All the leaders belonging to the two categories of countries, ie, the oppressor and the oppressed clamour for non- violence or value of peace. But in practice only a handful of leaders belonging to the class of Gandhiji, Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther King ,of course representing the oppressed, genuinely practiced what they professed in the last century. Though after huge suffering they (except Martin Luther King) lived up to see the fruits of it. It seems now as customary, the logic of eye for an eye prevails or dominate the world political order. Let us hope lessons of tolerance professed by Christ and such great human lives prevail, though the light is seen much far away in the contemporary context in West Asia or in any part of the world. We only gain through optimism. Hence I am also optimistic. ❤
Sir, the Israelis may appear to be fools holding arms. Unless they hold arms they will be totally anhilated. Israel is a tiny country in the entire vast region ( taking parts of Asia and Africa together ) which is the only civilized democratic country ( comparatively) in the whole region. Rest of the region is ruled by monarchs, military dictators and dictators. I beg to differ a little from your views. Actually to me this war has not much to do with conflict between religious Ideologies. But I don't totally disagree with you regarding the role of religious Ideologies here. A few cunning people with vested interests are taking advantage of the ignorance of the majority of the people by raking up their religious and regional sentiments. Practically it is a war between forces of Democracy and forces of Despotism ( of various kinds). Though now we see a lot of blood shed and destruction and it seems it may continue for some more time, but altimately it will lead to something better that is replacing monarchy with Democracy. Russia and China will take side with the monarchs as it suits to their ideology of dictatorship. Ultimately the Will of God shall prevail.The forces of democracy will come out victorious in the end and the world situation will change for better. This is my personal view Sir. It could be entirely flawed also.
