Keep going like the travellers did 7 days a week to put food on the table and you will be as good as them soon and you wont need the 2 hangers on either
@WhistlimgMushroom on a full set of Uillean pipes, the player can change the key of the drones with the inside of the wrist during play, not possible with any other type of pipes
+phcoh they aren't really changing the drones at all. they are separate parts called regulators. the regulators are like a chanter with keys covering the holes and when you press the keys, the holes open and you can get different chords to accompany the melody on the chanter. the drones do as their namesake, they drone on and on with the same sound. though it is stunning music!
She just had them turned off. There's a lever which turns on drones and regs. Playing this instrument busking, saves energy when drones turned off. Piper's usually start with practice set, chanter only, then get drones added, then regulators. 2 reasons. One, they are expensive, two, the queue for full set with pipe makers is years long. They will make a practice set more quickly, and squeeze it in if you talk to them nicely.
That's O.K., neither did he. LOL Seriously, though, it was very nice. The cajon player was doing what any percussionist is supposed to do, keep the timing on track with a steady beat. He did his job. Furthermore, on such a low quality recording we cannot hear the sound produced by both hands, just the deeper thump of the center slap.
An absolutely brilliant musician and two lunatics on the right
the lad in the red coat is very talented :-)
Shows what tons of money, quality music lessons and countless hours of practice banging on a box can produce.
Important is to be part of the band !
Nice music love it. Good job
Sounds great, can hear all 3 instruments clearly, shame the wind was wooshing over the Mic.
Irishman, please. Let’s not use slurs 😉

Whats the name of the tunes?
the first one I know as Sally Gardens and the second one as George White's favorite
Sally gardens? That's a trad slow song isn't it? Re' Clannad'.
misstinwhistle1 yes, the slow song you're referring to is titled "Down by the Sally Gardens", whereas the reel played here is simply "Sally Gardens"
His little box drum is pretty awesome :D
That's strange set of pipes. Where are drones? Are drones just removed or is this some special compact set?
WhistlingMushroom drones and registers are laid across her lap. It's an uilleann pipe.
Joel McGinnis I know what it is. I play it too :-) But it seems that she has no drones.
@@WhistlingMushroom she has removed the bass drone end

What about the tunes played?
+lacornamusadipaolo The first tune is called The Sally Gardens, the second tune is unknown to me.

SwaggaUnflawedKel It’s a woman, not that it should matter one way or another.
@@Twittler1 damn... my comment is 6 years old. I was pretty stupid back then 🙈. She's great. Nothing else needed to be said ✌❤
SwaggaUnflawedKel Cool. Peace and Love 😊❤️😊
worst cajon player ever.
But MAD PROPS to the Uillean piper and the guitarist.
you obviously have no idea what the cajon player was trying to do...
