Since I have to keep repeating it in comments, in most cases if I do not put airlines, registrations, flt numbers, locations ect in the title or description, they are left out for personal or work related reasons. This video, as well as every other video on my channel, has comment approval turned on. Meaning, it is pointless for the people who keep commenting it, you're wasting your time and no one is seeing it. Regardless of if you agree or disagree with it, this is my video and my channel, I will continue to run it in a fashion where it as well as myself are protected.
Looks like they are keeping the old economy seats and just refurbishing them. I'm not complaining because i prefer the 738 seats over the main cabin seats on the larger 739 which are so uncomfortable because the back of the seat cushion is often times raised up in the back which usually leads to lower back pain (for me at least) when you are done with the flight.
The overhead bins are more spacious in the 900. These seats are nice but having easy-to-load and spacious overhead is more important if you bring a large carry-on.
I'm flying First class on Delta on this aircraft in October (ORD to SEA) I hope my aircraft is one with these new seats. Not that the old ones are bad) Comfort plus seats aren't bad.
They did it the cheap way.. it's just hard to tell. You can kind of see it at 0:49. The bin doors are a little more curvy than the standard boxier late-90's design, allowing for larger more modern carry-ons and reduce the amount of gate-checked luggage. They did the same thing on United's 757-300, and Airbus A320-family. I do kinda wish they had done what American did to their oldest 738's (built around the same time at this plane^) and install the considerably larger sky-interior bins on their 20+ year old 738 examples. Great video!
I was LITERALLY about to ask the same thing! A waste of money in my opinion...if your going to do a cabin refresh, why not go all out? Seems the only "upgrade" is for the people in 1st!
Yeah, Delta’s ordered some MAX’s and maybe some A320 neos as well. They’re going to take probably a decade before they get them though, so I guess they’ve decided to make this fleet more serviceable.
Thank you for your feedback. Despite the occasional comment of people wanting to see more things like galleys, crewrests, cockpits, ect, I do not plan on changing what is shown in these type videos. They would simply get to long trying to show everything. The majority of people like what is shown and the time frame in which it is shown. Therefore I will keep sticking with the format of a cabin walkthrough and a quick overview of a seat in each section.
The Economy IFEs look like Panasonic, but who made IFEs for First Class? It doesn’t have the plastic stripe at the bottom which would be found in Delta’s in-house “Wireless Tablet” IFEs, but it also lacks the angled bottom found in most Panasonic IFEs
Sorry, but in most cases if I do not put airlines, registrations, flt numbers, locations ect in the title or description, they are left out for personal or work related reasons.
And for those of you who don't seem to want to respect what I said in my reply, this video like every other video on my channel is set up for comment approval. So even if you keep commenting the things that you are commenting, no one ever sees it...
I think the -900s already have this interior. In the past all of the -800s I flew on had the old interior and the -900s had this new interior, but I think that is changing for the -800s.
@@MTAviationPhotoFilm The 737-900ERs feature the older First Class found on the A321, A320, and A319 as well. I'll bet that the ex-LionAir birds will get this interior once Delta decides it's time to give it this interior.
@@MTAviationPhotoFilm Oh, ok. Well all I know is that I flew on two -800s in the last year or so (I guess the first was actually a little more than a year ago now), and they both had the really old interior with the vintage screens. Respective tail numbers were N3765 (on 12/21/2022) and N3768 (on 02/19/2023). I also have a friend who flew on two Delta 738s, but he was lucky as they both had the new(er) interior. He was on N399DA and N3739P on 05/21/2023 and 06/04/2023 respectively.

Surprised not to see the upgraded OH bins?

No these are new seats entirely. The 757-200(H) retrofits have them as well.

True. The -900ER fleet at Delta has the Boeing Sky Interior which has larger overhead storage than the older classic Boeing interior on Delta’s -800’s
Wow! Looking good. I like a new seats. Much better than old seats 💺 the old interior seats is in the past.

Comfort plus seats aren't bad.
I wonder if Delta is going to do this on all of the domestic fleet
I wonder why they did not switch out the overhead bins for the newer ones that hold more luggage?

Can you please start showing the exit rows leg room?

@MTAviationPhotoFilm Thank you for letting me know. Have a great day
Which aircraft is this? How many have been redone?
Flown in these new first class seats twice… amenities are an upgrade however, comfort is a downgrade :(
I heard the 757-200s are getting the same treatment, but with a different style, I also heard they are getting upgraded winglets, is that true?
Awesome had no idea this was happening! Are the 900s getting this and is that the same first class seat as on the 321neo?
@nickfenton2334, incorrect. This is the only 737 to have this. The only other aircraft with these new first class seats are the a321Neo
Will this be rolling out on 737’s? Or are they only on this 737?
Where's the IFE screens for the row just behind first class? Usually the trays are in the armrests right?
Yes
Why did AA remove their IFEs from the 737 800s?
The Economy IFEs look like Panasonic, but who made IFEs for First Class? It doesn’t have the plastic stripe at the bottom which would be found in Delta’s in-house “Wireless Tablet” IFEs, but it also lacks the angled bottom found in most Panasonic IFEs
Delta in-house.
It is still a Panasonic IFE system
Looking forward.
Thanks
Assuming the 75H refits look the same in economy?
Correct. Most of those are done already though.
Hopefully I'll fly on Delta Airlines in the future
this is interior is so nice, what's the registration of this bird ?
Sorry, but in most cases if I do not put airlines, registrations, flt numbers, locations ect in the title or description, they are left out for personal or work related reasons.
@@MTAviationPhotoFilm ok I understand, will this new cabin be installed on all delta 738s?
Yes, by the end of 2025 according to the airline
WHATTTT, How did I not know this was a thing. It looks spectacular but is missing the sky interior tho

with united and delta making upgrades, american isn’t looking good
American's 738s have all been upgraded to their latest standard.
@@aadvantagegold5220 American reminds me of spirit
But United wins in its retrofitted 737-800.
Compared to United, American has the best service and gourmet food. As I said, compared to United.
American is unveiling their Flagship Suites this year
How many seats in total?
160
Info is in the description
Nice, but would be better if they had the newer overhead bins... (ret DL pilot)
What registration was that?
Sorry, but in most cases if I do not put airlines, registrations, flt numbers, locations ect in the title or description, they are left out for personal or work related reasons.
@@MTAviationPhotoFilm Thank you for informing me I did not know about this prior to you telling me.
Do you have to pay to sit in the row with the plug door?
No, seeing as to how this is a 737-800 and doesn't have one...
Awesome... My First Class looks better
I feel bad for the people who chose comfort+ behind business class because they have no tv to watch while flying:(
They do, the IFE screens fold up from between the seats in the first row of comfort plus.
Oh ok
Wow! Tha segregation! 💀
