for her... and ASAMI liked to try into it. Now the rest is history!!!

It’s good when music knowledgeable people react to Lovebites for the very first time because they really appreciate this band. Yes, these beautiful Japanese women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile proficient musicians. Their live performances are just outstanding. Their main influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own and unique style. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako (M&M) are already legendary in just a little more than seven years. Asami was a R&B, soul and jazz singer before she joined the band; no opera training, so her voice is rather clean. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist, trained since 3 years old. Usually they play heavier stuff but they’re so versatile. Recently they toured Japan, Asia, Europe and, for the first time, the USA. They also toured Europe in 2018 and 2019. Their presentation at Wacken Open Air, Germany, 2018, was a great success. They toured the UK in 2019, opening for Dragonforce. Welcome to the Wolfpack. ASAMI was singing Soul and R&B, and didn’t listen to any Metal before joining LOVEBITES. The goal was to add a bright sound that would offer balance to the dark tones of Heavy Metal. I saw Lovebites up close (like 15’) in small clubs in LA and SF earlier this year, and ASAMI sang just like that for 90 minutes at each show.
MIYAKO began studying piano at age three, picked up guitar as a teenager, writes the music, and can play all the other instruments.

Asami is the singer, and a ballet dancer since age 2. Miyako is a concert pianist and picked up guitar in college. As is the composer of most of their songs.
Midori the other guitarist was a session music for a major record label before joining and is a Japanese Champion Fitness Model who took 1st place in s competition during covid.

The one thing you might find hard to believe, this song is amazing but it is the one you listen to as a fan when you need to chill out and need a break from the craziness that is Lovebites. You put this one on and kinda say "alright let's just watch them take it easy for 7 minutes.". I'm sure so many people are gonna be giving you recommendations left and right not only for this band but the whole wonderful Japanese female rock and metal scene so enjoy the journey. The only thing I'll add is that when it comes to Japanese music the live version IS ALWAYS THE BEST WAY TO GO.

It’s hard to believe despite the highest level of skills and quality from every member of this band, Asami, the lead vocal remains the most controversial among the members from the metal fans. It takes a vocal coach’s expert breakdown to fully appreciate Asami’s voice. Thank you for setting that straight about Asami’s singing mastery and quality of her voice. Somehow there are so called metal fans ther are so set in the way with their preset idea about defined metal vocal for thee favorite genre that they could be turned off from listening to LB due to their complaint of Asami’s tone, or, accent, or articulation. Yes, some listeners seem to use Asami’s voice as an excuse to prevent them from listening to the great LB music. LB is a rare Japanese band that chooses to sing exclusively in English, many of the LB haters have blamed her heavy accent from listening to LB. I’ve seen LB live in London this past July from about 10’ away and the quality and power of her vocal will be something that I’ll savor for a very long time. It still brings a smile to my face to this day. Since Asami’s writes all the LB lyrics in English and fer speaking voice is quite clear and easily understood. I think it would be a great interest to most LB fans to watch a vocal breakdown from a professional vocal coach about Asami’s singing style. Asami hardly sings in Japanese as there is only one song in their catalog that she has recorded in both languages ‘ Bravehearted “ which was written by their Drummer and band co-founder Haruna. I don’t speak or understand any Japanese but Asami’ sounds like a completely different singer in Japanese as her singing in Japanese just seems more fluid and even more beautiful, probably due to her being to be more relaxed in her native tongue so she could emote and express more naturally. It would great to hear your reaction on her vocal in both versions of the song

Amazing, right?! This song is one of their Progressive/ epic ones, while the band leans into the Neo-classical Power, Speed, and even Thrash categories in the majority of their songs. The way this track - and performance, which, btw, was right in the middle of a 2 hour set - is put together is not just tight and technically awesome, but a work of total art, including the visuals and emotional impact. The groove is mesmerizing, the guitar lines are counter-intuitive in many places, the Spanish guitar bit is to die for, and I just thought this now, at 11:12, it is two percussive instruments, piano and drums, battling it out! Makes sense somehow, but I haven't heard that done a lot, if ever! What to say of the solos and the whole band going up a level towards the end... let there be silence.
I will just point out the lyrics not just for being poetic and appropriately wintry - but try to actually sing a line like "all living things precious and irreplaceable"... at the top of your register over sonic mayhem... in a foreign language. This is God tier song, probably the greatest by them, but despair not, LOVEBITES have no bad or even mediocre ones. This is a band to return to often, and they will keep surprising.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray.
In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest.
They also played their first US shows this year in September.
In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs.

Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

Always pleased to see a fellow Aussie reacting to my favourite band of all time. In terms of pure technical musicianship, LOVEBITES are the most talented metal band to appear in the last three decades. The only two metal bands that could match them today in term of musicianship are Dream Theater and Symphony-X.
Just a quick heads up. In the most recent Dad and Son reaction, I strongly suspect "Pilgrim" is you-know-who in disguise (not 100% sure yet). This guy has recently been posting "nice" comments in other reactions just to build up his so-called "credibility" with the Wolfpack, but he is subtly showing his true colors now.

Glad you liked it. This is a beautiful and complex song, but far from their craziest. You were impressed by their speed and stamina. But they have much more to give. They also have much harder stuff. And they have loads of songs and videos and all songs are good. They do not do bad or half good songs.
If you want max stamina I recommend "Soldiers Stand Solitarily" live from 2023. The drummer and the singer are here working on top of what's possible IMHO. And the rest are doing hard work also.
One video that is often liked by vocal people is "Holy War" live in 2020 from Zepp Divercity. I have seen both vocal coaches and opera singers being just amazed, in particular I remember the reaction by the reactor "The Charismatic Voice"
And if you like piano, then I think the live version of Swan Song with Chopin intro is one of the better, but not the only, one.

There is so much talent in this band: Asami the singer (who started with R&B, Soul and Gospel, Lovebites is her first metal experience) also is a trained ballerina and writes most of the lyrics for Lovebites, Miyako who plays guitar also is a virtuoso piano player (also keyboards, bass and drums) who composes most of the music for Lovebites, Midori the blonde guitar player is the "crazy shredder" (and also very successful in Japan in bodybuilding and fitness competitions); both together (M&M) are one of the best guitar duos I have ever heard.
