Teachers, professors , HOD should go through psychiatric analysis and then only should get such prestigious posts . Authorities should stand beside her and take strict actions against the atrocities of few people. Also for the good atmosphere of their college.

I have seen this first hand. I am not a doctor but I am pregnant and my gynaecologist has told me so many times that you are so lucky that you will be getting 6 months of maternity leave. We have to join back in just 7 days. And she was behaving as if getting this 6 months of maternity leave is undue privileged. I was really shocked to see such statements coming from a doctor with 20+ years of experience. Maternity leave is a right that the law provides every working woman in India and everyone should get it. I was so shocked to see a senior doctor encouraging and normalising such a toxic work culture knowing full well about the impacts of it.

This is also the reality of all branded private schools in Delhi region also apart from medical college. Ragging, bullying, using offensive words targeting female audience , sex is very normal for them. It is the problem of whole education system of India. Doctor is considered as a noble profession but is hidden with sufferings and sacrifice that a student went through in order to reach this position.

  • @daliabiswas7547

No. People who do this have no remorse whatsoever and they get intimidated by the ones who actually show the guts to go and take an action against them. I have faced this all throughout my mbbs and I'm a govt merit student from a private medical college in Bengaluru ( they had that provision of 35 govt merit seats in every private college back in 2017 and all. I have no clue about now.) and I can tell you honestly MBBS was a true trauma in my life and internship being the worst of all the experiences. So toxicity needs to stop being normalised because it aint cool to traumatise your juniors neither is going to earn any sort of respect.

It is all abt competition ! This is life , but this is wrong ! I myself am a victim of it ! Leaves are a big deal! Even inter dept fights between consultants ! Hope such incidents come up more.

2 years back i have joined ophthal NBEMS diploma in andhra, only one assistant professor over there. No seniors for me.. It's only me and my colleague ( both are girl PGs ). He is an womeniser.. My CO pg maintained realtionship with him.. They used to spend nights together..
He used to misbehave with me... Both have shown hell to me.. He used to give more chances to her in OT. He used to scold me for no reason.. Because of toxicity i left my ophthal Diploma..

I don't know why such toxicity in residency. I had to discontinue MD pathology bcz of seniors harrasment. I lost interest in the subject too. They don't consider ur health issues . We r normal human beings only.
