Now I understand why people say that it’s better to play through stamina and have more resources. As for me, hybridization killed class uniqueness. Many thanks to the author for the work done, for me as a beginner, a lot of useful information.
bro, I love these explanations. I don't know why, but all the other parse videos treat you as if you are already a master at parsing and know everything about skills and passives. I got my first 118k and I'm still practicing for those 120k+
That's great to hear - thanks for the comment! We haven't been on RUclips that long, but Maya and I have been running an ESO teaching guild for years and always try to make content which is instructive or helpful - not just for clicks.
Dude awesome build and explanation! I’ve been playing this game for about a month and a half now and I’m up around 100k dps. I’ve been following the written guide on your website and was wondering if you could explain how the trash build works. Thanks again!
I can't think of any scenario I'd choose NB over another class for outside of PvP these days, and that really sucks because I have like 4 of them maxed out just sitting in the character screen
@@knowlen I presume that you were a raid lead what would be a character that should I invest in for the future besides a DK. I am strictly support. Stagger Alkosh and encratis . Any help would be great
@@KennyPerry-t6w arcanist is S tier for full damage, a bit ahead of DK even --and can run Azurblight or MK + Zenas Disc skill for group buff. For (non DK) supports it's like EC Cro, MK sorc (w/ coral riptide). Templars are situationally good (eg; vHoF last boss, most 4 man content). The DPS classes that hold back groups right now are nightblade and (to a lesser extent) warden.
@@KennyPerry-t6w if you're used to DK, I think stam sorc will feel slow outside of trials because it has no cleave. Arcanist will feel faster (beam cleave is more bursty) and indestructible (beam shields 50% HP). Templar pacing is slightly slower, survivability is a bit better if you take heal morphs for PoL and beam (which is common if not parsing). The biggest difference for Cro is you have to aim blast bones at a valid target to cast it + the burst is delayed, many ppl find it clunky compared to the other classes. It's also the lowest parsing class this patch --which might be important if your rosters are restricted on parse numbers (eg; parsing 120k+ on stam sorc is easier than hitting 100k+ on a necro right now).
What add-ons are you using for your set up? Im new to nightblade and eso on pc so any info on this would be great. And also, love how well ur video is put together
Thanks for the kind words! I use Action Duration Reminder, Light Attack Helper and GCD (Global Cooldown) Bar. The last two aren't necessary but nice for practice and dummy testing. Finally, I should warn you that Magicka Nightblade is weaker this patch because they changed Concealed Weapon. A shame, but it's still cool as hell and hopefully they'll buff it soon. Enjoy!
@@NinjaPulls thanks for the quick response!! I will add those for sure! Is there any alterations to your keybinds? The rotation looks too clean to be default controls. 😂
I use Action Duration Reminder, which I personally prefer over Fancy Action Bar. But plenty of players will say the opposite, so it's a matter of taste I guess. Hope that helps!
It's all situational. Ansuul isn't that great unless you can regularly interrupt. Then again, the base bonus has no proc condition, so it can be handy when other Minor Slayer sets aren't an option. TLDR: it's rarely the best option, but is a perfectly decent backup set.
@@NinjaPullswhat to use when you can't keep your relequen stacks up? What medium armor can you use on magicka? Also any alternatives to pillar of nirn? Aegis caller, depths?
Use Ghastly Eye Bowl food, Essence of Spell Power potions and wear at least 2 pieces of Light Armor (you can add more if you need more sustain and/or penetration). And if all that isn't enough, slot Siphoning Strikes on the back bar (you don't need to cast it, just let it work passively).
Hmmm, make sure you’re using the correct food and potions, and have all the necessary passives and CPs. You shouldn’t really have sustain issues with this setup.
Yeah, sadly there is no such thing, as I explained (at length) in the video. You can of course use a staff front bar with Concealed Weapon, but there’s no point since it’s a melee ability anyway. Hopefully next patch! Check the new class sets vid if you don’t know what I mean.
On the last patch I mained MagDK, on the dummy I was using the same sets you used here, but on trials the raid lead told us to change the 2H sword for a inferno staff (to have the ulti, and wall of elements). And also on some bosses having depths was a must. Will those modifications work for in game content on this MagBlade?
Every raid lead does things their own way. I'm puzzled that yours would ask you to use Fiery Rage instead of Standard of Might (which is much stronger) or why Whorl would be considered a "must". I can only assume we're talking about a very specific strat for a specific fight. Anyway, YES you can use an Inferno Staff instead here as well, but I would only consider it if Encratis is being provided. Even then, sustain will be harder and you will lose a bit of damage potential.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Whorl is 3-4k behind on single target (Relequen can deal a LOT of damage if your weaving is a little slower) but obviously in multi-target fights Whorl can become more useful. And it's often nice to have a Light set in the mix so you can alter the ratio of Light/Medium pieces that you're wearing. So yeah, Whorl is a perfectly good idea.
Hey man. new to magblade and its definitely going to be my main. Just wondering if there is anything that would be changed for the new update. Thank you
Nothing major, but I’m working on the new Nightblade mini-guides this weekend. Pillar of Nirn is definitely back as a contender, and you can tweak glyphs/enchants, but the abilities stay the same.
There's a mini-guide shown at the start in the video and linked in the description, plus the info page at the end of the DPS test. For PvE Magicka DPS, always put 64 Attribute Points into Magicka. You can also visit www.ninja-pulls.com/dps/nightblade for more details.
The same build as for stam but different morphs makes me sick in this game actually, we can easily remove RP from RPG tho. And nb is not the only class. Hope zos will make some movements towards this.
Yeah I'm still not 100% sure why they decided to hybridise everything. The strongest setups always tend to cluster around a handful of sets and loadouts, and hybridisation made that worse. The Nightblade set coming with Endless Archive at least suggests that ZOS are aware of the problem. Anyway, thanks for the comment and thanks for not blaming ME - it's crazy how many commenters seem to think I (or other content creators) are responsible for the devs' decisions.🤣
@@NinjaPulls You are doing a great job with these videos. They seem to be the only powerfull builds for PVE, coz I tried a huge amount of different options. Especially NBs. Looking forward to new updates and videos!

You CAN still play with staves but yeah, the disadvantage is real. I’m with you - it’d be nice for staves to be a little closer in terms of power. Hopefully we’ll get there soon.
Right here: www.ninja-pulls.com/dps/templar I'd love to do a vid as well, but they're a lot of work and there's a ton of stuff coming up with Endless Archive and Update 40.
Hey! It's not quite that simple. Kilt has more valuable stats but we shouldn't need them on a Nightblade because we're already near the crit cap. However, if your group is missing crucial buffs (i.e. dungeons, casual groups) or you need to drop some Medium Armor pieces then yeah, Kilt will get you more damage than the Zaan proc. Hope that helps!
Don’t hold your breath. Hybridisation may not be to everyone’s taste, but it’s the culmination of how this combat system was meant to work since the very beginning. Even before the game was released the devs were saying that this was their goal. And it’s been fully implemented for 2 years at this point. It ain’t perfect, but it ain’t going anywhere.
Check out some of the earliest gameplay videos before release. The devs make a big deal out of the fact that you can use any weapon you want. If anything, the game is much closer to that original vision than it ever was. Personally I’m not 100% pro hybridisation, but arguing for LESS build freedom is something I don’t understand at all.
This is how ESO works. Hybridisation was almost 2 years ago. Time to get over it. Everything here is Magicka-based. All 3 spammables cost Magicka and 40% of our DOTs as well. A Stamblade could never run this setup, and I'm not forcing anyone else to use it either. I'm just trying to help people improve their damage, so gimme a break.
